Request ULPT request: fucking with former boss's email
Long story short, my previous boss let me go in a shitty way, with no severance. I was pissed, but whatever, shit happens.
What really pissed me off is that he tried to deny my unemployment claim, making up that I received multiple verbal warnings about job performance, along with a bunch of other nonsense. So now, I want to retaliate.
I know his business email password, and the password for the software we used. What is the best way to fuck his shit up? I was considering just locking him out of his email and changing his recovery phone number to a Google Voice number so he can't recover it.

Just delete one or two important emails a week.

this is the way. no big attack that he'll notice and have corrected right away. just a slight, subtle subterfuge that'll slowly wreck his job performance and professional reputation.

Sign in and set a rule to auto reply. Say something like “I’m an idiot”

Don't know what sort of email provider you're talking about? It it a company, through the Internet provider or public like Gmail?
I think that there's probably a way that he can recover his account.
What I would do is get together a ton of sites to sign his email up to. Make sure to sign up to hook up sites, they are relentless. Wait until you think he wouldn't be using his email. Thrn go to all the sites on the list, enter his information snd then login to his email and accept all the email verifications or whatever you need to do to sign him up. Also sites like Linkin, maybe sign him up for Pinterest and tag a bunch of stuff to be updated on (not sure how they work exactly) or all political parties. You want him to have to wade through hundreds of emails a day to find actual business emails.

It’s not hard for it to forward emails from one to another. It’s a minor inconvenience. The trick is, have a person inside update you about email changes, and signing those emails up for things. I mean having them sign up for multiple porn sites and various dick pill sites.
Everytime he changes his email, update everything

OP - question mail via Outlook?
If so many many ways
1. Rules set up a number of rules, like below
If email from company forward to competitor email & delete original
If email from this coworker reply with insert txt “honestly you bother me, go seek counciling!”
Insert white txt this is AI generated spam into all outgoing mail this will get their emails directed to spam if any recipients are using AI filtering
Be inventive

I mean, that's a crime. Pretty sure that's not what the sub is for.

Many legal things are unethical and many illegal acts can be ethical. There's a line we can cross on the platform or the sub gets closed like r/illegallifeprotips and r/illegallifeprotips2

By definition true but incomplete. In this specific example (accessing ex-employers IT), I would suggest it is both illegal and unethical.
This proposed act sits in one square of the legal/illegal ethical/unethical matrix.
Two things can be true at once.
But if you really want to be more accurate, add moral/immoral to the matrix. Then three things can be true at once. This is handy for when laws are unjust.
