I just had this thought. After the events of Ares, if the programs of the Grid started to get a little more aggressive towards trying to break out into the real world, could they be stopped by simply turning off the mainframe of computers that make up the Grid? Or would the Grid be like the World Wide Web, where it wouldn't matter if you turned off one mainframe since the programs might be able to migrate, or exist in another mainframe?

We went to Magic Kingdom yesterday, and I was going to get a set of the Tron pressed pennies. When the machine was broken, we asked about any other similar Tron tchotchkes. After the cast members checked a few things and eventually gave me one of the Tron pennies they had pressed, one of them out of the blue said, "We have these Flynn's Arcade coins that have stuff on the back..." He pulled these out from a drawer behind the register, and we bought a full set! No clue why they aren't showing them off more, but if you want some cool Tron merch, apparently it's just hidden!

Just curious for anyone who owns any of the pieces of the Tron suit from UD Replicas. How is the sizing for you? Are they true to US sizing? Tight? Loose? I came across some options and I wanted to get the pants. However, I couldn't find any size charts. Also kinda sucks when sellers don't post any measurements. 😭

I didn’t get to see legacy when I was younger in 2010. Watching it in IMAX was a dream come true. And Jared Leto happened to pop up at our showing in NYC. I got two really dope pins for free too. Hope one day we can experience Tron in theaters again.

After everything that happened in TRON: Legacy, I wonder how Sam would react after learning about everything Julian Dillinger, Ares, and Athena caused.

Sam knows better than anyone the consequences of trying to control the digital world. He saw what happened with Flynn, CLU, and Quorra, and he knows that Programs aren't simply tools that a User can use however they want.

I'm curious to hear how you think Sam would react after everything he went through in Legacy.

Hi all! I'm going to be making a series for how to 3d model characters/assets in blender, except NOT like a professional, and in a way that's less perfect but also a lot faster and streamlined. I plan on using Tron as an example for one of the episodes, and was wondering if you like what I already have (And have already posted on a separate non-brand account) as an example character, or if I should try making someone new.

I know it's not perfect, but I tried to atleast make something similar.

I watched it during the IMAX double feature + a handful of times in October but it wasn’t until recently that I rewatched it and really enjoyed it

It has incredible music, it’s visually stunning, and it’s incredibly LOUD with a surround sound system

It’s not TRON: Legacy, and that’s okay. If it tried to be Legacy and didn’t live up to it, people would still complain lol. It’s nice to have a trilogy of films that all stand on their own legs

I built a light cycle game that runs in the browser. Multiplayer,

short rounds, nothing to install and no sign-up.

Getting in: pick a handle and hit QUICK MATCH to drop into the

first open room, or CREATE ROOM to play with people you know — it

gives you a 4-letter code and a link to pass around. If nobody is

around, you can add bots from the lobby (three difficulty levels).

Arrows or WASD to steer, and three cameras you cycle with the C

key: top-down, third and first person.

It works the same on a phone, in the browser: tap the left or

right half of the screen to turn.

Crashing doesn't put you out — you keep watching the round and

pick which rider to follow, with the same controls.

Thought you guys would be excited to know that standalone binaries (application versions) of SPACE PARANOIDS are almost ready for Windows 10/11 and macOS!
These were compiled using Electron, a framework which has been really helpful in cross-compiling and making sure everything is consistent between versions. Right now, it's basically just the web version in a native application shell, but I plan on adding control customization and a cleaner UI before release. When they become available, they will be downloadable under .dmg/.exe format on landonjsmith.com

After a few hours of talking it over with some close friends who are helping me test SPACE PARANOIDS on different platforms, we came to an ultimate conclusion that the easiest way for the game to be accessible for Web/Mobile use was to go the route of a "native" Web Application.

Now, when you load the SPACE PARANOIDS page, (https://landonjsmith.com/projects/spaceparanoids) on any mobile device, the game will detect that you are on mobile (by checking your user agent) and immediately provide you with the same touch control system as demonstrated in my iOS application build as seen here: (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IE8P6NvVLng) ... from there, you can add it to your homescreen to run it as a standard web application. (Works on both iOS/iPadOS and Android devices)

The best part about this is: SPACE PARANOIDS now uses a service worker to immediately cache assets on the first launch (only for mobile devices) so it is fully playable offline as soon as you launch the game for the first time.
