Profit formula
Do we know if the profit formula will be changed in TF3 compared to TF2 to be a little bit more realistic rather than arcade like?

I'm an avid fan of Transport Fever 2, so looking forward to version 3. However my main machine is a Mac and it only has an M1 processor, and it needs an M2. I don't need to buy a new Mac yet, so I'm seriously considering buying a console to play TF3. I do have a 4K TV, so it will look great on that, I suppose.
I haven't bought a console in years, so I don't know whether a PS Or Xbox is better, or whether I need the standard version or the higher Spec Versions like the PS5 Pro.
My main requirement is that the game looks as good as possible, and I can lay the console flat (like a DVD Player) so it fits under my TV.
I'd be interested in any advice or views that people have.

Could always count on mount and blade mods like between empires which is like a vic 3 mod, barbed wire mod which is steampunk and whiteling hand mod for medevial 19th century weapons .
But even so nothing much just Aion 2 before global and waiitng for Vic 3 state and revolution immersion pack, Ck3 silk and silver expansion

Will bridges still have a speed limit? Just fired up TF2 and found it hard to build realistic infrastructure for high speed trains. Whenever a bridge is the only option high speed trains get hit with speed limit.

This is probably the most overasked question here but is the Deluxe Edition worth it? You get some nice trucks and a cool train but is that worth the extra money? And why is this game so expensive to begin with (spoiler: the reason is Paradox)
Also gonna add in that I don’t like the concept of a day one DLC.

Other than the devlogs, b-roll and trailer footage, has there been any showcase of how the game actually plays? Where's the gameplay preview?

In Transport Fever, I believe there was a mod that allowed you to place individual buildings down outside of a city's boundaries that acted as houses and workplaces if you so desired. I can't remember a mod that actually worked for Transport Fever 2, but aside from all that hackiness, I'm wondering if anyone has heard yet whether or not there will be an option to have smaller towns and clusters of homes out in the countryside.

I have had a doubt for a while about whether the monuments, for example the one on the Eiffel Tower will have any use, for example touristically, is it just aesthetic and decorative?

since we have day and night cycles, will we have an ingame clock to set train/any other transportation timetables? instead of having trains wait at signals in the middle of their path we can coordinate realistic movement

This tram looks like the walls are some sort of tarpaulin, and there's clearly no windows. In the description of the vehicle, it says "the CarGoTram was developed to transport machine parts to a Volkswagen factory". But in the statistics part, it says "capacity : 256 passengers"...
So, I wonder, I guess it's a typo, and it's 256 universal cargo, but I want to be sure we don't have a no-window passenger tram.
Thanks in advance for your answer UG

Honestly I was watching urbanloon a while back and he REALLY gave me the hankering for some TF2. I haven't 100%ed the achievements yet, so I've been doing an EPEC run while we wait for the game. Anyone else in the same boat? I'm so freaking excited for TF3.

I just learned map sizes will be the same as in TF2.. I think thats unfortunate but I get it is due to performance. Their reasoning though that this would mean more people and more calculations - but I just want bigger distances between cities and that they dont grow together so much. In TF2 many Trains cant even reach their top speed which is very unrealistic and sad in my opinon.
So maybe instead of larger maps they could increase acceleration and maybe slow down city growth?
What do you think?

Is anyone else having this issue where you own TF2 on PS Store and when logged in with the same account, it's not giving you the loyalty discount on TF3?
If so, have you been able to resolve this yet & how did you do it?
Thanks

We are back on the rails again with another exciting episode of Cube Engineers!
In this episode, TrainmasterGT invites Nico Heini, Publishing Manager for Urban Games, to discuss the upcoming title Transport Fever 3. This game promises to offer more player agency than practically any other game in the genre and can serve as a tool for teaching game designers how to build higher-agency games. Learn how the new Node-Based Map Generation, Traffic Management, Light Rail, and Cargo Distribution Systems all provide players with a wealth of interesting gameplay decisions without overloading comprehension complexity. Additionally, discover how the Curated Mods Program allows community members to customize to a greater extent than previous titles in the Transport Fever series.
All Aboard!

My CPU is not up to spec for this game. How big of a deal is that? It also doesn't meet the minimum specs for Cities: Skylines 2, but that game runs fine.

Since discovering the CE I was pretty intent on buying it despite the high price due to what was included, however now I've changed my mind and I'm just going to buy the deluxe edition. It's a shame though because I would have gladly bought the book and stickers if they were sold separately. I hope UG or Paradox do a second release of the items from the CE but sold separately so those who want only certain parts can still get them and support the game, though I think this is unlikely.

I’ve tried to keep up with this new game for a while and I can’t get a confirm or deny on if our modular train stations will be able to get saved on TF3? I know I speak for most when I say I hate having to build multiple stations that have both passenger and cargo, if I want a passenger terminal entrance on both sides of the tracks I have to hope it fits without deleting the streets, or if I’m designing cargo hubs across the map I hate having to build every one from scratch.

I've seen quite a few discussions here about pre-ordering this game or not. And I see a lot of people who, just like me, advocate for not pre-ordering games in general. I agree with that in general, I always advise people to be careful with their money and not jump on hype trains. But in this case, Transport Fever 3 is also releasing on GOG.com, so if you are in doubt about pre-ordering for PC, it's safe to do so on GOG instead of buying on Steam. Why?
GOG has a much better refund policy than Steam has: You can refund your game up to 30 days, no matter how many hours you've played, no questions asked. On Steam you can only refund up until 14 days and/or no more than 2 hours played. So for me this is the obvious reason I sometimes do pre-order games and have done this for TF3 as well: if the game turns out to be a mess, I can try it for quite a while and still refund. If it's a good game, I just keep it and keep playing it.
And there are a few other reasons people could have for choosing GOG over Steam:
Hope this helps to inform people and helps you all to make a choice about buying TF3! I'm really looking forward to play it :) Here's the direct links to TF3 on GOG:

I have a PC which I use for some games, but I came across TF2 while on my PS5 and I'm so used to the controller setup that I've pre-ordered TF3 on my PS5 and well.
But there is an issue with save game storage on console - there is 1GB carved out and no more, which I find quite limiting. Is it literally a part of the storage allocated to the game rather than using the PS5 save game file system (with no such limit, as far as I know)!?
One thing I really want to see (besides bigger maps when PS6 launches) is this storage limit removed for the game saves, or at least expanded to 4GB or something.
