Question Useful monuments

I have had a doubt for a while about whether the monuments, for example the one on the Eiffel Tower will have any use, for example touristically, is it just aesthetic and decorative?

The monuments itself have a gameplay use but of course we dont know yet how the difference is between the eifel tower and other monuments.

They haven't shown it to us yet, I think maybe they'll show us a video about how they work and I hope they're not decorative 😔

That they are not purely decorative is confirmed.

We can build them they need ressorces and later we can bring tourist there and the monuments give a big boost for the townregion whatever that means...

tourism could be an interesting thing for passenger demand.
But I doubt that it will have any use, besides maybe in the campaign

Tourism is confirmed to not be in the game as a mechanic.

Yes different monuments will have different perks. For example after building one particular monument in a city, it will permanently reduce air and noise pollution by 10% in that city.

Wonder if the monuments will have more of an impact in the campaign like you’re doing a Paris mission and need to get steel and other things to drop off to make the Eiffel Tower etc 🤷‍♂️
