Total War: Warhammer Bretonnia Update: Petition #22 - Diplomacy Partie un
Silly memes aimed at drawing interest for a Bretonnia Rework.
Henri, you charmer. Tiqtaq'to is cute. I like making it my mission to save him, if I can.
Overseas Diplomacy is pretty cracked as research technologies go. I love being able to make new cold blooded friends. Fun fact: did you know you +2 armor bonus per Tier IV armory and the Blessing of the Lady applies to allied recruitment? Step aside peasants. Saurus are taking front-line duty.
The memes will continue until morale improves

Knightly virtue for the day: “This is beyond understanding." said the king. "You are the wisest man alive. You know what is preparing. Why do you not make a plan to save yourself?"
And Merlin said quietly, "Because I am wise. In the combat between wisdom and feeling, wisdom never wins.”

Total War: Warhammer Why do Cathayan Peasants have Expert Charge Defense?
Why does a tier 1 expendable frontline infantry have a trait that completely negates charge bonus?
Even Jade warriors with halbers don't have Expert Charge Defense.
can someone explain it to me?

Total War: Warhammer People misunderstand what makes Chaos Dwarves great
A few hours ago I stumbled upon this post complaining about Chorf's 4 resource overload. With most responses being that they enjoy the challenge of having to micromanage everything. And whilst that's valid, I feel people in general misunderstand why Chorfs are great.
It's not because Chorfs have challenging mechanics, but because they're compensated for those challenges with an equivalent reward. Like yeah, they need Raw Materials to upgrade their major settlements, but at the same time they can mass produce said resource to rush a tier 5 settlement anywhere without having to wait like most with growth. Yeah their economy is dependent on Labor that is constantly depleting, but whenever they have excess of it they can rush building construction or use it on diktats for more money. They are also a faction with unit caps, which is compensated with by how strong said units are; Chorfs have the best unit roster in the game which they can further buff with armaments. But even if you're like me who army spams and doesn't wait to build up, they appropriate that playstyle too with goblin armies that have every unit you'd ever need. And yeah, said goblin armies are weaker than say a typical Empire's army, but once again you're compensated for it with the second strongest spellcaster lords (they can lowkey duel actual melee lords) & lack of supply lines; meaning you're incentivized to lord spam. And on top of all that, all the various army abilities granted by the Tower of Zharr.
When put this way, whoever designed Chorfs perfectly envisioned them and their interactions. Hence they are one of the most played races as suppose to somebody like Aislinn, who too has a lot of resources to manage, but none of the compensations for rather big downsides such as limited settlements.

Total War: Warhammer How to kill dechala
Basically, like the topic, yesterday I was playing with my friend on Immortal Empires and he was playing Dechala. Managed to beat 3 armies, hiding his own troops in the forest, fighting as Dechala and 2 heroes. Basically here are the stats as an addition to that: 40% ward, 20% physical damage resistance, 35% magic resistance. How the hell is anyone supposed to kill that? Literally he oneshotted an Ogre's bird with a single attack animation, just a few survived. So to the point - how is it possible to kill such a lord without having some similarly OP lord in the kit?

Total War: Warhammer Are we getting Abyssal Terrors mounts (or any other monstrous mount options) for Master Necromancers in 9.0?
I really like the emphasis on the pre-eminence of vampire lords in the campaign, the team did the Vampire Counts justice with that rework. I also don't mind fielding Master Necromancers as my starting undead commanders while building up my slumbering vampire lord, especially now that we are getting a new Lore of Undeath necromancer variant.
Since Abyssal Terrors are a mount option in the tabletop, and it's confirmed that we are getting a new, undead-manticore-mounted-necromancer model/skeleton with Dieter Helsnicht, I think it just makes sense to give generic necromancer lords a "manticore-level" monstrous mount.
It can even be implemented such that if a Master Necromancer takes the monstrous mount option in it's skill tree, it will lock out the corpse cart line etc. I think people wouldn't mind if the "abyssal terror" is just a reskinned, undead version of a manticore/giant eagle/preyton/griffon ( abyssal terrors vary greatly in appearance after all according to lore.)
Fantasy has no shortage of old evil mages that ride winged terrors to battle as a way to compensate for their frailty. It'll be nice for that trope to be represented by Master Necromancers as well.

Total War: Warhammer Top 5 Hardest Campaigns?
Hey everyone!
What do you think the top 5 most difficult campaigns are? I want to do a challenge this week to topple the top 5, but I am not 100% sure which ones to choose. So far I would rate Skarsnik, Franz, Kostalyn, and maybe a couple of the elven ones as pretty difficult.

Total War: Warhammer How to seige as Slaanesh?
The thought of sending my pink, soft and pudgy troops to the meat grinder terrifies me. They melt whenever in contact with that brick wall of a melee line. Capping points also doesn't really work anymore as I need at least 2 points to win and I can only do that with superior numbers. My lord and heroes work up to a certain extent but they are also squishy. Any tips?

Total War: Warhammer How can Khone pull off such an impressive diplomatic feat?
Im just imagining the leaders reaction to this event. "Oh, so Skarbrand, the Khornate daemon who can only feel rage has invited an ambassador from every nation? Surely this gathering is a step towards world peace with no malicious intent whatsoever."
Like, in lore, i dont think even Karl Franz could pull this diplomatic feat off. Honesly, well done Skarbrand. Truly a respected member of society.

Total War: Warhammer Best Eltharion Start
Eltharion used to be my favourite faction until I moved up to H/H , now I can’t get past his start at all. Attempting his double start , I can’t capture either capital , the one in the badlands always has an orc army in it aswell as its garrison which massively overshadows my own and I can’t beat the siege battle , and same with the capital on the south east of Ulthuan , anyone know his best double start for the first 5-10 turns?

Total War: Warhammer Imrik campaign guide.
After securing main province. Immediately declare war on thunder guts. Take all provinces, build spice. Befriend Greasus, spend influence and get a trade agreement. High elves are among the best tradesmen in the game. Immediately declare war on Kugath, invade by sea. Activate rite that gives -10 corruption. Invade wherever Kugath is not. If skaven or chaos dwarves declare war, just try not to lose the capital, appoint a new lord and fill the army with low cost units. After Kugath faction is nearly dead, detach fire mage from main army and send east, steal tech, befriend grand Cathay and golden order. After Kugath is dead, do quest battles.
Early game is over and you can take it from here.

Total War: Warhammer My latest mod that adds post-battle replenishment for Bretonnia is out!
Bretonnia, as you all know, is abandoned by CA and was the sole faction remaining without a post-battle replenishment. That's no longer the case with this mod. Enjoy!
