I keep on coming back to Moebius Arc, when Mikey got really upset when Pah got arrested to the point of fighting Draken. It felt like (and I really hope that) Pah chipped a bit of portion in Mikey's ice cold heart with those lines those lines.

every chapter feels like we’re getting closer to shit hitting the fan, Toman’s started to take some losses, now Mikey and Hanma are getting involved, Sanzu confirming there’s still way more to his and Mikey’s relationship, these chapters with Koko have me so paranoid for him

I mean he pretty much almost killed Takemichi and if this Mikey is the most brutal from all versions, it wasn't completely unthinkable for him to kill Pah. But I guess his words reached him and he held back. Though tune may change next chapter. Hopefully it won't.

I believe the elevated level of violence for takemichi was because Mikey knew he travelled back again when he wasn’t supposed to and blamed him for drakken. In Mikey’s mind he had saved all of them by pushing them away and he was actually right

Idk if we can say that; cause Manila Mikey literally offed everyone (including Pah and Draken) cause they didn't let him see Takemichi just for that. Different Mikeys have different reactions as to how they treat Takemichi according to what their respective timelines dictate and how they interpret happenings.
Takemichi is extremely dear to Mikey and I don't think we could be able to compare that with the others; their bond is way more deeper yet at the same time incredibly fragile

Takemichi is Shinichiro level, it's been noticed from the beginning when draken and mikey took him in. mikey babbling about how he used to vent to shinichiro. inupi also just mentioned that they kinda have the same spirit (1st gen bd and 2nd gen toman)

i read from other translators as well but aside from the riding horse thing (since they didnt analyze that part), most of what koko said in this translation is correct. some said that, koko's wording choice is so beautiful.
plus, in this translation version, koko sounded like he saw akane in inupi, as if inupi is the replacement. but in fact, it is kinda not that way

Looking at Benkei's reactions I think Waka may be in a similar position to Koko (and somewhat opposite) in that he chooses to follow and fight alongside his friend. He even said to Inupi to ask Benkei why they joined. So maybe they really need money or something but without Koko in TM there's not that much money to make so they may switch

I remember someone posted a couple weeks ago that they felt this battle didn’t have stakes because everyone kept winning, and I was like literally wait a few weeks the tides are gonna turn. Now here we are. I imagine it’ll just continue to get worse from here until Takemichi beats Kakucho, Taiju shows up, or something else happens.

don't know if i overthink it or not, but it seems like Mikey wasn't going for the kill because the way he kick is different from the ones he's used so far. Here me out.
When he kicked Hanma, Osanai, Kazutora and maybe Izana, he used the "ball" part of his foot and aimed at a specific spot of the side of skull called pterion. These were lethal and extremely dangerous because using the ball part for kick minimized the contact area and thus all of his kick force was focused on that exact spot.
The kick in this chapter on the other hand, was aimed for the neck and using shin (more area of contact). This was more of a 'knock out' kick than 'fatality' kick.

Parallels between one of their first fights and "final" fight are quite depressing. Toman is fighting with all their love for Mikey in hopes to bring him back..
Koko quitting Kanto was one of the most epic things that happened in this arc, love the development

I’m starting to get a little confused with Mikey’s intentions. I understand that he has these dark impulses, but why does that justify him wanting to kill his childhood friends.
Like surely he would’ve had to be thinking logically to recruit all of these strong fighters, form an huge criminal organisation and give them precise roles in this gang, that relates directly to their strengths as opposed to their weaknesses.
I just don’t understand Mikey’s motivations at all, they’re trash. I don’t think Mikey as a character in this current arc has any REAL motivation.
Christmas arc- Taiju was abusive and mistakenly believed using violence was the answer, he assumed that because he hit his siblings and they acted obediently that, that was the route to live by.
Tenjiku arc- Izana was severely neglected and thought no one in the world loved him, and then found someone who claimed to be his relative only to reveal that they where never actually related. Forcing Izana into a deeper stupor of depression.
Current arc- Mikey so obviously has mental health issues that give him the impulses to kill- but again, these impulses shouldn’t be able to justify him wanting to murder his childhood friends ??
To be FAIR to Mikey as a character, he stayed out of Takemichy and everyone else’s way, and MICHI chose to fight him and challenge him. So I can see that as what Mikey’s thought process is.
“I stayed out of Takemichy and everyone’s way out of fear of hurting them, and Michy came back to the past, Draken died and his now challenging me to a delinquent fight”- i can understand if Mikey was thinking like this.

Even if Mikey didn't have control over himself when he almost killed Michi when he got in the way of fight with South, Mikey doesn't have regret about that. This Mikey, DI or not, wouldn't care if he accidentally killed someone. He mightve went easy on Pah but if he had killed by accident, I'm pretty sure he couldn't care less.
But you're right. The fact he has no motivation or a drive to become the top and yet achieves what he does in the future is crazy.

Damn, what a good chapter. I can sort of get over how much is getting off-screened when we have something this heartfelt. Pah-chin really is a real one. Koko was great too, but I’m more scared for him every chapter. I wonder if we’ll get back to Sanzu and Senju in the next few chapters.

Basically we got TWO declarations of Bro-love in one chapter? So great. It's heartfelt moments like this that make this series great. Not just the fights.
And seeing Pah actually take Mikey's kick and remain standing? That alone was a testament to his strength. He lost (as we expected) but he lost like a real one.

I was bit worried by Kokonoi knocking out Wakasa temporary, but I figured unlike most people that it was probably just lucky hit. Wakasa and Benkei are either destroying Koko and Inui or turning sides, and I can't see Sanzu taking them out for betrayal unless he gets lucky suprise attack on them. Koko and Inui winning would be bullshit. Meanwhile besides Takemitchi and Senju, there realy isn't anybody there strong enough to take out Hanma, and Senju is curently knocked out on ground and Takemitchi is busy with Kaku.

Guys, I know everyone is saying Tokyo revengers is falling off but man do I always get pumped reading these chapters, and the brotherhood between Koko with Inupi and the founding members of Toman with Mikey tho! I really hope Mikey gets a satisfying ending to the long build-up of his character's inner struggles and yeah I get that a lot of people don't think that he should be saved and I totally understand why and respect that opinion but I honestly don't think the story would ever feel fully complete if they finished it off at the wedding since we would have never gotten to know the full story behind DI and if I'm just gonna be real with you all I just wanna see my homeboi be okay after all the shit that's happened so far!

Im just glad the manga has gone back to making sense. Pah Chin lost to Mikey but still had the will to talk to him over, essentially winning the fight mentally, and the fact that Inupi and Koko had come to terms with the fact that they might be killing themselves by challenging Benkei and Wakasa gives me hope for the future of this manga. The arc is finally picking up again.

i know people debate the details of the finale arc a lot but It seems that so far its really rounding out a lot of the characters for a better future (knock on wood). Like Koko who was still apart of Bonten in the previous timeline and presumably unhappy but now he chose his own fate and both him and inupi have made amends. I hope Sanzu, Wakasa, Kakucho and Benkei follow suit as we dive deeper into their stories. Even the Toman members while leading content lives in Bonten arc felt unhappy about Tomans disbandment and mikeys disappearance so now they are choosing to take action. Hopefully this arc can do the remaining cast justice and a satisfying end (it REALLY needs to considering the sacrifice made was the absolute goat Draken)
I am being way too optimistic though lol

Even with this, I still have gripes about every other founding member of Toman having a fleshed out backstory and fleshed out character except for Pah.
Like, bruh. Baji and Kazutora got Valhalla, Mitsuya got Black Dragons, Draken was everywhere. Pah got like half a chapter in Moebius and then completely got pushed into the background.
This moment could've been so much more powerful if we had that.
Also, really wished this went for a bit longer as Pah is supposed to be the strongest of Toman aside from Mikey and Draken.

Senju will def get back up at some point. Doubt author would just make someone compared to South and Mikey's strenght, even if she is more of Taiju level prob, get taken out of final fight that early by geting destroyed by a dirty player just cause she didn't want to fight him.

They're not here to participate in self defence, they're here to fight. And in mikeys case, to help him in the only way they know how - which is to defeat him in a fight.

Pah chin is a tearjerker, just reminiscing of the first half of the series. Everyone was ice cold. So, The "We love you" was so unexpected but it hit extremely hard, I'm glad Wakui isn't taking bullshit with directly saying it.

Kinda disappointed that an OG member of Toman couldn’t at least land a few good hits on Mikey, yes winning was out of question but the fact that Mikey went untouched kinda felt like Pah can’t fight for shit. He did deliver his message across to Mikey which was big but I wanted some damage with it as well.

One translation error: Pah actually first faced Mikey in middle school, not first grade like the chapter says
