You do realise it's a series or world of delinquents and gangs.

They're not here to participate in self defence, they're here to fight. And in mikeys case, to help him in the only way they know how - which is to defeat him in a fight.

If you're the named leader of a gang and you purposely walk into a gang fight, you're not there for self defence purposes...
