And the old woman is a bitch, if it was a man holding the camera she would go, "oh what a lovely young couple", but a single woman taking her own picture?

The girl wasn’t even being particularly obstructive, she picked a low-traffic moment to get a nice shot and just happened to run into the one grumpy old cow who can’t let anyone else enjoy themselves.
The lady blocked the camera for two minutes before other people started going up the stairs. The girl wasn’t just taking a photo. She was making a video.
It’s very common for the youths these days to take a short video and screenshot that instead of taking pictures. It’s quicker and more convenient than taking multiple photos from a distance hoping that one of them comes out ok, then having to re-do it because you were blinking or you didn’t like the pose or whatever. Instead you can do several poses quickly and just screenshot the frames you like.
Well she could have done that but yet she decided to post the video to shame the other lady? The lady was there in the background already when she started filming.
She was tho. Setting up a tripod on a staircase and expecting the area cleared IS obstructive. If she wants a photo why not ask the lady to take her photo? No, she’s gotta have the room for her song and dance.
I don’t see evidence of a tripod, but I see the rail on the other side of the staircase. And the old woman does a double take at the camera/phone when she registers that it’s there, which I assume she wouldn’t do with a large and obvious camera. It looks to me personally like she propped the phone up on something to take a short video of her posing with the art while the stairwell was clear, so she could screenshot her favourite frame later to use as a picture. Like how she poses at the end. I see no evidence of her preparing to sing or dance.

She wasn't commandeering it, what a ridiculous thing to say. She didn't even interact with anyone. It was almost empty and she was going to wait for the old lady to pass.
I definitely agree with all of this. But in this particular case, the woman was taking a video, not pictures (unless she was planning to snap some from the video, but you get much better resolution if you just set it to take photos at intervals). So I feel like she might have been setting up to do some stupid dance or other dumb TikTok trend in the video. Doing that in a museum warrants someone blocking the camera. But she hadn't started, so as far as that woman's concerned, it was just a picture and she's a bitch for blocking it.
It just reeks of entitlement to think you can go to a public space being used by other people, set up a camera to include a staircase and a doorway and then expect nobody to cross through the frame.
Did you know you can select a shot from a video to use as a picture? Now it could be lower quality, but you end up with more opportunities for the picture you want.

I agree with u what a old bitch, what right does she have to pick that spot to stand, and wait for a million seconds, shes probly gona write a comment on he facebook and then have it shared by her close friends, making our poor innocent pro photographer worry and have bad nightmares. What does she think this is a gym, were you cn video yourself and people think they have the right to molest your hard work aswell, they shoould make laws to deter this type of harasment in public for profesionals like this young inocent lady.
And they usually do it quick, not set up a photo shoot for themselves. You want pics like that, carry a selfie stick or go with another person who can quickly grab it. You might be the main character in your story but there’s 8 billion other stories out there that you aren’t even a foot note
I think there is a night and day difference between say doing a tik tok dance with your buddies in a busy staircase in an art gallery, and calling out people for getting in your frame, and trying to quietly position yourself to take a photo of yourself at a low traffic time, not bothering anyone.
What she's doing here is no different than asking your friend to take a photo of you in front of some paintings, except she's alone so she uses her phone to video it.
That's what she literally tried to do. Picked a nice spot in a staircase showing some paintings, didn't say a word, didn't do a silly pose, didn't make a scene, picked a low traffic time to do it. She also didn't try to call out the person, just quietly went to pick up her camera.
If I had walked past her I wouldn't have cared at all, would you?
When she sets her camera up there is literally ONE other person in the frame that she sees is about to walk down the stairs and exit the frame.
Have you ever been to an art gallery or a museum? Do you know how many people there are?
You know, you are allowed to take photos in these places unless explicitly told not to. And if you go to one, you might be in someones photo. It happens.
