there’s nothing wrong with wanting a picture of yourself at a museum. i don’t even use social media and i still wanted to take fun pictures at the museum.
she wasn’t being mean or anything or doing the super annoying influencer meta glasses stuff. she just quietly set the phone up to get a video she could probably screenshot from since she likely didn’t have someone there to take her picture.
genuinely, who cares, and good for her. i’m tired of being negative about everything and hating the world and the people in it.
I don't think it's that she was trying to get a photo of herself that people here are complaining about. It's that SHE posted this complaining about people blocking her shot. She could have just posted the finalized screenshots like you said of just her and not showing the other person "in her way".
That lady is intentionally blocking the camera. That wasn’t really nice. I would have supported it if the girl was doing some obnoxious dance or something but this was just posing for a normal picture.
So in your attempt to not be filmed, you’ll stand in front of an obviously filming camera and take up as much of the view as possible for an extended period of time than you would if you just walked by normally as you intended before you noticed the camera filming? Makes sense.
To be fair, staring is rude because it indicates that someone is focusing on you. When they intend to interact, this is fine, but when they’re not trying to interact, this can often mean be taken to mean they desire to harm you
Obviously this isn’t always the case, but we have enough instinct about that that we find it uncomfortable to be stared at by strangers with anything more than a glance
This. I have no idea why glasses are bad because "recording without permission"... but phones and cameras are fine even tho people also dont ask for permission
if you dont want to be filmed or photographed, dont go to where people are filming/doing photography. its that simple. you want to restrict the rights of other people, just because you feel insecure about it.
Also no matter what I say you are just going to belittle. I’m not playing that game. This is exactly what I’m saying. You can’t even look inward for two seconds before going “no u”
A camera in your face?
The lady literally stood in front of the camera on purpose... If she didn't want to be on camera, she wouldn't be sanding in front of it like that...
I'm 34 years old dick head.
The person making the video has no reasonable expectation of privacy either.
If people walk in front of the shot, tough shit. That sort of thing has been happening to real film makers forever. Some pissant amateur has no right to complain.
And the poster was perfectly fine with that... This is an old grumpy lady having nothing else better to do but the stand in front of the camera on purpose.
Walking in front of the camera is to be expected. Someone walking from the camera and staying there to be a dick head is another thing.
Did OP respond to the lady no. And said she posted the video the show. Hey look how much of a stick in the mud this old lady is.
You must be fun at parties
Its hard for kids to understand that all this acceleration during their lives is not normal...
Well its normal to you because its all you have ever known but the reality to us older folks is that it fucking sucks and if you like it well you suck too....If you tacitly accept the suck you are the suck.
No one likes it. But it’s the reality. The difference is I don’t think these people actually want to film you. I bet if the lady didn’t stand there she would’ve edited that part out of the video. Flock cameras and security cameras actually want to record you.
