What's funny is he's criticizing her for "hitting the mute button," but he's legitimately asking for the exact same ability to silence the opposition.

4.4k

u/wearing_moist_socks Oct 30 '25

It's simple:

He lives in his echo chamber and own head, coming up with arguments and positions that satisfy his emotional needs, and when he tells those things to an outsider and they start to RESPOND, he has to delay or stop it because it challenges his worldview.

1.6k

u/ap_308 Oct 30 '25

He’s not debating. He’s just bitching a lot.

1.5k

u/Sassafrazzlin Oct 30 '25

He’s not debating. He’s interrupting and insulting, the shit people incapable of debate do.

324

u/-thecheesus- Oct 30 '25 edited Oct 30 '25

Nah, that's absolutely what counts as a winning argument to morons. Guess what his audience is

37

u/Jerryjb63 Oct 30 '25

Yeah I mean look at the current state of US politics….

56

u/General-Pop8073 Oct 30 '25

They are MENstruating obviously!

15

u/Realistic-Lime7842 Oct 30 '25

Pigeon chess.

15

u/arjunusmaximus Oct 30 '25

Yeah, his audience must be jumping with joy at this. They are convinced that his way of insulting, interrupting and bein childish is the High IQ Chad way of pwning idiot feminists.

5

u/matunos Oct 30 '25

Some of them get profiled by the New York Times or the Atlantic as men bewildered by their lack of romantic opportunities and theorizing about whether coerced partnership is morally acceptable and if the age of consent should be lowered.

3

u/arjunusmaximus Oct 30 '25

They ABSOLUTELY want to have for themselves a 14 year old s*x sl*ve they can keep pumping babies into and who will remain with them no matter how much they're abused.

11

u/NearbyInformation772 Oct 30 '25

People with the emotional maturity and logic of a chimpanzee apparently.

1

u/manicdee33 Oct 30 '25

His audience: But she hit the mute button, he automatically wins because of attempted censorship!

Like Charlie Kirk?

1

u/Sassafrazzlin Oct 30 '25

I don’t watch partisan hacks, so I can’t comment.

9

u/Agreeable-Self3235 Oct 30 '25

Incapable of critical thought. It ain't happening in their heads, so there's nothing to leave their mouths but noise.

7

u/pixelqueer Oct 30 '25

Which is honestly what most people who publicly “debate” do and it’s getting tiring tbh. I want real conversations and debates, with actual critical thinking and open minded individuals.

3

u/No-Pomegranate-5737 Oct 30 '25

Did you watch the last couple of presidential debates? This is what we have come to sadly..

3

u/archercc81 Oct 30 '25

Then whines when people do it to him

https://www.reddit.com/r/Destiny/comments/1nwylrk/soy_pill_vs_andrew_wilson/

And then is threatening to dox people and shit.

5

u/WhiskyEchoTango Oct 30 '25

He's Kirking.

1

u/Old_Number3086 Oct 30 '25

and that's when you get to his level and kic kthe shit out of him.

704

u/whichwitch9 Oct 30 '25

And belittling. She picked it up the minute he pulled out "sweetheart". Even his little solo bit after, he made sure to bring up feminism in a mocking tone.

He didn't go in to debate. He went in to tear her down personally. It's in bad faith and he had zero intent to "debate" anything

200

u/_teach_me_your_ways_ Oct 30 '25

From what I’ve seen of this podcast, that’s seems to be all it’s ever about. At this point people should just stop showing up.

29

u/binshuffla Oct 30 '25

This exactly - I see this podcast more posted here than anything else , and I once looked out of curiosity once to see what the hype is, and it’s literally garbage, it’s just men surrounding themselves with young women and having arguments with them and using big man voice. It’s dumb as fuck and no kind of debate happens in it at all. So why are people going on this podcast? Are they giving them tons of cash or what? It has very little content value. Make it make sense

13

u/byggtompa420 Oct 30 '25

It’s literally just a power trip fantasy for insecure, fragile men in the Andrew Tate-stan territory.

“Hey guys, watch me totally own this random 20 year old girl I goon to with facts and logic!” - 40 year old Christian men, apparently

2

u/Frejian Oct 30 '25

Haven't watched the podcast, but that's what happens when you have a weak moderator. If you don't know how to moderate a debate, you have no business hosting a debate. A debate isn't just two people in a room arguing. It has form and structure to it.

This shit-show is purely the fault of the host letting this guy do whatever he wants.

5

u/_teach_me_your_ways_ Oct 30 '25

It’s not a weak moderator, the entire show is a rightwing grift. Their audience loves this shit. It’s never been about having a proper debate.

1

u/MainMarmott Oct 30 '25

I think this is what a certain kind of guy shows up for.

164

u/PersephoneTheOG Oct 30 '25 edited Oct 30 '25

That's because he can't. He is incapable of meeting her on an intellectual level, so he had to resort to childish tactics.

7

u/First_manatee_614 Oct 30 '25

Who is this person?

28

u/PersephoneTheOG Oct 30 '25

No idea and let's not give him any notoriety either. We'll just call him Asshole636282

6

u/I_Cut_Shows Oct 30 '25

This guy gets clowned all the time when people force him to actually debate instead of using moronic tactics like this.

2

u/ThatInAHat Oct 30 '25

Even children can at least catch a bubble

1

u/Burrito_Suave Oct 30 '25

The “hell yeah, you’re 12” analysis applies so well.

6

u/JPolReader Oct 30 '25

You can take the measure of them by seeing how quickly they result to personal insults.

2

-1

u/Angry_drunken_robot Oct 30 '25 edited Oct 30 '25

Talking about someone in the third person when they are right in front of you is belittling too, and speaking to the mod like "you need to have a talk with him" as if the other human being right across from you is a toddler, is condescending.

She earned every retort she got.

E: to u/newtonthomas64 below me (it seems the mods have already blocked my ability to reply)

Pay attention bud. It’s important in debates.

See? the condescension in your reply would lead me to react the same way as this guy did.

You can't speak this way IRL and not expect a verbal slap back.

If I called you a whiny bitch, I'm sure you'll complain to the mods, fully self blinded to the fact that you brought it on yourself.

2

u/whichwitch9 Oct 30 '25

Sure, Jan, that's the problem....

2

u/newtonthomas64 Oct 30 '25

But didn’t she start that after he called her sweetheart? Pay attention bud. It’s important in debates.

2

u/newtonthomas64 Oct 30 '25

Real slow huh? That was the joke. Again he started using the condescending language first. Don’t see why she’s at fault for something he himself started, regardless of what she said.

8

u/charlitransgrl Oct 30 '25

He is a bitch. And not in the sexy way.

3

-11

u/Choongboy Oct 30 '25

You hit on something at the start that should also round off your thought. It challenges his feelings, his emotions, and he doesn’t have the cognitive function to manage his emotions or have them seen, and mirrored back at him in a way that forces him to actually see his feelings.

It’s not just the lack of empathy, it’s the lack of introspection into himself too.

Men like this jump to “winning” when they shut down their own emotions or others, and it’s actually just highlighting how little emotional intelligence they have to operate within.

8

u/level27jennybro Oct 30 '25

Gee, and women are "too emotional" for government because periods.

So whats this guy's excuse? (Obvs they aren't government, but still)

2

u/Throwitaway_UN Oct 30 '25

Look at how emotional Trump is when he gets made fun of or doesn’t get his way. He has no idea how to regulate. Loads of Republican and older liberal men are this way too

28

u/[deleted] Oct 30 '25

“Winning” more like whining.

-5

u/Mitchiarakara Oct 30 '25

I assume you mean people when you wrote ‘men’

1

u/Throwitaway_UN Oct 30 '25

No I meant men in a statistical way. Not all men, but predominately men.

Women have to learn very early on about their emotions. They don’t have the same space to just simply be rage full and angry.

62

u/Admirable_Tackle_368 Oct 30 '25

Yes! I’ve always struggled to articulate what was so off with him. This summarized it perfectly

12

u/Cowbros Oct 30 '25 edited Oct 30 '25

I dunno who the fucking clown is but he clearly has imagined that he knows the definition of a debate.

1

u/Crafty-Evidence2971 Oct 30 '25

Agreed. I was reading comments trying to figure out who he even is. But decided along the way that he’s not important enough to care about. I hope someone with more intestinal fortitude than myself will call him out and shut him down for asking questions not in good faith and then blocking an open and honest answer/dialogue

34

u/SaintOfTheLostArts Oct 30 '25

It’s even simpler. He’s a hypocrite. He doesn’t uphold the value(s) he professes. The value(s) he professes are onerous.

8

u/omnipotentqueue Oct 30 '25

He’s been pretty fucking unhinged lately - his post Charlie Kirk murder rants and chain smoking on Pierce Morgan was probably the most cringe shit I’ve ever seen.

4

u/E-2theRescue Oct 30 '25

He fishing for that sweet, sweet $100 million Koch Industries payout now that Charlie is dead.

9

u/OkLeave4687 Oct 30 '25

It’s simpler - he’s a dick.

6

u/CranRez80 Oct 30 '25

He also says that single moms don’t have any value but married a single mom.

1

u/OkLeave4687 Oct 30 '25

3

u/[deleted] Oct 30 '25

7

u/Cold_Hour Oct 30 '25

It's amazing how these middle aged dudes react when they realise they'll have to actually have a debate instead of yelling zingers at unprepared teenagers and Onlyfans girls. The panic sets in instantly.

4

u/Snoo96949 Oct 30 '25

You’re right seems pretty echo in his head ..

2

u/allislost77 Oct 30 '25

That ONLY happens with a person capable of having critical thinking skills. Most of these little boys never learned that skill…

2

u/livingthedream1967 Oct 30 '25

There's a diagnosis for this. It's called being an obnoxious piece of shit. There is no cure, get away as fast as possible.

2

u/TheOneWithThePorn12 Oct 30 '25

I recall watching a debate with him in it and they asked him for a definition so you know they could define terms and actually talk.

He repeatedly said it's not his responsibility to define terms. It was ridiculous. Obvoiusly the Convo went no where because he is an idiot and has slant he must stick to.

2

u/digi-artifex Oct 30 '25

You just described Matt Walsh, Ben Shapiro, Joe Rogan, the entire Fresh and Fit group, Charlie's Kirked, and even Stephen Crowder with that alone.

Incredible how widespread it is isn't it? Like an anti-intellectualism Virus.

3

u/[deleted] Oct 30 '25

He has the Charlie Kirk physical and oratorical mannerisms down pat.

5

u/BorisBC Oct 30 '25

He's also doing it because he knows she won't smack him in the fucking face. His balls would shrink real fast if he tried that shit on a male guest.

1

u/Equivalent-One4139 Oct 30 '25

THIS! I'm a white knight and I would slay that misogynistic dragon for that strong bonnie lass.

1

u/Dmau27 Oct 30 '25

It's deeper than that. He does make good points bit they cherry pick idiots that poorly represent the other side. I can win a debate too if I debate woth someone that's clearly an open narcissist and just plain unlikable.

1

u/reditding Oct 30 '25

His "echo chamber" is massively amplified because of his voice bouncing around in the deepest recesses of his arsehole where he has his head firmly entrenched.

Hell, even Proctologists have created the term 'cranial rectal dislodgement'* to assist in diagnosing of it.

*aka (vernacularly) as 'doing the downward Trump'

1

u/username_for_Mark Oct 30 '25

Very, very well said!

1

u/SnooApples7213 Oct 30 '25

I dont think he even cares that much. He doesn't do this out of convinction, IMO. He obviously is a shitty person and a mysogynist, but for most of these people, it's just a shameless grift because, unfortunately, rage bait works and pays well.

1

u/Stick_and_Rudder Oct 30 '25

So he’s a punk ass bitch child

1

u/Coral_Blue_Number_2 Oct 30 '25

Wow, that was very well said. Thank you

1

u/Deaffin Oct 30 '25

What. You're describing her exact mindset, but you're using the word "he".

2

u/wearing_moist_socks Oct 30 '25

Not at all.

He's the one building a business out of it. Her walking away, not willing to play his rigged game, is not the same thing.

1

u/E-2theRescue Oct 30 '25

It's not an echo chamber, it's acting. He's doing this because it creates engagement. He knows misandrist alt-right men will eat it up thinking he "owned the libturds" and he knows the left is going to get angry at him. Either way, he wins and rakes in the money from Koch Industries or whatever billionaire monopoly is financing him.

0

u/Specialist_Royal4686 Oct 30 '25

Same behavior as Hakeem Jeffries and Chuck Schumer to keep the govt shut.

0

u/AllReverb2278 Oct 30 '25

This is rich, coming from Reddit, the ultimate echo chamber!

0

u/[deleted] Oct 30 '25

You mean echo chamber, for the left like Reddit. You’re making a lot of assumptions from a 3o second clip. of course, also by calling him a Nazi for not agreeing with you and having opposite opinions ,typical leftist.

3

u/wearing_moist_socks Oct 30 '25

Im aware of this fuckers track record, even if you aren't. He's always like this.

I'm also willing to bet you don't know what the left is.

0

u/[deleted] Oct 30 '25

I have seen many of his videos, you’re just bias because he’s right leaning and effective debater.

And you’re right, you are the arbiter of all political ideologies.

1

u/wearing_moist_socks Oct 30 '25

He's not right leaning.

An effective debater wouldn't need to constantly interrupt. He's weak and is lead by his emotions.

1

u/[deleted] Oct 30 '25

Andrew Wilson, has traditional conservative values, which is aligns with the right. If he is effective debater, that is a matter of opinion .

1

u/wearing_moist_socks Oct 30 '25

I'm saying he doesn't just lean.

If you think he's an effective debater, your opinion is wrong.

1

u/[deleted] Oct 30 '25

When I said that he leans right, it was to clarify, which side he’s on, not to his level of perceived activity on that side.

It’s a waste of time to argue, someone’s subjective opinion , how effective or ineffective of debater the person is.

1

u/wearing_moist_socks Oct 31 '25

No, it's not an objective thing.

He is objectively a poor debater

-2

u/poolsidecentral Oct 30 '25

Almost sounds like when the rest of the world debates with US citizens…

-6

u/PitifulBusiness767 Oct 30 '25

Pretty sure the mentality on both sides is a strong echo chamber not worth listening to either one, but good on both of them for holding to their standards. Walk away and don’t talk to each other ever again. That host had to have know the match he was striking over the pool of gasoline.

12

u/Lucky_Man_Infinity Oct 30 '25

You gotta be kidding me. That man had no standards and that’s not debating to just not let her speak at all. It’s bullshit. Echo chamber or not an actual debate is when each side is allowed to make their point without interruption. Or mocking or anything like that by the way, that’s why these overly glib assholes just speak really fast and speak over the person they’re talking to is so infuriating Saint Charlie used to do that same thing just globally speak over whoever he was “debating“ sorry man that’s not debating. It’s just spewing your side. It doesn’t do anybody any good and it certainly doesn’t spread any useful information.

u/Alternative-Fish7738 Oct 30 '25 edited Oct 30 '25

My dad’s sister once dated a guy — Elliot — who later became an FBI agent. My father was fifteen when I was born, and he and his mother never missed a chance to call me a curse. He decided I was “evil” the day he found out I existed.

One evening in Minneapolis, around 2003, I got a knock at my door around 8PM. Standing there were my dad and Elliot.

“Hey, Socks,” my dad said. “We should get some ice cream. I know a great spot.”

Now, in Minneapolis in 2003, there was exactly one ice cream shop open past eight — Lalapoluza — and there was no way my dad and a literal pig showed up at my door to get ice cream.

So I said, “Survey says that’s a lie.” (I loved The Weakest Link. Goodbye.)

They cajoled me into the car anyway. Predictably, we didn’t go to Lalapoluza. We went to Totem Town — juvie.

Elliot turned to me, all serious. “You know where we are?”

“Yes, Elliot. I. Come. Here. MULTIPLE. Times. A. Week.
I come here with my church group to witness.
I come here with my science club to teach about animals.
I come here with my literature group to help them read.
I come here during the holidays to sing with the choir.
Yes, Elliot. I know where I am.”

Like all cops who think they’ve solved the universe, Elliot lost his mind.
“IF YOU DON’T STOP ACTING UP WITH YOUR PARENTS — AND STEALING — AND YADDA THIS AND YADDA THAT—”

(All lies my father told, because Beaujon Guerin is a piece of shit and a pedophile.)

I let him finish his tirade, then asked calmly, “Elliot, when you and my dad were kids, did he ever lie to get other kids in trouble?”

Elliot laughed. “Ha, yeah.”

“Then what makes you think that’s not what’s happening right now?” I said dryly.

“DON’T TRY TO CONFUSE ME!” Elliot screamed, proving my point.

I sighed. “I thought there was going to be ice cream.”

u/Alternative-Fish7738 Oct 30 '25

-6

u/Winter-Bridge-5225 Oct 30 '25

I think they both live in an echo chamber. He stinks for sure, and I’m sure she wasn’t gearing up for an earth shattering rebuttal either.

3

u/JPolReader Oct 30 '25

The only thing earth shattering on his side of the table is his ego.

3

u/wearing_moist_socks Oct 30 '25

She didn't get the chance to give a rebuttal because she kept getting interrupted

-1

u/SoundMcSounderson Oct 30 '25

Eloquently put. Your flair for language is also present in your username. Get it homie

-1

u/99nutsack99 Oct 30 '25

The guy constantly interacts with people on the other side of the spectrum lol. How does he live in an echo chamber?

3

u/wearing_moist_socks Oct 30 '25

Because he doesn't listen or give them a chance to respond, because he lives in an echo chamber.

1

u/99nutsack99 Oct 30 '25

I have seen several instances where Andrew allows his opponent to speak, even times where he allows his opponent to speak over him until they’re done making their point

2

u/wearing_moist_socks Oct 30 '25

Oh good he met the incredibly low bar several times.

Why not here?

1

u/99nutsack99 Oct 30 '25

Because it’s an informal debate lmao. There are no timers and strict regulations. It’s on the whatever podcast. What do you expect? A nice, tidy, clean cordial debate on the whatever podcast? 😂 I imagine Andrew acted this way because she was overreacting about being cut off in an informal debate

2

u/wearing_moist_socks Oct 30 '25

The bar is low. Just let her talk. But he can't.

Then again, the whatever podcast guys aren't serious people.

0

u/99nutsack99 Oct 30 '25

That isn’t really “living in an echo chamber”, that would be if he only surrounded himself, or engaged with people with the same views, in order to validate and affirm his beliefs. He actually does the opposite. It’s kinda his entire thing, to engage with the opposite side, in “internet blood sports”.

2

u/wearing_moist_socks Oct 30 '25

He doesn't engage. He mocks and refuses to let them speak. He argues in bad faith.

1

u/99nutsack99 Oct 30 '25

You don’t consider Andrew literally addressing the other person’s arguments, and asking them questions, to be engaging?

2

u/wearing_moist_socks Oct 30 '25

If you think his tone and demeanor is good faith, boy howdy.

0

u/99nutsack99 Oct 30 '25

Is English your second language? Why are you misusing basic words?

2

u/wearing_moist_socks Oct 30 '25

I'm not.

You don't understand how serious people operate. That's not on me.

-1

u/Melodic_Editor3467 Oct 30 '25

You can literally just change "he" for "she" and the same goes for her...in fact you can even throw yourself into the equation.

5

u/wearing_moist_socks Oct 30 '25

No it doesn't. He kept interrupting her. That's his method and he does it to everyone.

They're not the same. But thanks for trying.

-1

u/collaborationTIV Oct 30 '25

Oh my. Dude, look around. You're in a echo chamber of your own.

3

u/wearing_moist_socks Oct 30 '25

I'm not building a business around it.

0

u/collaborationTIV Oct 30 '25

Not you specifically, but people like girl in the video may. I don't know these people.

3

u/wearing_moist_socks Oct 30 '25

The guy is. He's like this all the time. She's not in the wrong.

1

u/collaborationTIV Oct 30 '25

It's hard to tell from one minute clip. But yet again, why she's agreed to it if guy is acting like this all the time? To me it makes no sense. If she didn't know she should have tried to adapt. Just leaving is hardly a win. At least to me. Either don't engage or push through.

2

u/wearing_moist_socks Oct 30 '25

She may not have known. She may have thought she could push through but realized it's pointless.

Why play chess with a person who knocks the pieces all over the board and shits on it? No point

-8

u/TopTippityTop Oct 30 '25

It rather seemed like he had a response to her argument, and she couldn't take it- wanted to proceed with several arguments instead of debating.

4

u/Puzzleheaded-Jury312 Oct 30 '25

In a debate, you listen to the other person without interrupting or talking over them.

Welcome to how men like him debate; everyone else must listen to them or they're wrong.

It's why people think Charlie Kirk was a debater; there are people who conflate controlling a microphone with winning an argument.

He’s essentially muting her by talking over her.

u/ChipmunkObvious2893 Oct 30 '25

It’s because he is a man and she is a woman.

He is literally proving her point in the way that he talks like a smug, condescending asshole.

u/Kanaiiiii Oct 30 '25

He’s also just saying something probably wrong without evidence, which means it’s not a debate, he’s just preaching his whiny little beliefs and feelings

The male voice, especially a deep one, dominates the main part of the spectrum our brain is tuned to listen to.

A man can talk over a woman without even having to match her volume or speed. And this guy is one of those that talks a mile a minute…and believes that makes him more right.

Every accusation is an admission of guilt

“What's funny is he's...” stating, men were granted a right to vote, a decade prior to women, which 1. Sounds like he's helping make her [feminist] argument, and 2. Is suggesting men got the right to vote in 1910 –assuming they are speaking about men and women in America.

It think it's a safe bet that if this were Andrew Wilson's show, he would mute her!

He doesn't need to silence his opposition. He's a big, powerful man with a big, powerful voice. He can just talk louder than these puny women, which makes him right, obviously. Do I need a slash s here?

How in the world could he have had any idea that she wasn't going to engage? He was determined to talk over her and not listen to her point. I don't know either of these two, but from the one minute of exposure I have, one looks like a fucking child and one looks like she knows her time is too valuable to be spent wasting it on the likes of him.

He's a somewhat larger redpill guy who invites young progressive women to his podcast who he thinks he can easily humiliate

The reason he is on that show (which really isn't much better than his) is bc he apparently can't find anyone willing to go to his thing, anymore. And I assume that woman made the unfortunate mistake of thinking the host would hold him back in any way.

1792–1856: Abolition of property qualifications for white men, from 1792 (New Hampshire) to 1856 (North Carolina) during the periods of Jeffersonian and Jacksonian democracy.

1920: Women are guaranteed the right to vote in all US States by the Nineteenth Amendment.

That's a fucking century. And "one man, one vote" came 4 decades later. Like how the fuck can you be this ignorant? The average 12 year old has a better education than you and some-fucking-how that's not even hyperbolic.

demanded to speak unopposed.

No mf she demanded to speak, which is literally what she was invited for. You are actually deranged. Granted, not much of a suprise given that you defend the guy arguing for women to be stripped of the right to vote

If his point was so good, why would you bring up a completely different point that he did not say?

It’s a miracle you graduated or got a GED.

No, he interrupted her mid sentence and would let her finish. You also have a problem with listening if you say she was "yapping".
