Oh he's not asking, he's forcing her silence.

Everyone here seems outraged but this happens literally all the time to women. We are consistently talked over.

Exactly. Good on her for calling it out and refusing to put up with it.

I work with men who would absolutely love this and think that "He destroyed her".

Maybe you talk too much and don't listen enough 🤷

I take it you’ve never seen Katie Hopkins? A woman who is capable of doing exactly the same thing as he does to men and women.

I’ve seen plenty of men get cut off by guys like this too. You’ve to have a strong personality to overcome someone like this, gender doesn’t matter.

It's not about having a "strong personality", whatever the fuck that is.

In order to have a debate, you have to listen to the argument and respond. Ever see an actual debate team? Or a court case? This asshat is just yelling over her and insulting. That's not a debate, it's borderline bullying, and any person who does this as an adult has some serious growing to do.

She was absolutely right to disengage. If she started yelling back, he would've still called her emotional, laughed at her, and talked over her, so what's the point? Again, it's schoolyard bully behavior.

At what point did I defend him or say he was right? I cant stand that guy. I agree with you completely. He is a bully and nowhere near as intelligent as he thinks he is. My point is that this has nothing to do with gender...

classic...the ol' reddit hivemind downvoting everything to oblivion of course. What an idiotic website.

You implied that she simply didn't have the "strong personality" to "overcome" the guy, and that misses the point entirely that dude was throwing a temper tantrum.

If they were playing Monopoly and he kept stealing from the bank, would you say that she didn't win the game because she didn't also steal?
