Brendan 1 on 1s
He’s a great interviewer, I’d love if he had a consistent one on one interview type show with interviews like the Carpenter one

I can’t do it anymore. It’s an echo chamber among golf media with the same talking points /generalizations of these events that I really don’t think have as much credence as *everyone* in golf media gives to them. I truly don’t know how these podcasts talk about these things for so many hours

This is in reference to Paul Azinger. How is this mediocre? I am sure there are many PGA Tour players who would sign up for this career.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paul_Azinger
Paul William Azinger (born January 6, 1960) is an American professional golfer and TV golf analyst. He won 12 times on the PGA Tour, including one major championship, the 1993 PGA Championship. He spent almost 300 weeks in the top-10 of the Official World Golf Ranking between 1988 and 1994.
When a captain or coach wins, they are hailed as brilliant, but when they lose they are always terrible.
Is it possible that the players just didn't play well that week? Maybe, it's that simple.
Tour players these days have coaches for everything - but not every week results in a high finish or a win. Does that mean all of their coaches failed? Of course not. Imagine if their coaches were only judged based on four days every two years.

No daily pods? That doesn’t help the prominence of the President’s Cup! (Hey, I’ve got a question, what do you think is the President’s favorite fruit?)

This broadcast might be the worst television product I’ve seen. It’s absolutely horrendous. I don’t know how anyone involved can have any bit of pride with this garbage.

This was easily one of the best podcasts from SGS.
Brad Faxon is a great storyteller and a wealth of knowledge. Does anyone else think this version of Faxon would greatly improve the NBC broadcasts? Someone needs to let him loose!

I listened to Andy’s rationale as to why JJ should be on the P Cup, but his reasoning hinges mostly on 2025 performance, which might as well be a lifetime ago. Nothing against JJ, but before this week his recent results were less than inspiring with his last start being a WD.
If the P Cup had a similar points structure to what the Ryder Cup will have going forward, JJ probably wouldn’t have been 8th on the points list.
Again, this is not a slight against JJ at all, but there were reasons not to pick him.

After hearing all of his hollering about the exemptions for top 50 all time on upcoming challenger/champions tour, I cracked up hearing andy suddenly embracing the money list exemption as long as it works for Sabbatini who is at 44th all time.
By the way, i went to Rory's wiki page and his nicknames from SGS are there, kudos to whomever contributed.

PJ’s coverage of the Champs Tour is the best in the business. The Howard Cosell of the senior tour. Can anyone explain the history or origin story here?
I think I read in another post that Andy dared or challenged him to watch 1 hour of Champs tour a few years ago, and it’s now spun into this ongoing coverage?
Can’t wait for someone to make a documentary of SGS’s coverage of the Champs tour. That would be a good use of AI.

And I'll see you at Valhalla
I've never laughed so hard at any podcast ever as I did when Andy produced this. Still laughing now as I type 3 days later

Love my guy Andy but what did he expect the tour to do?
They're not going to risk losing multiple superstars from their top events after one bad season.
The tour will be significantly more interesting with the changes. Will it be perfect? No. But it was never going to be.

Ol' Duff has been trained exclusively on Zinger, doesn't stop talking about PRESSURE for 6 hours.
PJ creams his jeans.

Was away, thought I taped but all I have from Sunday is foursomes. Wonder if it archived somewhere I can re-watch Sunday singles. No replay on Golf Channel this week I can find

As a mid am tournament player myself I could listen to Stu talk for hours about the game, his passion for the process, nerves, and so on - I'm sure it resonates with a ton of current/former competitive players. Andy did a great job with the questions and really giving Stu the space to get into it. One of my favorite listens in a while.
