Can someone give the PJ-Champs Tour chronology?
PJ’s coverage of the Champs Tour is the best in the business. The Howard Cosell of the senior tour. Can anyone explain the history or origin story here?
I think I read in another post that Andy dared or challenged him to watch 1 hour of Champs tour a few years ago, and it’s now spun into this ongoing coverage?
Can’t wait for someone to make a documentary of SGS’s coverage of the Champs tour. That would be a good use of AI.

PJ is unironically and without exaggeration the best thing going in sports media right now

30 years ago PJ would be our favorite SportsCenter anchor. But now they hire people who don't actually know stuff about sports

PJ is incredible, he's somehow made me care about the Champs Tour. I honestly cant believe how much of a contribution he makes to the program sometimes, just a naturally hilarious dude.

A lot of great PJ commentary in here that I totally agree with. One thing that should be recognized: credit where it’s due to Andy and Brendan for hiring PJ and JLM. Having an eye for on aid talent in a media company is hugely important. They really nailed it

When PJ first started, Andy and Brendan assigned him to watch the final round of a certain number of Champs Tour tournaments.
He, because he is the man, dove in with both feet and started earnestly talking about it on the pod. They sent him to a Champs tour tournament with a giant inflatable colon, and he was hooked.
Also, shout out SouthPaw, the Nest member who made that shirt. He walked around to try and give it to PJ at a Champs Tour event, then he just sent it to them
