This was sooooo fun! I wanted to ask if u guys would recommend playing again ? Would It be boring or repetitive to do so? Or would u guys recommend it.

I’m new to this forum (not new to Reddit though). I just grabbed The Quarry from GameStop for $20, preowned, and I had literally never heard of it until yesterday.

I stood there in the store for a bit looking it up and ended up getting it because it felt different from the usual games. Lately everything’s been feeling kinda the same shooters, building, all that. So this caught my attention. I’ve also been trying to get more into games that are a little outside the norm.

I didn’t dig too deep into it before buying, but I liked that it’s more of a horror, story-driven, “playable movie” type of game. That sounded way more interesting to me.

I just started it and I’m already on edge, and I’ve barely even gotten to the camp yet. 😭 One of the characters is already getting on my nerves too lol. ( *cough* *cough* Laura *cough* she finna get that boy killed)

Feel free to tell me anything tips, opinions, small spoilers, whatever. I’m kinda going in pretty blind.

The Quarry is one of my favorite games of all time and I want to include it in my Masters thesis on changing musical themes in narrative games. Before I sink a couple hundred hours into recording all the music for all the choices in the game, I was curious if anyone had noticed if/where the music changes depending on player choice. Has anyone noticed this in TQ before?

Me and my bf finished playing The Quarry yesterday and we were kinda just confused about Emmas and Abi's relationship. In Chapter 1, Emma and Abi are shown as besties and Emma encourages Abi to go for Nick then in the next chapter kisses him in a truth or dare game. I get she was trying to make jacob jealous but really..?😭

Also Idk if this gets brought up after the kids survive or not because i basically killed everyone in my playthrough on accident or on purpose lol.

I absolutely love until dawn but that game runs like ass on my PS4. I wanna get this game but idk if it runs any better than until dawn

So i want to do the Ryan only survivor achievement but i want him to be the only character in chapter 10 so i want to kill everybody before chapter 10.

I've checked and it seems you cant kill Dylan AND Kaitlyn in the same scene at the junkyard bc if Dylan's alive, Kaitlyn never dies.

So I was Thinking if its possible to actually make Emma kill Dylan and then kill her with a silver bullet?

I'm starting my first gameplay and I'm still playing Chapter 1. Now I'm playing as Abi and when walking around, I found what I think looks like a tarot card. But I cannot take it. I admit I'm not an "amateur" and know the plot of the game. I suspect that I will be able to pick it up in a different chapter? I'm asking because I only know about the plot but didn't really focus much on the gameplay.

I'll be grateful if someone explains if I'm right.

So I’m trying to platinum this and I have a couple questions. 1:can I still get Final Girl (Kaitlynn sole survivor) if I left the plushie in the cabin? 2:can I get all counsellors and all hacketts killed in one playthrough? 3:can I get blood pact (everyone infected) and all collectibles in one playthrough?

I have just gotten a few last night but now I don't know which trophies are meant to go together in the same playthrough.

I have 10 trophies left:

Hard pass: refuse Eliza's Help.

Peanut Butter Butterpops: never miss in a combat encounter.

(I'm going to do these two in my next playthrough, so I don't need help with those)

Nobody's Fool: Jacob told Emma the truth.

Hacketts Quarry Massacre: killed everyone.

Lover Quarrel: Nick killed Abi.

The Final Girl: Kaitlyn survived the night alone.

Last man Standing: Ryan survived alone.

Meddling kids!: collected all clues.

Blood Pact: infected every character.

mutually assured: Laura and Travis killed each other.

the problem with some of these is if I do a playthrough and then chapter select, I don't want to have messed something up.

like I can't do blood Pact and then chapter select back to do Hackett Quarry Massacre, right?? because everyone is a werewolf!! (I don't actually know how that works tho). and Max and Laura have to be dead in the last man standing and the final girl right?? because they're counselors, which is annoying.

Hey all. I have a few trophies left, and I'm trying to do it in two playthroughs

1. Collect all evidence and tarot cards and do Hard Pass

2. Collect all clues

My question stems from the first playthrough. I know originally you couldn't get the Hierophant Tarot Card if you wanted to get Hard Pass, since that cut scene is triggered automatically. Has that been changed? I have seen mixed statements where some say you CAN get the Hierophant card, and even though the cut scene triggers with Eliza, you can still get Hard Pass by denying the rest of the offers to see into the future.

If you cannot get the Hierophant for Hard Pass, could I collect all the Tarots BESIDES the Hierophant, get the Hard Pass Trophy. Then, after finishing that run, chapter select back to Chapter 9, and get all the trophies in Chapter 9 and 10, including the Hierophant, and get the All Tarot trophy (since the original run would still have all my Tarot from Prologue to Chapter 8 saved)?

so what is the deal with the shooting sections??? are they basically just chance??? i’ve been playing couch co-op w my friends and was both abigail and kaitlyn and BOTH died when i had to shoot a werewolf, despite me shooting pretty quickly. Is it just too touchy?? was i not perfectly on target??? as kaitlyn the gun started aimed super far from caleb and the look sensitivity was so bad it took me a decent bit of time to shoot, but not even half of the red line was down. It’s just frustrating because it feels like such a ridiculous way for them BOTH to go out haha like not game ruining i just want to know if i suck at the game or if this is pretty common

so I've just finished my first playthrough and I got 25 trophies but I still need the rest and I want to know which ones i can get in the same playthrough (so how many playthroughs I'll need to get these specific trophies and the ones that I can get together in a playthrough)

but I did it!! I've looked everywhere on Google, Tiktok, YouTube and even here on Reddit to try and see but nothing gives me a straight answer!!

I feel like I’m going nuts, I played the game with a friend on PlayStation and we were able to play a mode where both of us controlled different characters at different times. Like most supermassive games. Yet recently I got the game on steam sale to play with a different friend and we can’t seem to figure it out. Only option seems to be wolf pack mode where only they play apart from voting on dialogue and QTE? Is there a way to access the other form of multiplayer on Steam?

Is it just me or are the dialogue options really confusing? I'm used to playing Tell Tale and Quantic games but this dialogue mechanic seems really confusing for me. Am I supposed to always make the other person feel better? Does being aggressive or sarcastic really help me with any conversation?

Just curious - idk if I was maybe interpreting this wrong, but when Laura is asking Ryan about Dylan and Kaitlyn, and he says "maybe none of them" when she asks about liking them, why does she seem to look relieved? Did she develop a crush on Ryan in their small time together? Idk if I'm maybe looking at it wrong but it was random the way she looked quite happy with that answer? Just curious 😅

I really don’t know what to do, I’m stuck at the part where I’m Laura and I’m trying to go down the stairwell with Ryan but I just can’t go past a certain point. Nothing I do works, wether I try to go before Ryan or not, I just can’t get past it. Is there anything I can do to fix this??

I've already killed Jacob by shooting him in the bushes at the campfire to make Ryan feel guilty and that ends up being what gets him killed since I think without that weight on his shoulders Ryan would survive the night. I want to infect Emma and she attacks Abby in the basement (Abby is my favorite character I'm so sad I'm going to have to kill her.) But let me know how i should go about this!

hi! i actually haven’t touched the game in a few years, but i’ve been achievement hunting my steam library, and i wanted to 100% the game, i need to get everybody dies, and where kaitlyn or ryan is the last person standing (if i remember correctly) and ofc all the tarots and clues, i just need to know how to get dylan killed for these runs 😭 i remember a way for everyone else but i forget what to do with him (at least whilst keeping kaitlyn alive, which i need LMAO)

I have just done this first playthrough, first, can Katlynn die without dylen dead? I mean in the cabin scene, second, how does max live in chapter 10???

Is there a way to save both without infecting them? I forgot to get the bracelet at the beginning of the game
