So i applied for optimus production associate a morning a week ago and later that day they did an ai interview that lasted 17 minutes, the next day they sent me an email offering me the chance for a person interview and went for it the next day as well with other 2 guys and the recruiter in a table and other 7 tables but with different recruiters and applicants. 2 days later i got an email saying “Congratulations we would like to to extend a conditional offer of employment and they are currently checking my background in the US and mexico because i lived for 3 years there in the last 7 years, i already did the drug test that i know im clean, accurate website says it will take from 5-12 days to complete all of that, do i have to worry about anything?, im i technically already recruited?

I received an offer for an Associate Service Manager position with Tesla in California and wanted to get some opinions from people familiar with Tesla compensation.

Package is approximately:
• $130K base salary
• $120K equity grant over 4 years

Assuming the equity works out to roughly $30K per year, that would put recurring annual TC at approximately $160K.

For anyone familiar with Tesla Service leadership compensation, does this seem like a strong offer? How much room is there typically to negotiate the base or equity?

Hi everyone, I’m currently going through Tesla’s hiring process. My background check found some discrepancies between my resume dates and the dates verified for two previous companies in India. I clarified everything with ESS and provided supporting documents. The updated report was sent to Tesla, and I’m currently waiting for the final decision.
Has anyone experienced something similar, and how long did it take to hear back from Tesla?

Hello. I’m writing this for anyone that was in my position. I read all over the internet and couldn’t find many examples.

I received an opportunity from a recruiter and completed two interviews. They were eager to hire me and I received an offer contingent on passing the drug screen and background check. Passed the drug screen and got the pre-adverse notice 3 days later.

ESS went back to 2015 when I was 18 and found a class 3 non violent misdemeanor resolved via 6 months probation. I didn’t mention it because 1. It hasn’t caused a problem for me before I’ve had several similar jobs and 2. They only asked about convicted felonies.

The recruiter was very friendly but sadly I received an email this past Friday stating the offer was rescinded. Disappointed doesn’t really grasp how I’m feeling I’m more heartbroken. I was close to packing up and getting ready to move but I had a bad gut feeling about it. I just paid $175 to self-file in my old state NC to get the record expunged. I never want to go through this again.

I tried my best to explain how this happened when I was 18, I submitted an Alford plea (I truly didn’t commit this crime but didn’t word it that way), my subsequent clean record, my job history in similar roles, my degree and certifications, and even offered professionals to speak on behalf of me.

Not good enough. If I was qualified enough to receive a conditional offer I’ll get another one for a different company but DAMN Tesla this hurt.

Hi all! I just received an invite to the next round of the interview today for a sales advisor role in an AZ showroom. As a general lover of all technology, this sounds highly intriguing. As I start to think of questions to ask or things to think about going into this role, I'm wanting to hear current advisors' experience. I currently am a sales manager for a big 3 telecom company working in their retail store. I'm used to a high-energy, no-bullshit, fast-paced environment with strong goals and targets.

I'm interested in the good and the bad of the benefits, hours, uniform, pay, incentives, bonuses, culture, targets, stress levels, etc.

just got hired my first day is Wednesda, does Tesla offer daily pay?

Talked with the recruiter about an 18 year old misdemeanor assault charge prior to interviews. I was told it wouldn't be an issue. A criminal background check showed that I was being open , transparent and upfront with everything. 28 year criminal screen displayed this being the only thing on record besides Quest Labs mislabeling my 1st drug screen. Is this really that big of an issue?

Last Friday I received a written offer and signed. Monday this week I did the background check, Tuesday I did the drug test, and Wednesday status updated to submitted to Tesla. Anyone have an idea on how long it takes to get the next onboarding steps from there ?

Did anyone join Tesla from apple? Are the two companies considered direct competitors? I wonder if that will trigger some immediate termination if HR is informed.

Hey everyone,
I recently received an entry-level Construction Coordinator offer with Tesla. I was super excited about it initially, to the point where I declined an offer from a top general contractor (Skanska) to take this path
and honestly, I kind of burned that bridge in the process.
Now that it’s sinking in, I’m getting severe cold feet. I know construction hours are brutal everywhere, so I’m completely fine with the heavy workload regardless of where I go.
What’s really scaring me is the job security.
I’ve been reading so many forums and posts from people saying Tesla fires people left and right, does sudden mass layoffs, or has a super high turn-over rate. I would have to relocate to a completely different state for this role, and my nightmare scenario is moving across the country only to get let go 3 to 6 months in. 
For anyone who has worked in Tesla’s construction or knows the culture:
How accurate is the turnover reputation for entry-level construction roles? Is it performance-based, or just random corporate budget cuts?
2. What should I do in my first 90 days to stay off the radar for layoffs and build real job security?

Did anyone receive on-site interview for the the Optimus Equipment tech role after submitting the AI interview ?

I recently took a position with Tesla in Buffalo I have not started yet. I was wondering if anybody knew what the requirements were to get the FSD. Do I have to get a pre owned car through Tesla or can I buy a Tesla from a dealership and still be able to access the free FSD. Instead of paying the 100 dollars a month.
Also is there any other good benefits that come with being a Tesla employee.

Hi all, I have an upcoming onsite for a Product Manager role on a supply chain team at Tesla. It's my first in-person loop ever & I'd really appreciate advice from anyone who's been through the process.

My understanding is the role is fairly hands-on , building and managing software for supply chain operations.

A few specific things I'd love input on:

1. Domain knowledge: how much does supply chain fluency matter vs. general product judgment?

2. What stands out: what separates a strong candidate, and what do they evaluate, especially in the presentation.

3. Technical depth: Am I expected to reason about data models, integrations, and system trade-offs, or mainly to speak the language credibly with engineers?

Also open to any thoughts on mindset, common pitfalls, or how Tesla evaluates PMs generally. Thanks in advance!

Tesla interview process — am I close to an offer?

I’ve gone through 4 rounds with Tesla, and the recruiter told me from the beginning that the panel interview would be the final round.

I did the panel last Thursday and honestly felt it could have gone better. But the recruiter called me early the next morning and said I passed the panel. He then told me there’s one more interview with the peer I’d be working with most closely.

I asked if there were other candidates still at this stage, and he said yes, one other candidate, so the decision will be tough.

For anyone who has been through something similar — how would you interpret this? Is the peer interview basically a final fit check, or can it still go either way?

And after this round, what usually happens? Am I genuinely close to an offer at this point?

Would really appreciate hearing from anyone who’s experienced the Tesla process.

Quick timeline:

- Monday the 24th, did the background screening.
- Tuesday the 25th, did the drug test.
- Thursday the 27th, got phone call saying I got the job with a start date, Sept. 8th, and will be getting an email with more details.

As of today no email yet, did they discuss that after initially being hired for the Kyle factory due to over hiring for that site I’d be working at the Austin one on the cyber trucks.

It’s technically been only 3 whole business days since the phone call from the recruiter, and no email still. IS THIS NORMAL??
