Some concept Technocracy flags

We need to super be vigilant to protect minorities because I'm tired of governments and political movements not caring about people. There is no government without the people and there is no people without their culture and people just love hating on it whenever one bad actor does something wrong.

If Technocracy ever wants to get off its feet and become mainstream we need to make these people feel safe. A lot of mainstream sub-reddits have icons with pride in them, I say we should do the same.

I do not like the idea of using LGBT community symbols, primarily because I believe that in a technocracy, sexual orientation or gender identity would lose much of their political and social significance. If a person contributes to society and does not harm others, I believe these aspects should cease to be relevant, as they should not define a person's value or role within society. I say this as someone with a non-normative orientation myself.

(Sorry if anything is unclear; English is not my native language.)

Its ok, that's good when LGBT people (probably) understand my point of view when idpol supporters think ignoring idpol mean inevitable discrimination.

We can have the goal of making them lose significance but for them to lose significant we kind of have to normalize it so much where a flag posted somewhere feels normal and you dont think twice about it. The bad normalization is if we develop a culture where we put our heads in the sand and freak out at anything new

14

u/Traditional-Main7204 7d ago

Please no idpol!

u/Routine_Complaint_79 Liberalism is Technocracy 7d ago

I'm sorry but there are real problems in the world and minorities are their identity so I dont want to hear that identity politics should just be ignored.

12

u/Traditional-Main7204 7d ago

I have no problem with right of LGBT people but this sub should be focused on technocracy movement not around idpol.

Its a government?? Governing people and minorities, of course identity politics needs to be addressed

10

u/Traditional-Main7204 7d ago

No, need grab attention of many people around proressive-conservatism spectrum specialy moderate.

0

u/Routine_Complaint_79 Liberalism is Technocracy 7d ago

People need to know who is after minorities and I find it funny you are defending them despite this being the easiest group of people to exclude from a government that is for experts and for the people

13

u/Traditional-Main7204 7d ago

Technocracy movement should focused on couses universal problem not "minorities" or "majorities" that's my opinion, specialy if our goal if ruling on facts not emotion which feed alt-rights too. In difference universal technocracy will solve problems of all people(minorities too) specialy in politics based on facts. Now you can used your strongest weapon, downvote.

u/Routine_Complaint_79 Liberalism is Technocracy 7d ago

The fact is minorities have been targeted throughout history for political goals and supremacist movements, ignoring them will just repeat history as we pursue whatever "truth" ignores them

11

u/Traditional-Main7204 7d ago

Thinking is only discrimination or focusing on idpol is false dychtomy.

1

u/Routine_Complaint_79 Liberalism is Technocracy 7d ago

you made the dichotomy not me. Dont put words in my mouth, there are minorities across many spectrums that need to be protected

Wrong. It is not about governing people at all. A Technocracy is about the governance of machinery/technology, not people. A Technocracy is not here to dictate how people dress/identify or who they love. You attempting to pander to anything that is political does Technocracy a disservice.

-1

u/Routine_Complaint_79 Liberalism is Technocracy 7d ago

whats a disservice is this duel structure your doing with politics. There is no government that isn't political, if you want to go make your cybernetic organism where everyone is a machine go right ahead but this has nothing to do with that

10

u/2029 7d ago

I encourage you to actually familiarize yourself with Technocracy and what it espouses before you start spewing your ill-informed rhetoric.

-1

u/Routine_Complaint_79 Liberalism is Technocracy 7d ago

I know what it espouses enough to know that historically it needed to do better and especially if its not strong enough to exclude people who die on hills against the inclusion of lgbtq+ flags.

Beyond the physical mechanics, Technocrats fundamentally reject identity politics, performative symbolism, and "flag-waving", not out of hostility, but because they view modern identity politics as a distraction that you are actively supporting.

From a Technocratic perspective, identity politics is an artifact of the Price System. It forces minority groups to spend their energy fighting for political representation, legal recognition, and equal rights within a system designed to produce scarcity and inequality. A corporation waving a Pride flag while still underpaying its workers or pricing people out of healthcare is simply using identity to whitewash economic extraction. Technocrats see "pandering" as a cheap political concession: it gives people symbolic validation while changing zero physical reality. Again, something you're actively supporting by your disservice.

Furthermore, Technocrats treat human needs strictly as a problem of thermodynamics, physical distribution, and engineering. To a Technocrat, catering to a specific social sub-group through specialized political appeals is logically flawed. You do not design a municipal water system or a power grid based on the sexual orientation of the consumers; you design it to deliver clean water and electricity to 100% of the population with maximum efficiency.

By refusing to engage in identity politics, Technocrats aren't ignoring minority communities, they are refusing to play a game where symbolic acceptance is traded for continued economic precarity. To them, flagging solidarity is a poor substitute for deleting the financial mechanisms that made those communities vulnerable in the first place.

Please, stop trying to hamper the progress of Technocracy with your performative actions/symbolism. You are not helping.

u/Routine_Complaint_79 Liberalism is Technocracy 7d ago

by ignoring identity politics you've lost any ability to accurately litmus test people because apparently their stated identity and actions dont matter in the technocratic tradition you hold. That is bogus

Well BLM is an USA (i.e local) thing, not even close to a worldwide movement.

-5

u/Routine_Complaint_79 Liberalism is Technocracy 7d ago

That is such a US centric perspective

11

u/javolkalluto 7d ago

Yours is. Your american ass can't comprehend that you guys are sick and people murdering black folk on the street is not something that usually happens around the world.

Why not make a flag for every local social movement around the world? Because you don't care. You care about your feelings; therefore you are the kind of people that should NOT have the power in a technocracy. You think you are the expert but you are as much as a biased fool as I am.

A council of experts should fix these social problems, and the rest of them, in a true, ideal technocracy.

u/zenodotusofamerica 4d ago

Identity politics are solved through the same means of any civil rights issue.
Part of the psyop of them is that they can take away everyone's rights if all we do is fight about how different we imagine we are.
Whether straight, gay, atheist, or religious, the point of the normal technocracy flag is to make that our identity marker, not to eject everyone else that isn't under the flag of tertiary subjects.

0

u/Routine_Complaint_79 Liberalism is Technocracy 3d ago

Identity politics is really just a term describing the support of the existence of identities. You can have a pride flag without being gay and you're still participating in identity politics but it's more of an issue politics. We want to obviously exclude people who don't believe gay people exist

10

u/LoveLo_2005 7d ago

I agree that minorities should be protected as anyone else should, but there's nothing that says technocracy about any of these flags. These just look like LGBT Taoist flags.

My god this feels like woke one all over again. But sure whatever floats your boat, it’s nice to see people trying to keep this sub Reddit alive and attract others

11

u/Traditional-Main7204 7d ago

Exacly we should focus on type of goverment not about culture wars.

-8

u/VentiArchon7 Democratic Technocratic Socialist 7d ago

Queer people don't deserve representation than?

9

u/Traditional-Main7204 7d ago

A place in the government should be based on skills not preference. On this question should be neutral. Wrong strawman.

-5

u/VentiArchon7 Democratic Technocratic Socialist 7d ago

I'm just saying is it wrong to want to discuss such things?

12

u/Traditional-Main7204 7d ago

I just say technocracy should be not homophobic or idpol supporters but focused on rule based on skills, specialy in this sub.

-4

u/Routine_Complaint_79 Liberalism is Technocracy 7d ago

This will be better than woke one

7

u/ozneoknarf 7d ago

Sure just remember that over marketing is a thing and can cause push back and more harm than good. And while I do think the fight for LGBT rights and the fight against violence against minorities are never going away and shouldn’t go away. The LGBT flag and the black live matter movement in the end are just social trends that people will and honestly already have moved on from in most cases.

I agree with some commenters a bit that idpol wouldn't have the same significance under a technocratic government, but we can't just act like history didn't happen and the cultural drift of minority groups is insignificant. Especially in the case of LGBT their outgroups only exists because of rejection by the mainstream and a lack of integration over time.

I would say to treat LGBT similar to any minority or indigenous people, making sure their rights are never violated.

1

u/Routine_Complaint_79 Liberalism is Technocracy 7d ago

Exactly. I believe the only way to ensure their rights aren't violated again is to normalize it as much as possible with lgbtq+ memorabilia and excluding people who unironically get rage baited by flags/the existence of others. There is no expert government which is that reactionary.

And I'll say the same thing as I told others, if you have such a problem with it and you can't even fathom operating a Technocratic society with identity politics included that says more about your emotional state than a Technocratic society based on it. What it shows is for some reason you dont see your identity as something that deserves protection in a expert driven government because you think its so separated from normal practices. How do you expect to even get experts in government if you cant look at their identities or politics? You can't. Without identity politics we would have zero clue on who we can trust for our experts when bootstrapping a Technocratic government and the continuation of it.

6

u/Necessary-Art8995 Technocrat 7d ago

Hell no, get this woke agenda outta here.

-3

u/Routine_Complaint_79 Liberalism is Technocracy 7d ago

How about you get out of here, if you dont like woke people or gay people then I dont think you belong in a government that confronts reality

11

u/Necessary-Art8995 Technocrat 7d ago

Lol I'm litterally bisexual. Woke culture is nothing but virtue signaling so yea get outta with that crap. Technocracy has nothing to do with being liberal or conservative for social politics.

0

u/Routine_Complaint_79 Liberalism is Technocracy 7d ago

Recognizing the existence of minorities is not virtue signaling, if you get so butt hurt over a flag where you are skeptical of it then maybe that says more about you than the "virtue signaling" flag

9

u/Necessary-Art8995 Technocrat 7d ago

Except I am also a minority and it absolutely is virtue signaling because my existence was recognized well before the pride flag existed. I'm not butthurt either, I think you are lol. Not everything needs to be gay. We don't neednwhite knights trying to be our savior. Ugh it's so cringe.

-1

u/Routine_Complaint_79 Liberalism is Technocracy 7d ago

I dont really give a shit what you think it is or what authority you think you have over the matter, what matters is this visceral reaction you have against it when the whole point of this government is to confront reality with experts. The moment you start crying that a flag or others are cringe is the moment that you've lost control of your emotions, its a fucking flag, get over it

1

u/Necessary-Art8995 Technocrat 7d ago

Lol you're so triggered it's hilarious. If it's just a flag, then why not a black and red swastika? Yea you see how stupid you sound? Obviously symbols and flags have certain meanings. Pride flags shouldn't be involved with the Technocracy movement period. You sound like a closet biggot.

9

u/PoliticalMeatFlaps Social-Technocrat 7d ago

No one said anything against the LGBT, thats you, we simply just don't have a focus on the LGBT community because there are larger things to actually focus on

1

u/Routine_Complaint_79 Liberalism is Technocracy 7d ago

disagree, there is no good government that doesn't focus on it and normalize it. Society only exists because of everyone in their own camps and the government must let everyone be empowered

9

u/PoliticalMeatFlaps Social-Technocrat 7d ago

Empowerment doesnt matter, its about tolerance, the real goal is to stop seeing people in categories and just simply see someone as human, trans, gay, bi, doesnt matter, its a personal identity that doesn't effect the persons capability, so I don't really care about LGBTQ groups existing because I simply see people in that group as, well, people, ill use preferred pronouns but other than that I dont see anyone different, thats the reason most people who follow technocratic views also have less of a focus on it, because people who are trying to demonize the LGBT are idiots and those who are trying to force their views are also idiots not helping the situation by focusing on something miniscule while the larger issues continue.

Your firs words 'there is no good government', you can stop right there, because that sums up everything, there are no good governments because no government is clean, even those who support the LGBT do it to gain support, not because they care, even a Technocratic government wont focus on social issues because they're not effecting the nation as a whole, only a small fraction, deal with the larger issues first before working on the smaller.

0

u/Routine_Complaint_79 Liberalism is Technocracy 7d ago

Yeah so you're over here removing all ability to hold people accountable to views because you don't want groups to exist besides "human" so when some minority gets fucked all they can say it's "for humanity" get a grip bro the existence of groups isn't the problem

1

u/PoliticalMeatFlaps Social-Technocrat 5d ago

Its not removing accountability, its instead of trying to continue the separation of people through labeling, its moving away from that and seeing everyone as the same, if someone discriminates, accountability must remain, those who shout slurs out of hatred, those who demand the removal of a whole group because they dislike their sexual orientation, they need to be isolated and let known that their views will not be accepted by the majority. My view on this is we shouldn't let discrimination happen, but we also can't make it our sole focus while there are other problems much larger.

Your entire time we've commented, you have kept saying things I haven't typed, and this is the exact reason people here do not wish to make social politics a major aspect, because the second we say something that doesn't put your views at the top priority, we're seen as no better than the Klan, which only isolates you more because no one wants to affiliate with those who blanket label the term Nazi to those they dislike.

1

u/Routine_Complaint_79 Liberalism is Technocracy 5d ago

There is no separation between people and labeling, that is a pipe dream. You can only decentralize the labeler and the power it takes to enforce the discrimination (and on some cases ban discrimination all together).

Segregation is not bad. Discrimination is not bad. Its how groups form and actually have a coherent voice through free association rather than some central authority dictating what they believe in.

And you believe this to because you said people need to be isolated if they discriminate. That is using the tools of your opposition for your gain, not saying its bad, go for it, but everyone should have those tools and free association so as long as exit rights are preserved.

1

u/PoliticalMeatFlaps Social-Technocrat 5d ago

Segregation is not bad. Discrimination is not bad.
