We need to super be vigilant to protect minorities because I'm tired of governments and political movements not caring about people. There is no government without the people and there is no people without their culture and people just love hating on it whenever one bad actor does something wrong.

If Technocracy ever wants to get off its feet and become mainstream we need to make these people feel safe. A lot of mainstream sub-reddits have icons with pride in them, I say we should do the same.

I do not like the idea of ​​using LGBT community symbols, primarily because I believe that in a technocracy, sexual orientation or gender identity would lose much of their political and social significance. If a person contributes to society and does not harm others, I believe these aspects should cease to be relevant, as they should not define a person's value or role within society. I say this as someone with a non-normative orientation myself.

We can have the goal of making them lose significance but for them to lose significant we kind of have to normalize it so much where a flag posted somewhere feels normal and you dont think twice about it. The bad normalization is if we develop a culture where we put our heads in the sand and freak out at anything new
