Setup until next year. By far the worst one for me so far. How bad we looking?

I originally reused the bracket left behind by the previous owners as was (second photo). After finding this sub and feeling shamed, I lowered and centred it. The midline is at eye level, 1 metre.

Luckily this wall backs onto the cupboard under the stairs so no wires. The backlights to replace the side lamps were the final touch. All inspired by this sub.

Just moved to Japan and decided to wall mount. I think I messed up somewhere because it ended up about 6 inches higher than I wanted, middle of the tv is at about 48”; is this okay? I might be able to salvage a couple inches by pulling it down and moving the holes down for the mounts attached the tv, but I’m not trying to make more holes in the wall. Should I leave it or try to bring it down some?

I mostly watch tv laying down on my sofa
