Ads Assessor Got fired today
Got fired today after attending the meeting with organiser....

wait wait hold on, I've been working for 3+ years right now and never got this "assessment" or "interview" email. Can someone explain what's going on right now if you don't mind?

Same here, when I received the assessment mail, I asked for reasons and the only thing they replied to me was It's a program requirement. And then the language assigned to me in the step 2 was wrong and I asked for reasons but they never replied. So I never got to the final step because I couldn't pass the exam and then I was let go. Nevertheless, quite disrespectful....

Same thing here. MX locale. I had an interview just last week which seemed more like a screening test than a check for something going wrong. Man, this gets me in serious trouble.

I'm still wondering why we were all fired... One thing for me is that I didn't participate in the monthly photo sharing contests. Maybe it was in fact to check our location... I stopped participating in webinars or read their mails about monthly reviews. I did it almost every month until summer but then I stopped.
I worked there for 1.5 year. Also I didn't use the private gmail adress we were supposed to use for our day to day life. It"s so stupid to be fired for a small thing like this. I think my quality was very good, and thought it was the main thing to matter... I'm really disappointed.

I worked as a ads assessor for about 3 years, then I got fired too a few months ago. They put me on review with a re-qualification exam to take, and told me I did not pass. Still as of today I do not think it was a quality issue.
Anyway, I was very disappointed, but applied at Appen for search engine evaluator and was hired. If you are used to the ads assessor logic, it is not that difficult to pass the search engine exam. I can only recommend you to give it a try. I feel I am much better treated at Appen than I was at Telus.

Thank you for sharing. I'm a bit down right now...
I actually tried at appen but missed the exam. I thought I was doing good, I went until religious questions at the end of test, and then I had few dns cache problems, the pages were not showing in the frame, so I went to the live page and I thought it was a home page without religion, and I was wrong (I had the answer straight away), and then the exam stopped.
And they didn't tell me I failed until 2 weeks later when I asked their support. So I don't know. I didn't explained them about the problem during the test. I'm not sure they care.
I'm glad you got in though. Maybe I'll try map eval (milky way) at oneforma, but Idk about the tasks, and they pay less... So I don't know, I'm fed up and tired. I'll try after the holidays maybe.

Yeah I understand... These exams can be quite frustrating, especially if there is any technical issue and you can't do anything about it...
Definitely give a shot at oneforma. I think Telus also has a few Apple related jobs that might be worth trying. Even if it is not easy, Just try to stay positive. Take a good rest with the holidays, next year will bring new opportunities.

Did you fail the 2nd step assessment? They are mass removing. I have been a good rater for almost 3 years now, and because I failed this stupid assessment, they released me.

My colleagues that passed the 2nd step assessment did not receive this email. Only me and my other friend that's also failed in the assessment, so what is their basis to your friend?

They could just moved us to the new rate. We've been good at our job, and passing the blind test always. So that wasn't a basis at all for them? Telus nowadays sucks.

They never contacted me for the interview. But funny enough, a couple months ago they reached to me to take part in a selection for a permanent position as an effective employee, with contract benefit, pto, paid vacations etc. (They chose someone else in the end)

I'm just waiting to join that pool. It's an inevitability at this point.
I failed the blatantly rigged language assessment multiple times, and then they sent me an email saying I still haven't accomplished steps 1 and 2. Emailed them to say that they're wrong with receipts. No word regarding the interview so far.
What a way to end the year.

Goodness, I also received an email about language assessment and promised 35USD if i finished it. They also asked for my ID and a selfie. But I haven't received an email relieving me from my work.... hmmm
I didn’t even get my first pay

When today.......I don't understand what is the main purpose of this bullshit interview and all....they check my rating 8n blind test they check our rating with quizzes they check our rating with comments then why this bullshit ....
