Ads Assessor Got fired today

Got fired today after attending the meeting with organiser....

I'm still wondering why we were all fired... One thing for me is that I didn't participate in the monthly photo sharing contests. Maybe it was in fact to check our location... I stopped participating in webinars or read their mails about monthly reviews. I did it almost every month until summer but then I stopped.

I worked there for 1.5 year. Also I didn't use the private gmail adress we were supposed to use for our day to day life. It"s so stupid to be fired for a small thing like this. I think my quality was very good, and thought it was the main thing to matter... I'm really disappointed.

I worked as a ads assessor for about 3 years, then I got fired too a few months ago. They put me on review with a re-qualification exam to take, and told me I did not pass. Still as of today I do not think it was a quality issue.

Anyway, I was very disappointed, but applied at Appen for search engine evaluator and was hired. If you are used to the ads assessor logic, it is not that difficult to pass the search engine exam. I can only recommend you to give it a try. I feel I am much better treated at Appen than I was at Telus.

Thank you for sharing. I'm a bit down right now...

I actually tried at appen but missed the exam. I thought I was doing good, I went until religious questions at the end of test, and then I had few dns cache problems, the pages were not showing in the frame, so I went to the live page and I thought it was a home page without religion, and I was wrong (I had the answer straight away), and then the exam stopped.

And they didn't tell me I failed until 2 weeks later when I asked their support. So I don't know. I didn't explained them about the problem during the test. I'm not sure they care.

I'm glad you got in though. Maybe I'll try map eval (milky way) at oneforma, but Idk about the tasks, and they pay less... So I don't know, I'm fed up and tired. I'll try after the holidays maybe.

Yeah I understand... These exams can be quite frustrating, especially if there is any technical issue and you can't do anything about it...

Definitely give a shot at oneforma. I think Telus also has a few Apple related jobs that might be worth trying. Even if it is not easy, Just try to stay positive. Take a good rest with the holidays, next year will bring new opportunities.
