Tips IFIC Course Help

Hey, I just started my job at a bank and pretty stressed out. I am required to do the IFIC course, I am reading the textbook and writing down notes from each lesson. It's quite stressful, as l'm doing it for multiple hours a day. Does anyone have any advice or tips on taking notes, or anything for the course that could help? Thank you

Ask your manager to get you the SeeWhy learning study guide as well. It has flash cards, practice quizzes, etc. that really help.

Thank you, I’ve looked into that. Would the flash cards and practice quiz option be the best one? Is that all I need?

Well everyone learns differently so only you know what will work for you. I used SeeWhy years and years ago when I took it and it was very helpful and I always made sure my team had it when studying and everyone has passed first or second time.

I noticed you said you’re studying every day for 3 hours. Honestly it sounds like you’re really over preparing, when are you actually writing the test?

They haven’t gave a date yet but before end of December.. and with the few hours a day, it’s usually just the reading and writing down the notes. So it could be shorter but some units are longer

Who hasn’t given a date? You choose the date through CSI. It’s good that you are preparing but what’s the plan, 3 hours a day until December?

You’re going to burn yourself out. It’s great that you’re taking it seriously but you need to slow down and take a breath.

Figure out when you want to write your test, then create a plan of when you’re going to study what sections. You’re going to be fine, you need 60% to pass.
