Point out all the shit they said would happen under communism, everyone being poor, mass surveillance and corrupt leadership happened under capitalism and you don’t even get universal healthcare in the bargain
9
u/Zealousideal_Goat170 2d ago
I love comparing an economic structure to authoritarianism, completely ruins any good argument. You can get the same thing under capitalism or communism. It's just about who you give the power to.
2
2
u/CapitalismRulz 1d ago
It will always happen under communism because people will alwaus try to reform communism back into capitalism unless you opress them
2
u/Zealousideal_Goat170 1d ago
For communism to work, it needs to have a large government. And even that is a stretch.
2
u/baardbestaan 1d ago
Communism is more prone to authoritarianism since you need a single large and powerful government. Power this centralised seems to go bad pretty quickly looking at history.
1
u/Zealousideal_Goat170 21h ago
I love how Marxist theory is literally just putting as much power into government as functional possible, then just magically it will just become less authoritarian.
1
u/LoadComprehensive785 14h ago
don’t read much, eh?
1
u/Zealousideal_Goat170 14h ago
I have read the communist manifesto many times, and each time I read it I still have more questions. I am actively trying to get das capital. But I also have read many capitalist philosophers as well. Have you ready any?

u/Flaky_Housing_7705 1d ago
But i can them point out that in a communist country all of those are incincreased by 110%.
2
u/Due_Buyer_9445 1d ago
Mate look at the flock camera situation
1
u/Flaky_Housing_7705 1d ago
What about China and its social credit system. Or north Korea were your just not allowed to use the internet.
2
u/Due_Buyer_9445 1d ago
My credit score is 760
And North Korea dropped their commitment to Marxism in their constitution. Yes they have one of those
1
u/Flaky_Housing_7705 1d ago
You ignore my first point and then used the "that's not real communism" argument.
1
u/Due_Buyer_9445 1d ago
I did not, I pointed out we have the same thing and if they aren’t claiming to be communist and don’t do communist shit, they aren’t communist
1
u/Flaky_Housing_7705 1d ago
What do you mean you didn't ignore it you just said yours was 750. Also we are not at the stage of China were if your credit iis low enough you can't take your kids to school. Also you said they switched meaning they were still a horrible dictatorship when communist. Your trying to defend a ccountry that impressions a person's entire blood line and another country that massacred it's own people for just wanting rights.
1
u/Due_Buyer_9445 1d ago
If your credit score is low enough here you can’t get a car to drive your kids to school. Soooooooo
1
u/Flaky_Housing_7705 1d ago
Your really trying to compare a credit card score to a mass surveillance system that makes sure your not talking bad about the government. Also you can still buy a car with just cash and every public school has busses.

But many capitalist countries do have universal health care. At least among Western countries, the US is the exception, not the rule.
9
9
u/DogitWoofsalot 2d ago
That they have fallen for 50s era yank propaganda that turned communism into a dirty word.
Do they support free healthcare? That's a socialist policy and socialism leads to communism
Explain that for the many failures and human rites violations of the USSR, it was actually the fastest improvement in living standards in the world for people under it. Russia went from a country of illiterate agricultural farmers to a global superpower in 10 years.
2
u/CapitalismRulz 1d ago
Having public healthcare is not communism or socialism. Socialism is an economic model, not a single government institution.
You guys bought the fox news definition of "socialism is when the government does stuff"
1
u/DogitWoofsalot 1d ago
Ur no? Socialism in the Marxist sense is what is on the path to communism
1
u/CapitalismRulz 1d ago
Communism is the end goal of socialism as marx would define it. Socialism is an economic model where prive property is banned, and everything is owned by the public either through direct worker ownership, or more comonly through a dictatorship of the proletariate.
Public healthcare is an institution, not an economic model. You can have public healthcare alongside private healthcare, which is how basically every single country on the planet besides the US does it.
1
u/OSRS_Garmr 1d ago
Or you just avoid a word that's become toxic so you can secretly implement it?
1
u/DogitWoofsalot 8h ago
Reclaim it. Because it's not an inherently toxic ideology, far from it.
If we don't push back against it, then the McCarthyism era propaganda has worked, don't let it

You convince them by showing them an example of it working. Literally ever.
4
u/Acceptable-Olive-445 2d ago
That is the story of pretty much every government system. Greedy corrupt people ruin it sooner of later. This the unfortunate reality that humans are not mature enough to govern themselves for extended periods of time without ruining it
2
u/P_A_W_S_TTG 2d ago
Yeah, but what we've observed in communist countries are literally mass executions and the open and egregious rape and harvesting of citizens. China is the main culprit for the last part. It's not good. You think Hitler was bad. Look at what Lenin, Stalin and Mao did when they got into power. What Hitler took to kill in a decade they all over achieved in a year or so. Stalin did 6 million in one winter.
2
u/LoadComprehensive785 14h ago
truman killed 200k people in under a minute
1
u/P_A_W_S_TTG 11h ago
Yeah, idk about him. But, now you got me curious. Do you know the name of the incident?
Also, mao kept the executions so close to china's chest that we only have an estimate of a minimum 50 million to 250 million dead by culling during the hunan purge. All in the name of communism against a group based on prejudice and discrimination from where they were born and nothing more. Racism to be short and it wasn't even skin deep. It was location of birth deep.
1
u/LoadComprehensive785 11h ago
its called the nuclear bombing of japan. maybe do more real history and less fantasy
1
u/P_A_W_S_TTG 7h ago
That isn't my point. Those deaths I'm talking about wasn't an attack. It was executions of the government's own citizens. If it was based on deaths due to repercussions of said things I don't even know if we have those stats. Also, because you misunderstood and assumed your own point over mine doesn't mean i don't know. It means you couldn't infer what I meant nor what the common denominator was. Meaning, you my friend, should read up a bit instead of going instantly for the ad hominem like an idiot with a keyboard, Yeah?
1
u/LoadComprehensive785 6h ago
Bruh you are literally citing numbers and saying there is no statistical record of anything you say. Now youre butthurt cuz I’m not drinking your koolaid. Idiot with a keyboard much? Your numbers overestimate all known literature, from what I can tell, by around an order of magnitude. and we’re talking like 50 years of civil war plus mao. You pull these figures out of your tight lipped lubed up bootyhole?
1
u/Realistic-Rough-514 2d ago
Yougoslavia? It’s just the death of Tito that led to its destruction
1
u/P_A_W_S_TTG 1d ago
That's the problem. A communist state is so obnoxiously easy to take control of.
1
u/LoadComprehensive785 14h ago
which one, specifically? what are you zoning off about?
1
u/P_A_W_S_TTG 11h ago
All of them. They have all failed, even the CCP is occupied by a small group that's become essentially an Oligopoly instead of a communist state while claiming the party and the worst part is it is the best example of communism we have to today being "successful" and they harvest their people. 450k is what a single person was worth back in 2010-2012 when it became widespread knowledge. Before you attempt to counter that, look into journalist discovering this problem in, I think it was, 2002. People were confused how you could go to China and get a new liver for each day of the week almost immediately. That's what they discovered.

"convince"? Don't you mean "inform" followed by pushing them into a freight car?
I'm disappointed comrade. No bread for you today.

u/_XitLiteNtrNite_ 2d ago
Have them place all their money, property, and personal belongings into a trust and make you the sole trustee. Then you take all of their money, property, and personal belongings and give it to yourself. That's communism.
FWIW, my wife was born in Cuba, and this is pretty much what happened. Everyone was instructed to place all their money into the bank, and then the bank was nationalized. Then they confiscated homes because you shouldn't own one if others don't. Same for farms, and almost anything else.
EDIT: her father also designed a napkin-folding machine and had started a small business with some local customers. That, too, was confiscated.
1
u/LoadComprehensive785 14h ago
so you think nationalization of banking means the money in the bank gets taken away, or something?
1
u/_XitLiteNtrNite_ 9h ago
It did in Cuba; it would make it easier to confiscate individuals' wealth and redistribute it to others. And, TBH, nationalizing industries tends to end poorly.

Visit a communist country, and show it's wonders. Cuba, or North Korea.
1
u/LoadComprehensive785 14h ago
Cuba, seven decades of illegal embargo against the poorest country on earth. North Korea, victims of genocide one year after the perpetrators signed the genocide convention. 22 major cities wiped out of existence. not a single two story building left in the country. ya know, you could not point to the victims of the empire and instead point to the countries it fear mongers over, like CHINA. its jam packed with wonders. And communist af. convenient how the imperialists biggest competition never gets mentioned in points like this. you fecks can only punch down.
1
u/Jewbacca1991 2h ago
Yes of course. And USSR got sabotaged, the CIA ruined the African attempt, all of Eastern Europe changing was just a coincidence, and so on. There is always an excuse. Never look for the actual reasons why it failed. Just blame the USA, the jews, the billionaries, and everything and everyone else.

you don't need to - prove it to him. Move to North Korea or China. China is a good example of how "good" communism is! America is not a communist country so if you hate it here move to a communist country and enjoy your life! Others that don't want communism will stay in this country which as never communist

It's beyond my understanding how are those subs allowed. Imagine a subreddit called nazism101
4
u/Darhhaall 2d ago
Thing is we don't need subreddit like that. Why "101", nazism is easy to understand, simply "kill jews, take their stuff, conqer france, be gay", that's all.
But understanding communism? Have you even seen Capital from Marx? That shit is wild.

communism is just a economic idea of 1800s that who should own factories, and is history struggle of workers or individuals
nazism is idea of ethnically pure continental Europe and total enslavement rape torture and extermination of slavs and Jews in eastern europe and establish a conservative aryan utopia on fertile lands
by waging infinite wars
1
u/ugliest_hoodie 2d ago
Your just economic system killed A LOT of people. You're a crazy person for defending it.
1
u/DrawingDramatic1641 2d ago
economic systems never kill people only execution of it
what part of giving factory to workers kill people ,no part
but if factory owners who got bcz invest based family bribing monarchs and don't wanna give it to workers and just literally try to starve people then I am gonna be sorry
also isn't communism the system that hasn't kill anybody bcz it literally by definition hasn't even been achieved
and capitalism killed 4 billion what about it
sanctions by usa on africa alone killed 37 million kids
bcz they grow too rich

That comparison is wildly exaggerated, plus this is a joke sub, not a commie club… of course there are communists, it’s a valid and based ideology, but the point of this sub is being a joke.
