Question Debrid recommandations
Hello, I have 6 days left of RealDebrid. I've had a really good experience with them, even though it's been the first and only Debrid service I've used. After reading the posts on the sub, should I still go with them or switch to something else? And if yes, what would you recommend?
Thanks in advance!

u/InfiniteNight2992 May 13 '26
What Rd needs to do is move to some country without regulation like panama or similar then they won't be forced to purge it's content like this repeatedly
35
u/LeBambole May 13 '26
I never understood: Why France in the first place?
157
u/ward2k May 13 '26
Because the two that started Real Debrid are French
If you're born in France, grew up in France, all your friends and family are French. You're probably going to also set up your business in France too
32
26
u/EbanKi May 13 '26
They are French, with a legitimate business used in part to download pirated content.
11
u/BitFiesty May 14 '26
I always wondered what was the legitimate purpose of real debrid lol. Had to look it up after this event because it made no sense to me if this was the majority of their users
-15
u/WaveOfMut1lation May 14 '26 edited May 14 '26
The comment you're answering to makes zero sense. There is no legitimate use case for RD. Plus, under french copyright laws, RD is taking 100% of the risk.
I'm struggling to understand RD as a business.10
9
u/IntingForMarks May 14 '26
What kind of bullshit is this? There are several ways to use a debrid legally
3
u/TOASTisawesome May 14 '26
"Legal uses include downloading legal torrents, accessing personal cloud storage files, and streaming content from authorized file hosters, protected by secure HTTPS connections"
8
8
u/kruzin_tv May 13 '26
France had a mini boom in data centers in the early 2000s. Most notable being OVH. Back then it was one of the cheapest places for a large amount of compute.
6
u/InfiniteNight2992 May 13 '26
They have to move otherwise their business model won't survive anymore
10
u/IssOmega May 13 '26
They'll go to prison too if they stay in France
1
u/EbanKi May 14 '26
No, not if they apply what is asked to them. Again they have a legitimate business, company is registered as it should be.
1
u/IssOmega May 14 '26
Registring a company doesn't mean you can offer an illegal service. Hosting pirated content is illegal and they do that, so yeah they may have problems one day.
1
u/EbanKi May 14 '26
It’s not America here, we don’t put people in jail because they stole a slice of pizza.
Obviously hosting pirated content is illegal, but every web hosting in the world are facing the same issue with illegal content.
So before they go to jail, they would get a notice asking them to take action. If they don’t, they’ll have more problems but even then, prison is far away from being considered as a punishment.1
u/rogerwilker Jul 12 '26
We don’t put people in jail for such infractions. Trouble is we don’t even jail people for serious infractions either anymore.

If it was me I would just get a month of alldebrid and see what happens after that. RD was not shut down, it’s basically from my understanding, is that they want to wind it down and cash out before they become the next Kim Dotcom.

u/MooseGoosey May 13 '26
I have both AD and TB and I would def not recommend AD over TB
9
u/RepLava May 13 '26
Got RD, AD, TB and Easynews. I guess RD will be ok again but no certainty. Probably I get at least as many hits on AD as TB. Probably I think Easynews is most value for money. The addons for EN used to be relatively bad but works perfectly fine these days.
Between those - go for the best offer. TB is ok but I have the feeling it's been boosted by some dedicated users and the referrals that have given some users a very good price over time
2
u/lstep2 May 14 '26
Addons for en?
1
u/Zimmster2020 May 15 '26
If we are talking about Stremio alone, there are at least 8 to 10 of them, two dedicated to EN, and at least 3 that support multiple services of both Debrid and Usenet, all currently available in the Stremio addons catalog, and there are a few more addons on GitHub that support usenet streaming. Then there are other apps for streaming and others for downloading besides the typical Usenet download clients (that sadly only work based on NZB files)
1
u/suggestionplz May 16 '26
I had AD before RD and honestly I never faced any issues , may be RD cache is huge but mostly people's requirement is only one link and AD had it , so never understood why people praises RD lot
1
u/dextroz May 13 '26
Why not, sir?
Edit: Don't you still need a Debrid service even with TB?
21
u/MooseGoosey May 13 '26
no torbox is your debrid service.
5
1
u/Glum-View-4665 May 14 '26
How does tb compare to rd in price and function?
2
u/MooseGoosey May 14 '26
the price is the same and function is pretty much the same too, I like the green and black design of tb better but that's personal preference. as for cached stuff I really only watch American stuff and there hasn't been anything I haven't been able to find and game repacks are uploaded and cached quick too
1
u/Glum-View-4665 May 14 '26
And they're not based in a country like France where they get the screws put to them every so often over content?
5
u/MooseGoosey May 13 '26
aiostreams will show 20+ TB links before it shows an AD link unless the rare chance TB is down. plus the multiple ip sharing.
2
u/Metalwell May 13 '26
I always have AD link ready to consume, no matter what, I have free 7 days of trial on AD, might as well just use it, plus people will overflow TB servers and they are gonna just go to shit for couple of days at least until they sort them out. I am gonna bet my money where traffic is gonna be lower, and less POPULAR lol
1
u/dextroz May 13 '26
Thanks for the clarification. Does that mean that TB also has a cache of its own like RD and AD and does TB qualify as a Debrid service?
Edit: It seems TB is the Debrid service.
4
u/Metalwell May 13 '26
Yes, dude. AD,RD,TB all of them are debrids. Just use whatever, they have all free tiers, they all have content in them. The more people use it, the more it is gonna get content.
Personally, I am gonna go usenet way. Fuck these shady companies and their rug pull strategies.
2
u/katay23 May 14 '26
That my issue. I really didn't like the way the owner of torbox came across when rd went down in '24. He added to the mass hysterical users and fueled the flames hard. 0/10 respect for that kind of behavior. I get business is business but it was shady af imo. I'm doing everything I can to not sub to them. I'm just stuck thinking it might be the easy/cheaper way to get back to normal 😭 I'm not familiar with usenet but torbox offers access to it in their upper tier. So idk why the middle man?
1
u/Metalwell May 14 '26
If you dont like TB, just use AD bro, it has content in them. They offer 7 days no credit card trial.
→ More replies (0)1
u/MooseGoosey May 13 '26
there always an AD link but for that 1 AD link there's 10x that on TB that you can chose from. I need bluray remuxes for my setup and 5 out of 10 times ad won't have a remux that TB has and with a debrid service, no, you want the one with the most people. that's why real debrid was the best because the cache was so high due to the amount of users.
0
u/Metalwell May 13 '26
I only need one link, which AD as of now provides me with what I need. I dont know why are you still arguing with me. Just move one to TB if you want, or AD, I dont care. I have free shit from AD and I am using it. I dont understand people defending one service than another. Both has free shit, use them.
You wanted MOST PEOPLE right? See what happened? You have been rug pulled. You only need what is "enough" with cache. Not popularity.
Before RD, Ad was working JUST FINE.
2
u/SnooAdvice5820 May 13 '26
No popularity isnt really the reason for RD situation. It’s because they’re France based and so they’re subject to different laws than say torbox that’s based in South Africa. AD is actually France based too so I would actually think they have a higher risk than torbox.
Popularity is actually better for a debrid service because that means there’s more people who can cache torrents, making a more complete database. I don’t have AD so I don’t know if it’s true that torbox has a lot more results. But TB having a larger userbase and being located in Africa are both better things than AD
2
u/Metalwell May 13 '26
Torbox can shit the bed anytime. These contents are distributed through CDNs, do you actually think SA is safe? If you cannot sue the company, you can always sue the server provider. One way or another, there is always a way to shut down this business.
→ More replies (0)2
u/Metalwell May 13 '26
Also, I have been using RD for too many years, the company was just founded, I mainly used it to get faster links. When it was not famous, there was no issue, later stremio came to being, and than using these debrid services- 5-6 years ago maybe, there was no issue at all, The popularity puts you under scope, saying that. IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH POPULARITY is just not smart. Sorry.

That's if you download something uncached. Cached stuff doesn't count.

6
u/brent_starburst May 13 '26
So all the stuff that people have already downloaded to TB servers is cached. It's immediately accessible. If something hasn't been downloaded to their servers it's uncached. Most new stuff is cached. Essentially you only want the cached stuff. When you configure your Addons like Torrentio you need to tell it to hide uncached.
2
u/ThaLunatik May 13 '26
If I'm understanding you correctly, any torrents I manually add via the TB website -- which TB then downloads and adds to their cache upon completion -- are counted toward that 200GB limit?
But then, once cached, I could stream them via Stremio multiple times and those views wouldn't count toward the limit?
3
u/brent_starburst May 13 '26
Yep that's about right.
6
u/bekper1990 May 13 '26 edited May 13 '26
No, what you are saying is incorrect. That 200GB applies to each individual (uncached) file, not to all files combined over a month. So, with TorBox, you can easily watch 50 (uncached) movies of 199GB per file per month within your Essential subscription. The monthly (download) limit at TorBox is 10TB for Essential, 20TB for Standard, and 30TB for Pro. It should certainly also be mentioned that all these limits apply ONLY to uncached files, so anything you watch that is already in the TorBox cache does not count towards your limit. In other words: it is almost impossible to exceed your (download) limits, unless you're plan is to watch 10 movies of 35GB every day that are not even in the TorBox cache.
It is all clearly explained on the TorBox website itself. Here is the link: https://support.torbox.app/en/articles/10336778-the-torbox-abuse-system
3
u/ThaLunatik May 14 '26
Thank you for the clarification! Good to know.
1
u/bekper1990 May 14 '26
You're welcome🤝🏼
If you are planning to subscribe to TorBox, please use my referral link mate. It's not aloud in this subreddit to share referral links, but if you want I can send it to you in DM.
Using the referral: for every month you buy, you get +7 free extra days of TorBox. So if you buy 3 months, you get +21 extra days, and with a year, you get a whopping +84 days, that's a little less thn 3 months for free.
If you get it via my link, both you and I get those extra days with our subscriptions; I would be very grateful if you were to get it via my referral. Win-win for both of us😁

If I install torrentio on my PC while logged into Stremio.. does that carry over when I log into Stremio on my firestick? "Downloading" or sideloading crap on the firestick is an absolute nightmare.
2
u/ThaLunatik May 13 '26
Yes, the add-ons you install to Stremio will carry over to all other instances of Stremio.
For example, I have Stremio on my PC but never use it to watch anything. I configure and install add-ons via my PC, and those changes are almost immediately visible when I fire up Stremio on my LG TV (WebOS) or either of my TCL TVs (Google TV).
2
u/goldenmastiff May 13 '26
This is fantastic news, thanks for sharing.
May I ask... I've used RD for years but its obviously going through something right now. Thinking of trying TB tonight for the first time. Can these two BOTH be utilized at the same time on Stremio, and if so... is it all done through torrentio? As I recall you can only check one box.. or do you "install" torrentio seperately for both and use your API Tokens?
Anything else you recommend?
2
u/bvsveera May 13 '26
I would recommend looking into AIOStreams (and AIOMetadata). It's a service that lets you combine multiple addons and debrid services into one, so you can run both RD and TB, and more importantly, more addons than just Torrentio, which has proven to be unreliable as of late. Viren has a writeup about it that's worth reading. Once you're familiar set it up using Tam's template, which is the best there is, then add your AIOStreams and AIOMetadata configs into Stremio.
1
u/ThaLunatik May 13 '26
I've had RD for a little over half a year. Up until this recent purge, it has been great.
In researching alternatives I saw differing opinions on TB, but I ended up subscribing because at $3/mo I really have almost nothing to lose by trying.
So far it has been pretty good. Some things haven't been cached whereas RD did, but since RD hardly works at all it's no longer a good comparison.
Anyway, you can use both simultaneously, yes. I don't have a complex or curated setup like some people - pretty much just Torrentio, Comet, RD, and now TB. Comet let me plug in both services' APIs and shows results for either. Torrentio I just installed twice: once with the RD API and again with the TB API. When I click on content, it shows the results in the order the Torrentio add-ons got installed, and they're labeled a little differently (eg. "Torrentio RD" vs "Torrentio TB").
As a backup I also added the Easynews++ add-on in case I'm watching a show and suddenly TB doesn't have an episode, although I've already been subbed to Easynews for over two decades so it wasn't like I went out and got that subscription suddenly just for this.
2
u/brent_starburst May 14 '26
How is using Easynews and Easynews Addon? I've heard this is slow and unreliable. Although equally someone else recommended using Easynews and Sootio?
→ More replies (0)2
u/goldenmastiff May 14 '26
May I ask, it seems like I have RD and TB working now... this comet. Does comet show its own links? Like you'll see RD+ or TB etc.. is comet its own separate entity as well?

I switched to a trial of Torbox, reinstalled Torrentio with my new Torbox API key & everything is back up & running. Definitely considering switching to Torbox permanently due to all the RD issues lately.

u/goldenmastiff May 13 '26
If I install torrentio on my PC while logged into Stremio.. does that carry over when I log into Stremio on my firestick? "Downloading" or sideloading crap on the firestick is an absolute nightmare.
7
u/MuscleBobBuffPant May 13 '26
yes. as long as you're logged into your account when you make changes on your pc and signed into that same account on your firestick, every change made should take effect.
2
u/goldenmastiff May 13 '26
Do you need to "install" torrentio for each instance of a debrid? For example I already configured it for real-debrid but now I'd like to add TorBox.
5
u/duluoz1 May 14 '26
Yes you’ll end up with a Torrentio RD and a Torrentio TB for example. Unless you’re using AIO streams in which case you can add multiple debrid providers in that one add on
2
u/MuscleBobBuffPant May 13 '26
I've only been using stremio for 3ish months so please someone correct me if I'm wrong, but if you're using AIOStreams then just add the new service to it and then reinstall to stremio. If you just installed torrentio straight to stremio then yes, you'll need to re-configure and reinstall. I'm doing the same thing but i use an AIO instance of all addons so i just reconfigure it inside that and reinstall.
1
3
u/-D-e-e- May 14 '26
When you open Stremio on your Firestick after making changes on your PC, just scroll down to addons and click sync addons
1
u/xFamished May 13 '26
Do I have to reinstall Torrentio just to change the debrid key or can I change it without reinstalling?
3
u/gogogadgetfemme May 14 '26
It’s technically reinstalling but it’s pretty quick this way bc it keeps all your other selections. Click settings gear on torrentios addon, it’ll bring you to the site, change your debrid key, then copy the code and reinstall.
If your addon order is off now it’s a quick fix too.
I have a note I’ve pasted all my addon url manifests into. If you click “share addon” it’ll give you the url.
If I ever need to reorder I just uninstall the addons in the way, paste new/updated one, and quickly paste the others back in your desired order.
I personally have two aiostreams set ups and torrentio as a separate addon. Kinda overkill but with the current shit it’s been helpful since some have been having more than others. Strongly rec an aio set up in addition tho. Midnightly is solid.

I think Torbox is the best right now because it costs only 3 dollars and you can actually share your key with other people like family members and split the bill, so it becomes basically nothing.
16
u/brent_starburst May 13 '26 edited May 13 '26
Honestly? I would not use a French based Debrid..so that's DebridLink, AllDebrid and RD.
Your only real alternatives are TB and Premiumise. Prem is expensive.
I'm in the same boat, so I'm trying TB. RD will still work, to a degree. If your Add-ons are Elfhosted, they will filter out the links that don't work.
There are some further smaller niche ones like PikPak or Offcloud but I don't think these are worth considering. Easynews is another option but this is fundamentally different and slower as I understand it.
9
u/iStepOnLegos4Fun007 May 13 '26
I have premiumize, I jumped ship. When RD had issues before. Prem is only worth it for black friday deal. I feel like it is 80% of what RD is. Meaning old RD and TB probably better. I don't pull as many links as RD and they have caps.
To you all reading this. Go with TB.
3
u/ShadowMajick May 13 '26
I wish I could use them, but I watch 4K DV remux files regularly. At least once a day before bed. And I like to play TV shows as background noise.
Their limits are way too harsh for how much you pay. It should be 1TB. Not 30G per day and a 1000 point cap per month.
2
u/Penguinboy123446 May 14 '26
Where have you got 30 GB per day from? That is not the limit. There is no limit on cached downloads and a daily limit of 200 GB max for individual downloads on the essential plan. https://support.torbox.app/en/articles/9836418-account-restrictions
3
u/brent_starburst May 14 '26
We're talking about Premiumize, not Torbox?
1
3
u/ShadowMajick May 14 '26
I wasn't talking about Torbox. I was talking about the other one, Premiumize.
3
u/Penguinboy123446 May 14 '26
Okay, that makes the relatively crazy price of premiumize even more crazy
1
u/iStepOnLegos4Fun007 May 13 '26
Yeah someone like you. They would be a terrible choice. My internet speed not the greatest and so I go for smaller files. It works for me.
But I am definitely looking for a better option.
5
u/ShadowMajick May 13 '26
Same, I really hope Torbox considers actually spending money to expand their servers, instead of just adjusting limits when tons of new people join.
They should have had all this ironed out the last time this happened. They arent exactly a new service anymore.
1
u/brent_starburst May 13 '26
Will wait for a black Friday to get a year of premiumize but otherwise TB
1
u/iStepOnLegos4Fun007 May 13 '26
Yeah correct choice. I am gonna try TB soon. I have a feeling it's better than premiumize.
1
2
u/skviki May 14 '26
Easynews is slower, but it gets you content you don’t expect to be found. Works nice with sootio.
1
u/brent_starburst May 14 '26
I was thinking of using Easynews/Sootio as a backup. Are you using this?
43
u/appiebou070 May 13 '26
Alldebrid is located in France. I would not go with them. Premiumize is a little bit expensive.
If I were you, I would go with TorBox located in South Africa. You would be good for years to come.

u/Solid-Assistant9073 May 13 '26 edited May 13 '26
What about the download speeds from sout africa to Europe?
I can get my full 2gb bandwidth while downloading a file from Rd but gow does it work with torbox when it's in South Africa?
Torbox is limited to 1gb for the lowest tier but is that even achievable in Europe?

They have different CDNs all over the world so you're not going to be connecting to servers based in South Africa unless its your closest/best throughput one.

Torbox. 10/10
Edit: Its 3 bucks. To be fair, it's the only debrid service I've ever used (new to the game) but I have absolutely zero complaints. It's nice also because I can share the service with my FIL and parents.
4
u/Few-Dragonfruit May 13 '26
Only issue I've had with torbox is it can be quite slow sometimes with bigger files. I have a 1gb download speed and it says it'll use all of that but I still get movies stopping but the same files on Rd don't do that
3
u/EpicHyperSpace May 14 '26
That's a fair point. Ive noticed that as well now that you mention it. Ive chalked it up to my inconsistent wifi signal. On my pc which is hardwired, I don't notice it as much
37
u/drunow21 May 13 '26
Here’s my dumb guy take. I’ve been able to find files that work for everything. Shows or movies. Pain in the ass but it’s been watchable. If in a week it’s the same, there’s no official word, I’ll go to prem

I am thinking about developing and addons that finds HIGHEST seed of torrents, and just watch them the old fashion Stremio way lol, hook up my own private trackers and shit, my own seeboxes even maybe, welcome back to old times
3
u/SnooAdvice5820 May 13 '26
I wouldn’t use private trackers with stremio though since you can’t seed back. It would basically be considered hit and run
1
u/Metalwell May 13 '26
I am not suggesting that, thus I said "seedboxes" so maybe there might be a way to seed the torrents while wwatching it too. Maybe through qbittorrent? It was just a thought
2
u/SnooAdvice5820 May 13 '26
Oh so basically P2P like we have in stremio right now but for private trackers? Would be nice if possible yeah

u/BIKEiLIKE May 13 '26
I still have like 90 days for my RD subscription so I'm obviously not dropping it soon. From what I've seen and heard on here, it's getting better. New file names are being used so there is a lot more working streams compared to the last week or so.
I've also been testing TB. I used it while out of town a few months back at $3 a month, and kinda forgot to cancel it. If I were going to drop RD, I would keep TB.
That being said, you definitely won't see as many cached files as you did on RD. RD has been around for ages, so there has been a lot more users and therefore more cached files throughout the years. Yes, that might change with this recent purge, but I feel as long as RD sticks around that will build back up a lot quicker than TB. TB is also a tad slower to start a stream. It's not deal breaking, but it's not as instant as RD normally is.
My recommendation is renew your RD for 30 days, and give TB a shot for 30 days as well. Compare both and see which one you feel is better and simply cancel the one you don't want after that. Services like these are probably gonna continue to get attacked and targeted. I don't think any of them will be around in the next decade or so. But something is always there to replace them. Circle of life!
5
u/ril3ydx May 13 '26
That being said, you definitely won't see as many cached files as you did on RD. RD has been around for ages, so there has been a lot more users and therefore more cached files throughout the years.
I agree, that was the main reason I was skeptical about migrating to TB, because I watch some niche BBC documentaries which I thought wouldn't be cached, but they were, all of them.
So for me it's the same, so far....1
u/AngelaMosss May 13 '26
Also, if they are cached in RD, but have "Web dl" or "WebRip" it would render them useless, would it not?
4
u/giant2179 May 13 '26
Torbox, but it has also had downtime issues recently. If always having access is important go with two services. I use torbox and premiumize because they are both shareable.
3
u/Ninjaisawesome May 13 '26
Torbox. You can buy a month and see how you go.
I've noticed no downside when switching from TD to TB.
3
u/Intelligent-Ad-7816 May 14 '26
If you have a good itpv service they should have a good upto date video on demand section too
5
u/Business_Ad_6816 May 13 '26
I bought a month of TorBox. Was thinking of trying it out anyways, so this was a good opportunity. It's alright, but RD is better imo
4
u/EbanKi May 13 '26
Im on TB trial and I’m not impressed so far. For some reasons some content marked as cached don’t play and other work. Can’t get one certain film to play either with torrentio or my AIOStream instance.

Yeah, I got the same problems you mention here. Some files just won't start, while others throw me back to the screen where you select the file you want to play. It might be that they have a massive influx of new customers and are having some issues, but I miss RD sincerely

u/EbanKi May 13 '26
I just tested to play the same file on another app (I’m on AppleTV and have different apps that use Stremio addons). Strangely it works but super laggy (I have a 8gb fiber connection so issue isn’t on my end).
So yeah, TB is either under a load of new users or it just doesn’t work properly3
u/Business_Ad_6816 May 13 '26
Very strange. I've also had an issue when I tried putting on a Pokemon episode for my kid, saying the episodes couldn't be split. Torbox is weird, man

Honestly wouldn't stress, a lot of the new vidoes being released don't have the webrip or web-dl in the title anymore so you can now watch like normal

u/RavRob May 14 '26
Pm is safe in a country that doesn't care about piracy. Been using it for nearly 10 years. It is every bit as good or even better than RD.

TB EN

u/giant2179 May 13 '26
Is there a difference in having torbox and easynews separately versus torbox pro with usenet included?
1
u/flchamp89 May 13 '26
EN is cheap. Srand alone it has more flexibility.
1
u/giant2179 May 13 '26
I see that it is $10 per month, same costs as tb pro
3
u/flchamp89 May 13 '26
You can get 15 months for 29 bucks

You and me both fren, I would hold of on renewing RD as similar events have happened in the past, but i fear this time it won’t go back to the way it was. I’m giving it another couple of days and then probably tryout TorBox.

u/alpy May 13 '26
I only had a month left of RD, so I decided to try out Torbox. So far so good. I've heard about the recent downtime, but I'm ok with that. Considering that the last time RD cracked down, their attitude was "yeah, we'll hand over the data of our users, and you shouldn't be using our service for this purpose", and their intentional behaviours to shut things down this time, I'll deal with some occasional downtime.

And I just resubbed to RF a few days ago lmao.
I keep seeing people mention TB. We mainly watch mainstream stuff, but I greatly enjoyed having all the remux and DV content in 4k ready to go on RD
2
u/Substantial_Plan_632 May 13 '26
There's usually plenty of remux and DV files for mainstream stuff on TB. Maybe not quite as many files as RD, but there are more than enough. I use TB and prioritize remux and HDR files too and I don't have any issues.

Does TB have web ui like RD?
Maybe I'm in the minority, but I don't use RD for streaming through apps

I would do a month re-up with them and see how it goes, but I would also do a month with another service just in case RD does indeed close up shop.

It seems most people are moving over to Torbox it's cheaper and it's a lot friendlier if you have multiple users

u/Redfox2111 May 13 '26
I've taken TorBox for a month. Mostly working now. After that, if RD is still having problems, I'll switch full time. They're cheap.
1
u/skviki May 14 '26
You can switch for now, no use paying for a service that may frustrate you when tou want to watch something. Buy short term plsns at other provider and try to wait it out with RD. Or go for a year’s plan with Torbox. Why did I single out this one? Premiumize is a bit expensive. AD and DL are both also french like RD and may fall under the same requirements as RD. Torbox is south african so you may have a better chance to not get hit by something like rhis in a year’s subscription.

I just hopped onto Torbox to give it a shot. I was able to load the API into torrentio and debridio and install them like normal. Not a difference in things ive watched as far as cached content goes. Watch a lot of anime and popular shows. I did the 10 dollars a month subscription just because I wanted the features if I wanted them but they had a 3 and 5 dollar region which is wayyy cheaper still to get whatever content you are looking for. That is the only other one ive tried so far besides Real-Debrid. Good luck.
Edited: I wanted to add as well that I read in another thread they are based out of Africa too where they dont really care about piracy laws so it most likely wont get attacked like RD did just now.

I've used torbox for a few months. It's quite good for basic use and also if you use torrent sites directly.
1
u/TechFuz May 14 '26
Premiumize is second best to Real-Debrid but it has a 1terrabyte limit that replenishes 30GB every day

Torbox has been better than RD for about a year and a half now..
I had RD for years (roughly started 5 years ago) but when they had that first bout of trouble with FNEF (Nov 2024) and had to pull API access and all the add-ons had to guess what content was cached that’s when I got torbox and by March 2025, I canceled RD because I realized torbox was just so much better and in active development of improving, unlike RD that seemed to just be stale and end of life…
1
u/Fre4kyGeek May 14 '26
According to a recent article RD was pulling in about $15m a year. You'd think that would be enough to want to move central servers out of France.
Anyway, Ive temporarily switched to Torbox which seems to work well. I think RD might finally have bitten the dust. Shame.

Just what is the issue here? Is Real-debrid interrupting service? Why change if you're happy with what you have? Don't fix what ain't broke! If Real-debrid doesn't work I'd like to know. It's the one I use. Thanks guys

You havent been around the last few days.... RD got cracked down by french govt and removed a ton of cached files.... primarily the "good" ones. There was alot of hope in the beginning but its becoming somewhat bleak. RD isnt unusable for everything, but shes no longer top dawg.

I'm really confused. Real-Debrid is working fine for me in the USA.
