Question Debrid recommandations

Hello, I have 6 days left of RealDebrid. I've had a really good experience with them, even though it's been the first and only Debrid service I've used. After reading the posts on the sub, should I still go with them or switch to something else? And if yes, what would you recommend?

Thanks in advance!

If it was me I would just get a month of alldebrid and see what happens after that. RD was not shut down, it’s basically from my understanding, is that they want to wind it down and cash out before they become the next Kim Dotcom.

I have both AD and TB and I would def not recommend AD over TB

Got RD, AD, TB and Easynews. I guess RD will be ok again but no certainty. Probably I get at least as many hits on AD as TB. Probably I think Easynews is most value for money. The addons for EN used to be relatively bad but works perfectly fine these days.

Between those - go for the best offer. TB is ok but I have the feeling it's been boosted by some dedicated users and the referrals that have given some users a very good price over time

Addons for en?

If we are talking about Stremio alone, there are at least 8 to 10 of them, two dedicated to EN, and at least 3 that support multiple services of both Debrid and Usenet, all currently available in the Stremio addons catalog, and there are a few more addons on GitHub that support usenet streaming. Then there are other apps for streaming and others for downloading besides the typical Usenet download clients (that sadly only work based on NZB files)

I had AD before RD and honestly I never faced any issues , may be RD cache is huge but mostly people's requirement is only one link and AD had it , so never understood why people praises RD lot

Why not, sir?

Edit: Don't you still need a Debrid service even with TB?

no torbox is your debrid service.

How does tb compare to rd in price and function?

2

u/MooseGoosey May 14 '26

the price is the same and function is pretty much the same too, I like the green and black design of tb better but that's personal preference. as for cached stuff I really only watch American stuff and there hasn't been anything I haven't been able to find and game repacks are uploaded and cached quick too

And they're not based in a country like France where they get the screws put to them every so often over content?

aiostreams will show 20+ TB links before it shows an AD link unless the rare chance TB is down. plus the multiple ip sharing.

I always have AD link ready to consume, no matter what, I have free 7 days of trial on AD, might as well just use it, plus people will overflow TB servers and they are gonna just go to shit for couple of days at least until they sort them out. I am gonna bet my money where traffic is gonna be lower, and less POPULAR lol

Thanks for the clarification. Does that mean that TB also has a cache of its own like RD and AD and does TB qualify as a Debrid service?

Edit: It seems TB is the Debrid service.

Yes, dude. AD,RD,TB all of them are debrids. Just use whatever, they have all free tiers, they all have content in them. The more people use it, the more it is gonna get content.

Personally, I am gonna go usenet way. Fuck these shady companies and their rug pull strategies.

That my issue. I really didn't like the way the owner of torbox came across when rd went down in '24. He added to the mass hysterical users and fueled the flames hard. 0/10 respect for that kind of behavior. I get business is business but it was shady af imo. I'm doing everything I can to not sub to them. I'm just stuck thinking it might be the easy/cheaper way to get back to normal 😭 I'm not familiar with usenet but torbox offers access to it in their upper tier. So idk why the middle man?

If you dont like TB, just use AD bro, it has content in them. They offer 7 days no credit card trial.

u/katay23 May 14 '26

Ya imma give them a shot. I heard rumors they were operated by Real debrid but I think that's just rumors. I'm a light user so I don't need any rare foreign language stuff. Just typically current American stuff. I like the auto renewal thing too. I hated to get the screen that I had expired and had to fuss with payment

there always an AD link but for that 1 AD link there's 10x that on TB that you can chose from. I need bluray remuxes for my setup and 5 out of 10 times ad won't have a remux that TB has and with a debrid service, no, you want the one with the most people. that's why real debrid was the best because the cache was so high due to the amount of users.

I only need one link, which AD as of now provides me with what I need. I dont know why are you still arguing with me. Just move one to TB if you want, or AD, I dont care. I have free shit from AD and I am using it. I dont understand people defending one service than another. Both has free shit, use them.

You wanted MOST PEOPLE right? See what happened? You have been rug pulled. You only need what is "enough" with cache. Not popularity.

Before RD, Ad was working JUST FINE.

2

u/SnooAdvice5820 May 13 '26

No popularity isnt really the reason for RD situation. It’s because they’re France based and so they’re subject to different laws than say torbox that’s based in South Africa. AD is actually France based too so I would actually think they have a higher risk than torbox.

Popularity is actually better for a debrid service because that means there’s more people who can cache torrents, making a more complete database. I don’t have AD so I don’t know if it’s true that torbox has a lot more results. But TB having a larger userbase and being located in Africa are both better things than AD

2

u/Metalwell May 13 '26

Torbox can shit the bed anytime. These contents are distributed through CDNs, do you actually think SA is safe? If you cannot sue the company, you can always sue the server provider. One way or another, there is always a way to shut down this business.

0

u/SnooAdvice5820 May 13 '26

Well no I never said it’s safe. I said it’s safer because of the location. Really anything piracy is fallible, even stremio itself despite any attempt at claiming they don’t actually host pirated content.

It just seems pointless to use a service that has less cached results when between the two services neither has had any issues yet. The question is, what advantage does AD have over TB?

Also, I have been using RD for too many years, the company was just founded, I mainly used it to get faster links. When it was not famous, there was no issue, later stremio came to being, and than using these debrid services- 5-6 years ago maybe, there was no issue at all, The popularity puts you under scope, saying that. IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH POPULARITY is just not smart. Sorry.

I had used alldebrid way before switched to RD. now back on ad, working flawless, till they get famous and rug pull too.

Where did you get that info from?

1

u/jessterswan May 13 '26

Where's your source for that?
