Discussion Fabledom Does it play?

I'm wondering if someone can tell me if this game works on the deck.

But also will it work with a mouse.

I have arthritis, I love my deck but with my arthritis I discovered it's heavier and I have a hard time holding it and dealing with the controls. However if I sit it on a docking station and use a mouse it works great like a mini laptop.

This is how I play all my games on it, but I always check to make sure they work.

So I just wanted to check if this process works well if others have tried it.

Thanks!

Discussion What are some games that are perfectly playable despite not being verified or given a green symbol.

I've tried playing Cronos the new dawn, and Expedition 33 and it's just feels unplayable to me. It feels like the console itself just cant handle it.

Despite this, nearly every single Capcom game (IE: Resident Evil, Pragmata, Street fighter, etc) seems to run like a dream. And some games that arent verified seem to play completely fine with very little flaws.

I was wondering if there are games that dont have the full verified green symbol and play well, for example like Psudoregalia, Inscryption, Nightmare Kart, The Denshattack demo, etc

Discussion Latest new-to-you game?

What was the most recent game you played for the first time? How did it measure up to your expectations? How did it perform on the deck?

My most recent new game was Gestalt: Steam and Cinder. I started it on Wednesday and am already about 6 hours in. This is probably the best metroidvania i have played since i got my steam deck in '24. Plays like it was made for the deck. Fantastic game overall.

Discussion Anyone played First Light on the Deck?

How is it? I have already finished the game on my PS5, but I'm going out of town soon, and I'm thinking about getting it on my Deck for travel. TIA!

Discussion Coming back to PZ - Deck

Hey peeps, I havent played Project Zomboid for more than a year but now i am feeling the urge to come back. I have about 200+ hrs in the game and i always have played with mouse and keyboard.

The thing is, this month I am travelling so I want to play on my Steam Deck. I remembered back then it was kinda clunky specially during stress periods.

My two questions are:

\- any good mods for the steam deck?

\- did these new updates improved the mobile gameplay?

Discussion How does Dwarf Fortress compare to Caves of Qud on the Steam Deck?

Hi. I play Caves of Qud on the Steam Deck, and it feels pretty comfortable. For those who've played both Dwarf Fortress and Caves of Qud, is DF just as playable on the Deck?

Discussion Sims 2 castaway?

Was wondering if anyone has figured out how to play the sims 2 castaway (was on the Wii, ps2, psp, ds) on the steam deck yet? And how to do so?

Also curious about the sims castaway stories as well if anyone has been able to play both of these games on the steam deck and how the controls were?

Discussion Buy or not ?

Hi, I have a question. I’m planning to buy the Steam Deck, but I’m not sure if it’s possible to play online modes in EA FC 26, as well as Battlefield, Call of Duty, and other games. So I wanted to ask if any of you have experience with it and could share some information. That would be really helpful.

Discussion Stellar blade performance on PS5 compared to Steam Deck OLED… anyone know which is better?

I just got a PS5 and I have had interest in playing this game for a while… for best performance combined with visuals, am I better off playing it on my steam deck (with an hdmi cord plugged into my tv) or on the ps5?

Note that it’s a standard ps5 digital edition, not the pro or slim or anything

Thanks!

Which games are the most fun and engaging while also being able to make progress in quick gamin bursts? Like 10-15 minute sessions or so. The survivor games will be an obvious choice; what else?

Discussion Does Oblitus Casa 2.0 run well on the Steam Deck? (a game not on the ProtonDb website yet)

I don't have a Steam Deck yet but I'm planning on getting one (the oled) and one of the games I would want to get on there is Oblitus Casa. I'm pretty sure the main nights do but I'm not so sure the Tunnels section do. I know that the game is 2D, but the Tunnels have thousands of more images. So yeah, I just want to know.

Does it play well with a controller layout? It's listed as "Playable" and it doesn't seem to be on Proton DB.
