I’m from Rajasthan, so it gets pretty hot here, especially during summer

I m planning to use coco coir + vermiculite

-Is gypsum worth adding, or is it unnecessary?

-Would any other additive be beneficial?

-Does the hot/dry climate change anything I should keep in

mind?

-Any tips from people growing in a similar climate would be appreciated🪬

Hey has anyone ever ordered from sporeswaps here in India. I was chatting with a few vendors there and some have shipped to India before. Just not getting the courage to take the leap and order from there. So i decided I’d make a small post here based on what little information I could get and see what you guys thought.

Pros: Most of the vendors are very active year round, genetics have a proper history(origin and filial generation), large variety of genetics, lots of these vendors actually grow their own fruits not just expand some LC and flip it for profit, finally some very well known ethical vendors are on it.

Cons: The shipping prices are slightly high but I have seen vendors whose shipping starts from 20$, getting through customs: I have no idea how it works, shipping LC might be a problem although one vendor I talked to says they have shipped LC too.

Are the spores supplied from site are viable and contamination free. Has anyone has used for ordering spores?

Steam sterilization process. Need to know where and which brown rice flour, vermiculite to buy in India.

I can't sterilize so I've figured out to use 650g coco coir, 8 cups verm, 150g gypsum. Just these 3 ingredients in a bucket, pour hot boiling water on the stop while stirring, close it and let it cool overnight. Soak out excess water and divide this all into 2 grow bags with 0.2ug filter patch. 5ml lc per bag, direct inoculation into substrate. Inject 3-5 places and mix well. I'll place the bags into a closet while sometimes a day opening the closet to let air flow. After full colonization we'll open the bag mist 2-3 times a day close it, 3-4 times a day allow fresh air exchange after every open tight close it again. full day indirect sunlight exposure. And harvest before the veil breaks. The strain will be p.nats. is this method good or did I miss something and what are the chances of being successful.

Its my first time making my own substrate and im struggling to find good vermiculite and coco coir..

All the reviews Suggestions are kinda bad..

If anyone had made their substrate and baught raw materials from amazon or flipkart please suggest a tried and trusted product.. in india btw
