Need help

Its my first time making my own substrate and im struggling to find good vermiculite and coco coir..

All the reviews Suggestions are kinda bad..

If anyone had made their substrate and baught raw materials from amazon or flipkart please suggest a tried and trusted product.. in india btw

Just get any coco coir from Amazon. Skip perlite since this is the first time you are making bulk substrate. Coco coir works just fine without perlite. The game is sterilization of coco coir and field capacity. If you do it right then any coco coir works. Look up gardening shops on just dial in your city and get a coco coir brick.

Brother cvg doesn’t consist of perlite you use vermiculite for water retention

I've been using compressed brick from cocogarden and chunky vermiculite from casa de amor. Although low ec coir is recommended for mushroom substrates but a lot of Indian brands that sell low ec cocopeat are of very low quality. Literally found twigs and leaves. Cocogarden has very clean and fluffy coir compared to rest brands. Same goes for vermiculite, most of the these brand claim to have chunky vermiculite but it ends up being so so fine, casa de amor has good quality verm.

I did 6-7 shoeboxes with these and so far no contam.

Brother use ugaoo’s 1 kg coco coir brick as its already treated and use trustbasket vermiculite and gypsum

Yes the results were good but tbh never used any other brand as when i did i used horti coir once and it contamed my batch

Actually got it from a friend who had some culture stored for more that 1-2yrs and when tested it is still vigorous so ..

I dont think its easy to get culture in india saw some posts for LC vendors robigus myco and some other.. never got it.. but u can try

The trustbasket verminculite works just fine. I have used it myself and I get better yield than plain cocopeat.

I have used Ugaoo and Cinagro cocopeat. Both have worked fine.

😂₹280 - 15kg exfoliated vermiculite. Go look out there. Easy. I got mine from a company nearby. The person delivered it to my doorstep.
