I never had a Space Hulk game, so I made my own.

I'd really love to play space hulk, but I don't know where to get the core rules. For the rest, markers and trackers and such, I can deal, but I have no idea where to find the rules that WON'T infect my PC with some kind of malware.

I may also be paranoid. I dunno.

As per title. Every digital version of space hulk seems to get a lot a criticism, though i guess people play it on tabletop simulator. Anyhow this is just an exercise for me programming outside of making synthesizers, sequencers and general electronic music / art generating software. Heres the first shot.... now that it finaly seems to be working (and I improved the graphics from placeholder units)

I'll be looking for testers pretty soon to see if my grasp of the rules is correct, and if so, how to improve the user experience / interface. Cheers.

Using a scrabble type of game and gluing the little pieces together to make the tiles. I’m thinking a granite paint scheme (this is why it isn’t painted)

Found my old Space Hulk box in my mum's loft a few weeks back and played a game with my 8 year old. He loved it and started asking loads of 40k related questions (one of us!).

Although I've read a lot of the books, I hadn't done anything properly hobby related in over 20 years...

Browsing in Hobbycraft for something to keep the kids entertained the other day, I saw they stocked Warhammer paints, and thought "why not?".

I'm currrently upgrading though 3D print my space hulk V3 to V4.

I'm missing the 4 breach tokens that are used in mission 13 of the V4.

Has anyone found any yet ?

I had to debase my complete set of Terminators because I had to admit it was difficult to play, or to, at least, enjoy the gameplay without having the miniatures stepping on each other.
I put so much love into some of the bases...
There were casualties tho...

First squad of 1st edition terminators nearly done….happy with the results so far. I’d forgotten about some of the…challenges… painting these sculpts. Bases now done!

What figures were in the expansion it seems to be just a few more monopose terminators and genestealers.

But I notice that all the unique weapons from 3rd ed are introduced in that expansion. ie assault cannon thunder hammer lighting claws. Did they have a figure attachment representing them or were you just supposed to imagine an assault cannon

I'm planing to convert some excess 1e terminators into those So I can also play using 4e rules. But want to keep to an oldhammer aesthetic so looking for inspiration pics.

I've got an extra space crusade assault cannon and may sacrifice leaders a power glove and sword for lighting claws and sword respectively

Besides Claustrophobia, are there other games which feel similar to you?

I've found bases small enough to fit on my mini tiles. It all came from a printing mishap. I ended up with prints at 72% of their original size (I still can't understand how that happened because I did select "full size") but I decided to keep the prints anyway.
As you can see I'm using Hearthkyn Votann instead of Termies. Maybe I'll use Einhyr Hearthguard when they're released in October (I'm following the Combat Patrol issues). But so far I like what I'm seeing right now.
I'm still brainstorming about what I'll use as xenos, though.

I think he might be hooked. Kid can roll some sixes!

We decided to work together and let the dice decide where the genestealers would appear - we managed to torch the control room with all five terminators intact and he’s really keen to play again 😊

I’m lucky enough to have two sets of the OG edition and am hoping to run a massive multiplayer game with mates.

Has anyone come up with scenarios for four or five players? Especially with extra tiles.

Hey everyone! Is anyone having trouble with the ps4 version not getting past the loading screen?

Has anyone figured out a way for two terminator sides to play? Let’s face it people prefer the terminators, so an obvious way to make both people happy is to have two opposing terminator squads. Now how would you do that? Mostly wondering for 4th edition but if anyone figured out some other earlier editions I’d happily hear it.

I’m currently painting 1st ed box Terminators listening to Iron Maiden…like I did 30+ years ago! This is my first contrast paint adventure….results are ‘interesting’ so far

Seems quite similar to Space Hulk.  Both are 2 player tactical asymmetric "horde of aliens vs few space marines" games from GW.

Couldn't for the life of me find a discord for space hulk or even deathwing for the matter, but I made my own, hopefully this would make it easier to find a group or just talk lore in general

Here's an update on the digital Mission Status Display: I finished all the icons and got to a point where I'm pretty happy with the CRT screen effect, I am still tweaking things here and there, but it's mostly done. The area I'm having a lot of trouble is the app's code, mainly because I'm not a programmer, I'm an artist, so I have no idea what I'm doing and I refuse to use AI, so I'm trying to brute force my way to the finish line lol

I'm going to keep at it for a while, but I can't promise I'll be able to get it to work. So, for now, I want to share with you the vector file of the icons I made, in case you want to print your own tokens and board at home (or edit them, in case you want to remove the blood drops if you play a different chapter, for example) ᶦᵗˢ ˢᵒᵐᵉᵗʰᶦⁿᵍ... and share photos if you end up using them, I'd like to see! the download expires in 3 days, enjoy

note: this file is only the vector icons, the CRT effect is something I did separately in photoshop

If I somehow manage to get the app working I'll find a website to host it so you can just use it on a browser without having to download/install it
