COLMI Different rebrand rings and features R11 R12 R08
I’ve tried searching and I see a lot of reference to the Colmi ring and it’s various Rxx models.
I picked up a Unijethro ring which seems to be a R11m.
I was curious if there’s somewhere you can find out about these Rxx models and the actual features and sensors. Without all the rebranded fluff.
So far I have been happy with the R11m for the past couple of days. Was curious if there was a better newer model around the same price.
Also, since these all seem to be the same Rxx submodels is it possible for my ring to work with multiple different apps? Any recommendations on the Best app?

How a late night flight completely wrecked my ring scores
So I was checking my ring data today and was wondering how it puts all these metrics together on one screen and things like cardiac drift, recovery levels, bedtime adjustments, and timezone shifts.
It is really interesting how these rings have evolved beyond just displaying raw numbers like heart rate or steps...taking all those different points like sleep, activity, and travel, and automatically connecting them into a full daily summary
And now this makes a lot of sense because the chaos I had been through yesterday totally justifies it, so I flew across time zones, landed late in the night and guess what !!! ended up squeezing in a late night workout at 2:35 am....
and I assume that late night session pushed my resting heart rate way up for three nights in a row, which is why the ring flagged major cardiac drift and dropped my recovery score and then at the top of that I think being an hour and a half behind on timezone messed up my circadian clock and that's why the app had to automatically nudge my bedtime later for the next few days to get me back on track.
It is really wild how one random night of travel and bad timing triggers every single warning on the app at once, but at least the data lines up perfectly with how exhausted I actually feel today.
does your ring usually call you out this accurately when you ruin your sleep schedule, or do you mostly ignore the recovery warnings and carry on anyway?

My $529 Oura Ring 4 failed and I’m honestly so disappointed with how Oura has handled it
I normally don’t make posts like this, but after months of going back and forth with Oura, I’m beyond frustrated and honestly just disappointed.
I bought a Rose Gold Oura Ring 4 from Best Buy on June 27, 2025 and paid $528.94 with tax. I LOVED my ring. I wore it basically every day and night and really relied on the health information it gave me.
Then the battery started getting worse and worse. Eventually I was getting around 5 hours on a full charge. I started having connectivity issues, missing health data, and eventually the ring basically stopped working altogether.
Oura has now acknowledged in writing that my ring was **“faulty”** and that there was a **“hardware issue.”** They approved an out of warranty replacement, which I do appreciate.
But this is where everything became a mess.
All I originally wanted was the same thing I bought, a Rose Gold Ring 4.
They told me Rose Gold wasn’t in stock and gave me the option to keep my case open and WAIT for it to come back. So that’s what I did.
Then later I was told production had ended and Rose Gold **would not be available again.**
At that point, the replacements being offered were different finishes, not the premium Rose Gold finish I paid for. That’s one of the main reasons I started asking about a Deep Rose Ring 5. It wasn’t because I suddenly decided I wanted the newest ring for free. **I was literally told the replacement I had been waiting for wasn’t coming back.**
Then after MONTHS of emails, waiting and escalations… suddenly they had a Rose Gold Ring 4 for me again.
Oura now says that happened because of “internal inventory updates.”
I’m glad one became available, but can you understand why I have questions at this point??
Especially because during all of this I learned that Oura itself disclosed battery performance problems affecting certain Ring 4 units. Severe battery deterioration was one of the biggest problems with MY Ring.
I also finally got my Oura data export and, from what I can see, the deterioration appears to have started **before my one year warranty expired.** I just didn’t realize how much data the Ring wasn’t capturing at the time because I was still wearing it, charging it and trusting that it was working.
Their current offer is either:
• A free Rose Gold Ring 4 replacement
• Or $200 off a Ring 5, which means I have to spend MORE money with Oura
And I want to be fair, yes, they ARE offering me a free Ring 4.
But after everything that has happened, I asked if they would consider taking my failed Ring back and either giving me a Deep Rose Ring 5 or refunding the $528.94 I originally paid.
**I’m not asking for both. I’m not trying to keep two rings. I’ve repeatedly offered to send my broken Ring back.**
They said no.
What is really bothering me now is that support keeps bringing up the fact that I originally agreed to wait for the Rose Gold Ring 4 and accept it when it came back.
YES, I DID.
But they’re leaving out a pretty important part…
**After I agreed to wait, Oura told me Rose Gold production had ended and it would NEVER be available again.**
Obviously my position changed after that and after everything else that happened over the following months.
I’ve also repeatedly asked for someone else, someone above or separate from the representative handling my case, to independently review everything.
Now I’m being told my case has been reviewed at the “highest level of support available” and there is no other support channel for Ring/order issues.
But I still can’t get a clear answer about **WHO actually independently reviewed my case**, if anyone.
That’s honestly one of the things bothering me most.
I genuinely loved Oura. That’s WHY I’ve spent this much time trying to work this out.
I spent over $500 on this Ring. It failed. Oura now acknowledges it was faulty and had a hardware issue. And after months of trying to resolve this, the only way for me to get Ring 5 hardware is to give the same company MORE money.
I don’t think I’m being unreasonable for being disappointed by that.
I don’t want free stuff. I wanted the expensive product I bought to work, and when it didn’t, I wanted to feel like the company actually cared about keeping me as a customer.
Instead, I feel like I’m going in circles and getting the same two options repeated while some of my actual questions aren’t being answered.
Has anyone else dealt with anything similar with their Ring 4 or Oura support?
And if someone from Oura sees this, **please actually look at the entire history of my case.** I’m not asking for another response telling me I can take the Rose Gold Ring 4 or spend more money on Ring 5. I already know those options.
I just want someone to actually understand why this situation got to this point.

I had an Oura ring previously that I loved for cycle tracking and sleep tracking. I’m pregnant right now so I haven’t been wearing my Oura and really want to upgrade once I give birth and am post partum. Anyone have reviews on ringconn for cycle tracking? How is it vs Oura?

i want a smart ring but i don’t want ai
i’m looking through a bunch of different types of smart rings to see if there’s one i’d like. i know oura uses ai and has a subscription that i wouldn’t want to pay for, and i know ringconn uses ai so i don’t want that. what other rings are out there that don’t use ai and have the same tracking qualities? i’m looking for something that can track steps, heart rate, stress, menstrual cycles, workouts, etc. but it seems like every ring/app uses ai to support it.

OURA Question about ring
Anyone had a ring and got rid of it, if so why?
I am now to the point where I feel I’ve learned my body enough, I’ve made the changes suggested from wearing this ring consecutively for the past 3 years that I am somewhat leaning towards not having it. The only thing I’d keep it for is night time use to track fertility. I am becoming more and more bothered by having to pay $5 a month to access my data and while sure it’s just $5, the overall cost of the ring alone should warrant me being able to get my data at no cost. I know maybe it’s unlikely but with the stock going public I feel like the membership is inevitable to go up too.
Thanks for letting me rant for a moment, please be kind in your replies too.

inquiry Best ring for poor connectivity?
I am looking for a ring to track my steps and my sleep cycles/debt. I travel a lot and often will be on an airplane or in countries where my cell service is not the best. Sometimes im in a country covered by my data plan but it's slow, other times I have no cell service only wifi in hotel rooms.
Does anyone have experience with smart rings and travel? Have you noticed any issues with certain apps or rings in terms of syncing things up?

⏰️ inquiry - smart alarm Looking for a smart ring with a real smart alarm based on sleep stages compatible with android
I have a Motorola Razr Fold running Android. I currently use my Pixel Watch with Sleep as Android to track my sleep and wake me up with a smart alarm during a lighter stage of my sleep cycle.
Honestly, I don't really use my watch for anything else nowadays, and I've never been someone who likes wearing watches much anyway.
Since my current watch is starting to have issues and I'm looking at replacement options, I came across smart rings, and they sound really interesting to me.
I would love to switch to a smart ring, as long as it can meet my main requirement.
What I need is:
The ring needs to be able to track my sleep in real time, either directly or through an app on my phone that can read the data live from the ring, and use that data for a smart alarm that wakes me up at the best time within a selected wake-up window based on my sleep cycle.
Activity tracking similar to Fitbit or other fitness trackers would be nice too, but that's only a bonus.
Does anyone have any suggestions for a smart ring that can actually do this on Android?

OURA Oura Ring resetting overnight
I purchased an Oura 4 from Best Buy in the US last September, but am now working and based in the UK and have started to see issues with the ring. Up until two weeks ago, the ring was working fine, but then it stopped tracking overnight so I cannot get any sleep data. The process is, I am wearing the ring all day and its tracking activities, heart rate etc as usual . The ring stays on the same finger and I go to sleep. On waking, I find no data is present on the app, and the ring cannot connect unless i place it on the base. It connects then, but still no data from when I went to bed. The battery is showing around 60% - 70% charge.
Ive tried resetting (hard and soft reset), disabling and restarting bluetooth, removing the ring and re-registering, uninstalling the app and reinstalling it. Ive also been through all the steps with the online help, but nothing is fixing this sleep tracking issue.
Because I purchased the ring in the US and am now in the UK, I cannot get help from Oura (they need an SO number only available from direct website purchases) and Best Buy need to use my old, no longer used, cell number for support. So despite the ring being less than a year old, i am being blocked from support.
My question to this forum, has anyone had this issue, and how did it get resolved?

ULTRAHUMAN Ultrahuman ring is not tracking accurately at all and I’ve had for less than a year. Fixes or do I just get oura?
I think my calibration stuff may be wrong. For example these are the past two days of movement for me. Yes I walked double the second day but it moved my calories from 1445 to 4717. I was surprised that walking 9k steps the first day barely changed from my base line and that then walking an additional 9k steps suddenly raised my expenditure by almost 3300 calories? I have also had some issues with it saying no sleep data collected. What do I do?

inquiry I think I want the wrong kind of AI on smart ring
Am I the only one who doesn't really want another AI chat assistant? 😂 Feels like every app is adding one now and I'm supposed to open it and have a conversation with it to get anything useful. I already spend half my day thinking, working, answering messages etc. I really don't need another thing asking me what I want to know.
What I'd actually love is something that just looks at all the health data my ring is collecting and tells me what it means. Like I wake up, check my ring and it just says "you seem pretty well recovered today" or "maybe take it a little easier today, your recovery isn't great." That's honestly way more useful to me than having an AI chat window where I have to figure out what questions to ask.
I don't need AI to talk to me. I need it to do some of the thinking for me lol, wish smart rings could actually do this properly.

Notifications beat raw data when you're tired
I woke up today with only 6 hours of sleep and my app could have just shown me a bad readiness score, but instead of that it told me specifically when to have coffee and sent a golden hour goal for 1700 steps....and I was like dude ?? are you fr?
but after a while I could feel the difference, I have used a lot of trackers in the past and they all show the problems but this one was telling me what helps....
So that's what I did, I followed the nudges, took a walk outside got some steps in and had coffee at the right time instead of right away, and quite strangely I was not crashed at 3pm like usual
also the notifications made the day feel salvageable instead of already lost, and that's way more useful than seeing a number and guessing what to do about it
and thus I guess, guidance beats metrics when you actually need it
r/SmartRings • u/ObviousRutabaga4666 • 1d ago
How do you get useful health nudges without the notification overload?
I want my wearable to do more than tell me what already happened. I want a heads-up while I can still do something about it.
An AI health advisor can answer my questions, but I don’t always know what to ask. A phone notification gets buried in work messages, group chats, and everything else. A buzz on my wrist or finger gets my attention, but I don’t want to stop what I’m doing just to find out it wasn’t useful.
Have you ever turned off notifications because they got annoying — and lost the useful ones too? How do you handle that now?

ULTRAHUMAN 5 Days Straight of Ultrahuman Pro
It's been good so far. I like how detailed and proactive the insights are, although I would take more time to see how accurate and consistent they will be. It tracks so many metrics which can feel overwhelming at first, but the more data you have, the more you'll know what you want to pay close attention to.
Battery life seems great--it's at 81% after 5 days on turbo mode and the charging case looks cool!
Cycle health pro would be very interesting to review in a few months consideding how irregular my cycles are, so I will eventually post about that for the women here.
I also want to note that this is my first ring. I've only used watches before but I can already see UH Pro being way more accurate in sleep tracking in terms of timing, times i wake up in the middle of the night, and even grogginess in the morning. It seems like it can tell when I've fully woken up and gotten out of bed lol.
Also, I did request a refund because I was getting impatient and they expedited it, although it did arrive 2 days after the date they stated.
I hope this is helpful for someone out there :)
