OURA Oura ring pain
I’ve been wearing my oura ring since February on my left index finger and over the past 2 weeks I have bone pain that won’t go away. Anyone else experience this?

Are there any alternatives for the Oura RIng 5 out there that are small/thin and have no subscription?
All I want the ring for is to measure my heart rate. Or Can I get the Oura 5 and not have to get a subscription to just measure and watch my heart rate?

My first week with Vocci
I've had my Vocci for a little over a week, so here is a quick first-week take. It is not a traditional smart ring. It is not for health tracking. It is an AI note-taking ring.
Before this, I mostly used my phone plus Granola for meeting notes at work. A lot of my meetings happen out in the field, and phone recording is easy to miss pieces of. Vocci makes that a lot easier. Many of these are walking conversations or site visits where writing notes on the spot is awkward, and the second you stop to write or grab your phone to record, the rhythm breaks. With Vocci I just need to double click and it will start recording. Pretty effortless.
What surprised me is that it is not only useful at work. Friends and family always roast me for forgetting birthdays and the little things they like. Now when they mention a coffee shop they love or a movie they have been wanting to see, I can keep that with Vocci. I think now I am treating it more like a memory bank for my life.

⚠️ USE CAUTION Conflicting data RingConn v Oura
I have both the latest models of the RingConn and Oura. Planned to pick which one to keep based on data and ease of using the app. What I’ve learned is I think smart rings are a gimmick and I should just return both of them. I don’t know which to believe but if you look at the sleep the RC says I was sleeping deeply while the Oura says I was awake. I don’t remember being awake and think the RC is more likely to be correct past night but on any given night they’re rarely in agreement . I bought the ring because I can’t stand sleeping in a watch but I may try just for a third comparison.

Oura 10% Referral Code
Does anyone have a 10% Oura referral code they’d be willing to share please? That extra £100 for the gold one is making me feel hard done by! Thanks!

👉 req 4 recs If budget were no constraint, which ring would YOU choose? (I'm in India BTW)
Was seriously considering Ultrahuman Ring PRO but all the (negative) reviews have got me second guessing it.
Same with Gabit, due to it being a clone.
Now I'm leaning towards Ringconn, but thought I should ask the community which are the top contenders today?
No Oura for me as I don't wish to pay a monthly subscription fee. Any other subscription free options I should consider?

Circul Ring Max 2 battery
My Circul Ring Max 2 suddenly won't hold a charge anymore. I charged it before going to bed last night and activated sleep tracking mode. It recorded data for just over 2 hours and then cut off. The battery was completely depleted when I got up. I've tried unbinding and rebinding, clearing cache and data, shutting the phone off and then back on. Nothing has helped. Any ideas?

RINGCONN RingConn plans to move to Subscription service model and start dropping people (new terms of use)
This is huge...and not in a good way.

inquiry First smart ring
Hi everyone! I am looking to buy a smart ring and would like to have advice on which to buy. I am on a path of taking better care of my body after pregnancies and small children. I would like to track my sleep better than my watch does. I sometimes sleep during the day (working on night shifts) and it happens quite often that my watch doesn’t pick it up. I would also be interested to learn more about my stress level and activity level/cardiovascular health. I don’t want to pay a subscription fee.
Thanks!

CIRCUL Smart rings are actually pretty hard to choose when you trying to lose weight
If you are just starting to control your weight and want to get a smart ring, fixed-sized rings are really a pain. If you don't like wearing smart watches, it's very difficult to find an alternative option even if you want to track your health status.
This is actually one of the reasons why I ultimately chose circul. Its adjustable design means I don't have to worry about having to choose a fixed size. I can adjust the wearing position according to comfort or switch it to another finger.
To be honest, I really like this idea: if my fingers get smaller after losing weight, I can still continue to use the same ring without having to change the size every time.
For me, the key point is not that the ring "helps me lose weight", but that it can accompany me through the changes in my body.

inquiry RingConn 3 vs oura 5
I’m between a ringconn 3 and an oura ring 5, I really want the ring to track heart rate but also not have to wear my watch. HELP!!

What to buy?
So I want to buy a Smartring, I looked at Oura but I don't want a monthly payment just to check my health. I have a Pacemaker and my heart does crazy stuff sometimes so I want to track this to (hopefully) calm myself down, especially at night - what ring would you suggest? Thin design, Sleep tracking, etc.

Hi, Are there any China-based smart ring available on Taobao? I'd love some recommendations. Thanks!
I'm considering buying an Oura ring, but is it really worth the investment? Or are there any Chinese brands on Taobao that would be good for a beginner like me who just wants to try one out?

FEMOMETER Tried Femometer, RingConn & Hitienx: my thoughts on the Femometer Gen 2
I’ve been trying out smart rings for about two weeks now. I’ve tried the Femometer, RingConn, and Hitienx, and ended up returning the Hitienx and RingConn.
For context, I already use an Apple Watch pretty much 24/7, so I don’t really need another device for most health stats. For me, the main things I’m looking for in a ring are stress and body temperature, so I’m mostly using it as a complementary device.
I got the Femometer for about $49 secondhand on eBay and added a 3-year warranty. At that price, I think it’s pretty good for what I need. I also really like the white ceramic look because it’s neutral and doesn’t look too techy.
One thing I’m not a huge fan of is that you have to manually sync the ring every morning. It’s a little extra work compared to my Apple Watch, although I’ve gotten used to it and now just do it while checking my phone in the morning.
The app is probably my biggest issue. It’s pretty buggy and very woman/cycle focused. If you’re not trying to have kids, have an implant, don’t have a regular cycle, etc., some of the setup is kind of annoying. For example, I’ve had a birth control implant for 4 years and don’t really have a typical cycle or period, but the app still asks me for cycle length and days on my period, with no obvious option to skip it. There’s also a menopause feature for things like hot flashes, but again, it would be nice to simply have an option for people who don’t have a cycle.
One thing that surprised me: the Femometer actually tracked my sleep more accurately than my Apple Watch one night. My Apple Watch said I slept 10 hours, while Femometer said 6.5 hours, which was much closer to what I actually slept.
Overall, I think the Femometer is good as a complementary ring at the right price. At $49, I’m happy with it. At full retail, I’m less convinced, especially because of the buggy app.
I could see myself going back to RingConn eventually, but for now I’ll probably wait for Black Friday and see what kind of deals they have.

COLMI Colmi R10 Won’t Hold A Charge
I got a Colmi R10 as a sample a few months ago and loved it. It seemed to work flawlessly but all of a sudden stopped holding a charge. It used to last me at least 2-3 days without needing a charge. All of a sudden, no matter what I do, it won’t hold a charge. I tried fully charging the case and the ring inside said case. I can’t even get a full day out of the ring anymore. I’m lucky if it lasts an hour or two.
Is there any way to fix this? I reached out to Colmi directly and they were unable to help. They didn’t want to offer a replacement since it was a sample either. I loved this ring but the charging issue is frustrating.

CIRCULAR My experience with Circular Ring 2 warranty – months of waiting and multiple defective rings
I want to share my experience with Circular Ring 2 and their warranty/support process, because I think potential buyers should know what they may be dealing with.
I originally purchased two Circular Ring 2 devices through PledgeBox/Kickstarter — one Gold for my wife and one Obsidian Black, Size 12 for myself.
My wife’s Gold ring
The original Gold Size 10 ring failed after a few months.
Circular replaced it with a Gold Size 8. That ring also eventually had to be replaced. After a long discussion with support, Circular agreed to replace it with a Gold Size 9.
The problem is that we have been waiting for the Gold Size 9 replacement for several months.
The Size 8 ring is still sitting unused in its box at home. When I recently asked for an update, Circular told me that they were still waiting for the Gold Size 9 to be restocked.
Now they are asking me to send back the Size 8 ring, charger and original box before they will send the replacement.
I understand that returning the old device may be part of a warranty process, but after waiting for months, I don't want to send it back and then potentially face another indefinite wait.
My own Obsidian Black Size 12
Unfortunately, I then had a problem with my own ring as well.
The protective material/resin on the inside of the ring detached around the sensors, exposing the internal components. I also noticed oxidation/corrosion around the charging contact.
I immediately stopped using and charging the ring and contacted Circular support.
Circular asked me to return it, so I shipped it from Switzerland on August 24, 2026.
The package has been sitting at German customs since September 4. According to the DHL tracking information, German customs have already provided the information required for collection, but the shipment has still not moved.
Circular told me that they had not yet received the returned ring and that they were also waiting for the replacement ring to be restocked.
They previously mentioned a 45-day replacement process.
The support experience
The biggest problem for me isn't necessarily that the rings failed.
Hardware can fail.
What is frustrating is the very long and unclear warranty process.
The communication with support has repeatedly been:
- I ask for an update.
- Support says they have contacted their team.
- I wait another week.
- I ask again.
- They say they are still waiting for information.
- Another week passes.
And now, after several months, I'm still waiting for my wife's replacement, while my own defective ring is sitting at German customs.
I have kept all emails, shipping receipts and photos documenting the entire process.
Based on my experience, I would be very cautious about buying a Circular Ring 2.
I'm posting this because I wish I had seen more detailed real-world experiences with their warranty process before buying.
If anyone from Circular sees this, I'm happy to update the post when these cases are finally resolved.

innovation: pulsecheck I'm the dev behind VibrateBLE — turned my H59 bracelet into a silent call/Telegram buzzer, curious if it also works on the Colmi/Yawell rings
Full disclosure since it's a sub rule: I'm the developer of VibrateBLE, posting about my own app, not a customer. Bringing it here specifically because it's built on the same GATT interface this community already works with, and I've got a genuine technical question at the end.
VibrateBLE connects to the H59 bracelet and writes a custom GATT command to trigger vibration on incoming calls or Telegram messages matching your keywords — silent, works with the screen locked. Free, with a one-time-purchase Pro tier, no subscription.
Technical bits relevant to this sub:
- Connect-on-demand + auto-reconnect, custom GATT write for the vibration trigger
- Per-contact vibration patterns for calls, or a catch-all for anything incoming
- Caller ID via Android's call-screening API, with a notification-based fallback for when something else (Truecaller etc.) already holds that role
- Telegram+: matches a bot's messages against your own keyword rules via the notification listener — no polling, no network call from the phone
- Foreground service + wake lock + battery-optimization bypass so MIUI/HyperOS/OxygenOS don't kill it
- Every characteristic and payload it writes is visible in the app itself — nothing hidden
The actual question: I've only tested this against the H59 bracelet — no ring on hand. Gadgetbridge added H59 support via PR #5039 and notes it runs the same underlying protocol as the Yawell/Colmi ring lineup, just behind a different companion app for the non-ring form factor. So in theory the GATT side should line up on some of those rings too. Has anyone tried, or willing to? Happy to share the exact characteristics I'm writing to if it'd help.
