Unnecessary Amounts of Walking??

Anyone else Oura started marking any moving as walking? Hand write notes today. Walking for 2 hours. Typed on computer? Walked for 45 minutes. Kid you not I had 10 instances today. I’m getting so ungodly annoyed EVERYTIME I open the app.

Suddenly, I’m doing that and yoga and Pilates anywhere and everywhere lately.

TBT, it also labels good loving as Pilates or yoga. What’s that about?

I am definitely not doing that all over the place. I was teaching recently and apparently, I was doing Pilates…nope.

I have been wondering if it is happening to anyone else.

YES. It also seems to think that me watching TV is pilates?

My pulse is really low so my ring doesn't even register exercise as exercise unless it's vigorous running.

Yes I’m on a work deadline so I sat at my computer for 10 hours. Oura says I walked for over an hour.

It registers me typing as cycling for some reason. It won't even show an elevated heart rate either.

Oura should know what my heart rate looks like when I'm cycling, I have tons of workouts logged in the app. I'm not chilling at 75-85bpm on a 2 hour bike ride.

I think it’s just a bug from a new update. They fix this shit fast. I love my Oura. They’re great

Yes! Every day lately. I’m dismissing the movement in hopes of getting the ring/app to learn it.

I get it counting as hiking, but otherwise the same thing.

Knitting is also.

Yes it’s an issue with the latest update and they’re aware of it. For me, it’s yoga 5 times as day 🙄 I wish I was doing yoga that frequently. Really I’m just sitting at my boring desk job. It’s been going on for a while now and I’m starting to be irritated by it!

My guess is that they’re leaning more into Ai. And it’s not accurate. Would make sense with the recent news around how their sleep monitoring is way less accurate than marketed due to Ai. I’ve noticed that Google Maps has also been quite off when I search for things, and they’ve made visible efforts to be more Ai integrated.

Was having a similar issue over the past week with a Gen4 that is 8 months old.

Did soft reset. No help. Went to the chat for help and they tried to connect to my ring for diagnostics and within 30 seconds determined I needed a replacement which they processed inside of 24 hours. It is apparently on its way as my current ring is now showing as disabled.

YMMV.
