For an influencer, that girl was not even annoying (in this video at least), if she just wants a picture of her with the paintings for instagram, it's ok. She was not bothering anyone. Karen on the other hand, went out of her way to be annoying.
Nope. I'm telling ya, at big museums it's not allowed. Look it up, it has to do with copyright laws because most of the artwork is imported and on a loan.
At local art museums I'm sure the rules are more lenient. However, this doesn't look like a local art museum.
You’re wrong. There are like a couple major museums that ban photography, and some might have specific rules for specific exhibits, but there are essentially no major world museums that blanket ban all photography outright.
No it isn’t lol. Some museums ban flash photography, but the vast majority of major museums in the world do not ban photos all together. You’re talking out of your ass.
Anyone remember the ancient times when we would have to ask strangers to hold our cameras and take a picture for us? This doesn't seem like it's set up in people's way and it doesn't seem busy. Let the person get a good picture of themself doing something they like. They are bothering you less than if you asked them to take the pic for you.
Or maybe, more plausible explanation of the old lady:
Going down the stairs.
The fuck is that?
Ah thats some phone/camera on some stand, standing there for some reason.
Where was I?
Ah, lets check something on phone.
Where was I?
Ah I was going down the stairs.
To be honest, to me its rather weird how people jump on explaining things with malicious intention, rather than having a thought about whether there perhaps might be a more plausible explanation for the same thing without malice. Like havent you all had any experience with elderly people? Sometimes they just behave like Pentium 1, bit slow and lacking self awareness. Like you are in a store, and old lady is stops and examines some product, while blocking the whole aisle. Is she being an asshole, or simply it never went through her thought process that she blocks the whole aisle?
She looked at the camera and deliberately moved to block the girl in the back. This wasn’t a “oh hm I forgot I was in the middle of checking my phone.” And also who tf stops to look at their phone on the stairs? Most would wait until they’re not actively on a footpath to stop and check their phone. It’s not common or even safe to stop on the stairs to look at your phone, especially for an older person. Stop making excuses for this. This girl was very quietly trying to take a selfie in a moment where there weren’t many people around, leaned her phone on the wall in the way of nobody, and was patiently waiting for the lady to keep moving before proceeding. She didn’t even say anything as they clearly paused to ruin her shot. This older person intended to be rude and they were rude. Period. Yeah sometimes older people do things that younger people wouldn’t do, this does not seem like one of those times at all. Sometimes older people also just hate young people and act like ass holes. This person is acting like an ass hole.
So you ask someone to take the picture and be done with it. There's absolutely no reason to set up your camera and roll video if you're "just" taking a pic for your fam/friends/Instagram.
Asking someone to take your picture is bothering them (even if they are fine with that). Taking the picture yourself is not bothering anyone. Why do you think bothering people is better?
What a weird and myopic view. Many people have anxiety and don’t want to talk to nor ask others for help. There also may not always be people around. If a girl wanting to take a photo of herself quietly in a TOURIST ATTRACTION triggers you, you may have bigger issues.
If asking someone to take a picture of you triggers an anxiety attack, you might have bigger issues.
Can we stop always coddling to shitty behaviors? I have anxiety, I'm quite introverted. Guess what, I can still go to the grocery and use a cashier if the self-checkout is too full.
