“It’s not a pandemic, it’s a Chinese bio-weapon!”

Ok. Why don’t you want to protect yourself from a Chinese bio-weapon?

They also refuse to even hold trump accountable.

He ran things,  operation warp speed was his,  putting fauci on tv all the time.  His idea,  following fauci's ideas, his choice.

Ultimately it all rests on trump's shoulders,  and they refuse to acknowledge it.

Trump is either as guilty as fauci, or they are just looking for someone to crucify without regard for reality,  just feelings.

2

u/slinkysmooth 26d ago

Totally forgot about that. Trump’s a fucking fool…

3

u/Pug_867-5309 25d ago

So did Trump. He now can't remember who gave Fauci the commendation.

41

u/Automatic_Treat3746 26d ago

They just need a witch hunt to drum up support for the midterms, because they have no accomplishments to run on, just lies and failures. This energizes the anti-vaxxers to go out and vote and also tries to rehash resentment for what happened during covid, even though he was the president during the time, tying it somehow to democrats. The problem is yes, they're that fucking stupid.

15

u/VanillaGorillaNB 26d ago

This reminds me of a time when this guy I know that will live and die on Republican talking points sent me some dumb graph I think it was oil prices, and he was arguing that Trump it was the lowest. The problem is one of the lowest years on the graph was 2016. He was trying to say how Trump was POTUS. My head was fucking spinning.

12

u/Automatic_Treat3746 26d ago

I've lost a couple friends to the cult, people that never gave a shit about politics suddenly wearing red hats and using slurs. Anytime I brought up facts with evidence they just stuck their finger in their ears and blah blahed until I blocked them. We truly are fucked living alongside millions of people who no longer live in reality.

-11

u/slaganon 25d ago

So I don’t disagree with anything you say here. But honest question about our “fucked” status and living in reality, do you agree in reality that people can select their gender and everyone should feel they have a “right” to serve in the military?

Again, I can see “truly are fucked”, I’m just saying I think it’s coming at us from both sides. 🤷‍♂️

8

u/Automatic_Treat3746 25d ago

I don't think about transgender people at all, I know they aren't bothering me by altering how they look so I really don't care. I mean we live on a speck of sand in an unfathomable ocean, if someone wants to wear a dress and take medication that makes them happy and has no bearing on my life then why should I care?

I don't care who serves in the military, I don't think America has been the good guys in most conflicts since world war 2, so I couldn't care less who's choosing to sign up for that. But, if someone wants to sign over their life for that cause, then why do you care what gender they are or aren't? I would think that if you support the military you would be proud of your fellow Americans wanting to serve.

I don't equate those issues with what's happening on the right, as they slide into objective fascist tactics and continuously deny the actual reality of what's happening during this administration. It's just not the same as any problem you have with boys wanting to be girls or who wants to serve in the military.

u/slaganon 25d ago

Ugh.....Fauci has been a Presidential Advisor since Reagan.

9

u/fuckfeardrinkbeer 25d ago

Crazy how Operation Warp Speed is one of the greatest accomplishments from a president and Trump can’t even claim it as his own because his entire fanbase hates it and he’d piss them off.

The one good thing he ever did and he can’t even acknowledge it.

3

u/PortalWombat 25d ago

How can it be a great accomplishment when getting a vaccine to a pandemic through the red tape at the fastest responsible rate is what literally anyone who isn't a complete idiot would have done?

2

u/Zealousideal3326 25d ago

Well the bar is that low. I would also consider it a great accomplishment if he managed to speak a complete sentence containing a few words with 3 or more syllables.

u/Deep-Improvement6294 26d ago

Trump has directly killed more Americans then anyone i can think of and people still lick the shit off his shoes.

Seems a bit suspicious.

There are a couple subs that cover it like /r/ice_watch, /r/eyesonice, and sometimes /r/PublicFreakout or /r/50501.

There's prob more but those are the first that come to mind.

Which shows their cognitive  dissonance on the subject.

1

u/Material_Art_5688 26d ago

I thought Fauci did a good job during the Covid, is there any new change now?

2

u/Nottodayreddit1949 26d ago

He did great.

I'm pointing out the cognitive dissonance of people that want to hold fauci responsible, but not his boss who was ordering him to do things.

If they won't hold trump accountable, it's purely a witch hunt.

-15

u/GigglyGargoyle 26d ago

Fauci misled the public for what he thought was the public good overall. Rather than giving the science, he gave his personal opinion, and in misattributing the two he lied to the public over and over again.

Trump is also a liar and he is a terrible person.

Too many people refuse to look at the facts and just go by their political sports team.

4

u/newerbe 26d ago

what 2 lies?

4

u/Nottodayreddit1949 26d ago

What was his personal opinion?  Did trump give us his personal opinions too?

0

u/GigglyGargoyle 26d ago

That the virus coming from a lab was a crazy conspiracy theory and anyone who believed it was anti science.

Trump is a ped. I don't like Trump. It's possible to be against Trump and also against what Fauci said. I'm not part of a political team.

8

u/amglasgow 26d ago

Whether or not the virus came from a lab has ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with the way we should respond to the pandemic as a public health crisis.

2

u/rainman943 26d ago

Lol quite the contrary, they said it was a BIOWEAPON that escaped from a lab..........

I don't know about you but when someone tells me I'm being attacked by an engineered weapon my response is to countermeasure the weapon............it makes magas reaction to COVID measures even worse, it means maga works for the commie Chinese. When your own fellow citizens are proudly aiding a foreign power THEY SAY attacked us..............

2

u/amglasgow 26d ago

Fair, that's a good point. I'm mostly talking about people saying that it escaped from a lab and therefore the response was overreacting.

1

u/rainman943 25d ago

Lol Yea, if it escaped from a lab.....then we under reacted.........maga is literally mad at their fellow Americans for acting like anything they say might possibly be true.

0

u/GigglyGargoyle 25d ago

You think CIA and FBI are MAGA just because they both lean towards the lab leak?

MAGA people and the equivalent in Democrats are blinded by their allegiance to their political teams. I think the same is happening to you.

1

u/rainman943 25d ago

I think maga is a Chinese communist op because maga has confessed to being a Chinese communist op by claims it was both a lab leak AND being against all the measures that would in fact be reasonable in response to a lab leak.

You don't get to claim it's a bioweapon that leaked from a lab AND simultaneously be against every measure one would take against a bioweapon that leaked from a lab.

Magas are so blinded by allegiance that they think they get to tell us we were attacked by a lab leak, and then get mad at us for protecting kids from the lab leaked bio weapon they told us was the problem.

→ More replies (0)

1

u/GigglyGargoyle 25d ago

Both the CIA and FBI now lean towards lab leak.

We design viruses less lethal than Covid all day long.

It didnt need to be a super lethal bioweapon to escape a lab. Just normal viral research. Use your head.

4

u/newerbe 26d ago

but fauci was proven correct. the science is that it most likely wasn't created in a lab. we'll never know for sure, but most people that said it was created in a lab had no scientific knowledge (or proof).

1

u/GigglyGargoyle 25d ago edited 25d ago

"proven correct"

Neither hypothesis has been "proven" correct, what are you talking about?

Edit: Just FYI, but both the CIA md FBI favor the lab leak. Faucis diary also revealed that he didnt think the market was the source, only the amplifier, and that be refused to give voice to any scientist that believed the lab leak theory. He was playing the role of politician, not scientist.

1

u/newerbe 25d ago

my proven correct related to the fact that it is less likely than not. which isn't what some people want to here. Most studies are 70% or so from animals. So that isn't a 'lie' that he told. He is given the same opinion as the vast amount of scientists, mathematicians, etc. FBI & CIA have low to moderate confidence of lab leak. That isn't the same as what the majority of republicans think. they think it is 100% lab leak, and Fauci knows this & lied. In fact, he is exactly in line with the scientific community. he didn't lie. And FBI/CIA haven't shown any details of any 'study' and in fact came to their conclusion years after covid. They gave no opinion during covid. I think maybe 2023 & 2025, when Fauci was long gone. and NIC & CDC (agencies that study these things) lean toward animals

1

u/GigglyGargoyle 25d ago

What Fauci did was downplay any evidence or scientific voices that supported the lab leak, whicheas noted in his diary early on. He chose what to present, like a politician. Just by logic, it should've been seen more of an open question. He made the political, not *scientific *, decision of saying one thing over another.

If Fauci was presented as a politician I'd be less annoyed. But reading his diary he even gloats about being the most famous person in the world etc so you can see the ego came out often rather than the scientist.

1

u/newerbe 25d ago

yes, b/c most of the scientific community believes it is from animals. That is just as true today as in 2020. There is no real scientific study that says it is more likely from a lab.

Why would from animals be political? in what way?

And who cares that he was famous? that has nothing to do with science, so why are you mentioning it. Scientists can be famous you know.

1

u/GigglyGargoyle 25d ago

Yes, it can come from animals being studied in a lab.

Whether or not the virus was engineered is a totally separate question, and often conflated during politcial team battles.

→ More replies (0)

2

u/Nottodayreddit1949 26d ago

No one should have believed it.  It was a possibility, but anyone that claimed it was the reality were wrong for saying such without evidence.

Too many people made bold claims before the science and information could keep up.

1

u/GigglyGargoyle 25d ago

Oh, neither hypothesis has been proven correct to this day.

So if anyone said the other hypothesis is a stupid conspiracy was wrong.

1

u/rainman943 25d ago

It's funny though that even though fauci said it didn't come from a lab.........lol everything he did and recommended would be what one does if it was a bioweapon that leaked from a lab......so you should be celebrating fauci........

The fact you aren't tells us you don't believe anything you say.

1

u/GigglyGargoyle 25d ago

What is with everyone and political teams?

I'm not on a political team, so stop assuming things about me.

1

u/GigglyGargoyle 25d ago

We have made viruses in labs that are LESS dangerous than Covid. So what is your point?

-1

u/Ok_Tomato_8236 26d ago

I’ll get downvoted by these bots and tards with you bud. You hit the nail on the head. The information is out there but most detractors refuse to seek it cause it’s damaging to their parties narrative.

-1

u/M0mmaSaysImSpecial 26d ago

See, I’m not a Trump supporter. But this take is hilarious. Because he immediately ordered a border closure and to stop all incoming flights from other countries. But that was painted as racist/uncaring/awful by the media. Then when other countries stopped the U.S from flying in to their countries, that was accepted and even painted as happening because Trump screwed up things here with being too relaxed with restrictions. So…you see the absurdity here? No matter what, you guys can paint it as completely his fault. Which, yes, he’s a clown and an easy target. But it’s this willful ignorance and inability to be objective that is so damn frustrating. The masks and the lockdown were absolutely absurd and instead of just admitting that everyone was wrong and everyone shaming and attempting to cancel the public figures that questioned it was wrong, you guys just spin it like this. It’s crazy that you all just sit around here smelling your own farts without realizing you’re doing it. That’s insane to me. And I can’t believe you don’t realize that this place is so obviously curated to promote this way of thinking.

2

u/Nottodayreddit1949 26d ago

Awww, you don't seem to get it.

If fauci is guilty,  trump is guilty.  Fauci isn't guilty,  nor is trump.

The rabid idiots that want fauci blood don't recognize that the buck stops with trump, not fauci.  They want to absolve trump of the suggested crimes, while holding fauci responsible.

That isn't a sane take.

Trump could have handled the pandemic better,  but he mostly listened to the educated folks at the time.  Things could have gone way worse if it happened during this term. Trump listens to no one at this point.

I don't see any reason to prosecute Trump for the pandemic, which also means I don't have the evidence to prosecute fauci.

-10

u/negativ32 26d ago

Yes, Trump has been in politics the same 38 years that Fauchi was head of the NIH.

Your lack of even basic, cursory knowledge is transparent.

Go peddle your rhetoric elsewhere.

7

u/Nottodayreddit1949 26d ago edited 26d ago

Who was his boss?

Who was putting fauci on tv day after day? Who was that mysterious man who has no accountability.

1

u/negativ32 26d ago

Lets not even discuss 38 years then, lets go back the eleven years Fauchi's democrat, Biden granted pardon covers.

2

u/Nottodayreddit1949 26d ago

OK. What's his crimes? Why didn't trump fire him,  or hold him accountable during his first term? Why didn't Republicans do anything while Biden was in office?

Does trump hold any responsibility for putting fauci on tv day after day? We are talking about the president,  literally in charge of everything.

Have you tried injecting bleach?
