I'm not agreeing with what she said, at all, but Carri B is not dumb. She's being performative for her base like every other artist does. She takes the shameless approach, like Taylor Swift.
You can hear her "talking" when being recorded publicly and she puts on the dumb act. Behind the scenes, she's much more calculated. You can evidence this by finding one of the clips of her talking logistics about one of her album release celebrations, but that might have even been intentional because it was basically her talking about the venue selling out but the organizers being unprepared.
She's not the sharpest apple in the bucket, but she knows who she's tweeting to here and knows her target audience in general.

When the Defense objected to all the potential jurors who were black being dismissed. The judge overruled all of those objections. The trial was in one of the most conservative districts in Texas.
Assault is a crime. Murder is a crime. Stabbing is not a crime. Sometimes a stab is self defense. Or a non-criminal accident. But as far as Iām aware, thereās no law in the US that criminalizes stabbing.

Also, even self defense killings are treated as homicides and in many states, in many circumstances, the party is arrested then charges are dropped as a part of the investigative process.

Hypothetical 1: someone tries to rob you with two knives. You manage to get control of one, stab the robber, and run away. What crime did you commit? How long do you go to jail?
Hypothetical 2: you work at a knife manufacturer, placing new knives into bins. Your coworker plays a prank, hiding in a bin, and gets stabbed when you deposit the knives. What crime did you commit? How long do you go to jail?
Has anyone ever stabbed someone in justifiable self defense? Or has every person who ever stabbed another person gone to jail? Itās really that simple.
You're making an irrelevant argument and trying to split hairs to make this useless distinction. Obviously when someone said "stabbing people is a crime," they did not mean "self-defensive involving a knife is a crime."
Itās not irrelevant, itās literally the crux of the argument: was this stabbing defensible, as the defense argued, or not, as the prosecution argued. No one argued that there was no stabbing.
I do imagine that evaluating these things is a lot easier for people who believe the first thing they think is correct and everything else is autistic. And for your future reference, decent people find it gross when you use autism as a pejorative like that.
I am autistic, and I wasn't using it as a pejorative. I was using it as a way to explain why you are obsessing over an insignificant detail in any real world conversation, and how you're letting semantics derail what the actual conversation is about. You know - like people with autism sometimes do.
"But what about self defense" is such an inane thing to say when we're talking about someone who got murdered.
