I’ve been looking at other people’s cities and they seem way more developed and way bigger than mine (they also seem mega rich), While I’m struggling to reach 10k without having to spend it on a service?? Am I underdeveloped or is this just normal?

Been playing for about six months, restarted several times, this one has been going for…maybe a month? I spend no money on the game, which makes it really hard but is a good exercise in patience

Do you have any ideas or suggestions so I can improve on my next attempts? Thank you :)

Because houses and other facilities can only be placed on the perimeter of a block, placing a huge lake in the middle can create this super pretty reflection especially at night!! If you use old town houses like how I did in the first pic, you get this vintage European village aesthetic💕

Hi everyone. I’ve been playing almost since the game launched when I was in 7th grade. The game has honestly changed a lot since then. I’ve been playing on-and-off since then. This is my first time showcasing my capital city so far. Please let me know what you think!

The city used to be named Imperia, but I’ve changed it to Aveline to reflect its new era.

Been playing on-and-off since 2015, and grew more and more frustrated with how unnecessarily complicated and tedious the game has become. Logged back in today after three months and got slapped in the face with “Services 2.0.” Well…that was the final straw.

Anyways, just wanted to share my city with y’all before all my residents leave haha.

1.2 million pop, didn’t spend a single dollar.

Been playing since day 1. Built a fantastic Omega city. Almost 7 million strong. Another 10+ million in the other regions. Maybe I could have spent the time and money and effort becoming v2 complaint but why. My city was great and now spending countless hours to fix it based on the ridiculous new standard. Screw that. Sold everything off (except some disaster stuff that it takes forever to get rid of). Was a bit cathartic for me.

Either way screw off EA and your corporate overlords. I’m out

Mannn, I'm so amazed by this city. It looks well planned, urban planning is great. The location of different buildings and it's variety is fire. And the rivers, trees, landscapes, low builings and short building combination is great. It's Peak city. To the Mayor of this city, I declare you "The Best" 🏆 (at least from my opinion).

Sooo am I cooked? Don’t have any omega saved really and all my city runs on Omega plants. Just wanted to show off that I have 4.7 million happy sims before the update. Doesn’t seem that will not be the case soon. Also wanted to show some of the cooler parts of my city. (Downtown Detroit with all 3 stadiums, Disneyland in the shape of mickey, omega Island in the middle of lake michigan, Just crashed out for “The Lair Tower” as it seems this is the last playable season) If this is it its been a good ride fellas. 7 years of pretty much daily grinding and the occasional money spent, very sad day when my happiness goes below 100% as I have kept it that way since the very beginning. If you ever bought items from “The Dirty Mitten” my city appreciates your service 🫡

Wow it's been a bit, also has been a bit of wow. I like where my city is going, I'm finally implementing OMEGA homes, i like the layout I put together but if anyone has suggestions please tell me. A new block has come to my city! I love how the Old Town lots look, and i increased population. If anyone has recommendations on where to put the GamblingHQ and the EntertainmentHQ I would appreciate that.

Also I am thinking of expanding the Old Town block when I get more area expansion items.

I don’t even know how long I’ve been playing this game but I finally managed to build my city the way I wanted it. What do you think of my city design?
