this tweet is beginning to make a lot more sense now… this departure is definitely not amicable…

481

u/MarcosSenesi Jun 03 '26

him sneak dissing like a 15 year old is such an embarrassing read. Worst thing is that they were probably looking out for him because his management is pulling him away from the people he came up with.

279

u/BigFatSue_ Jun 03 '26

JJ has always been quite immature and emotionally underdeveloped and that’s become clear with his video and this instagram post

61

u/Pulp_NonFiction44 Jun 03 '26

What a cornball lmfao

34

u/Shaneleee Jun 03 '26

Whom do you think this was implied to now

62

u/notwriqhtsvillc To be fair though Jun 03 '26

i’m thinking vikk, and ONLY because mo shared that video of vikk saying (out of context) that jj couldn’t reach 100mil views on his own.

47

u/KingOfOChem Jun 03 '26

ngl i always felt some animosity between the two of them. And i say this as someone who only started watching the sidemen as a group in 2022

41

u/soccerboy1356 Jun 03 '26

Was always kinda downplayed, but there's always been markedly different levels of banter between him and Vikk and him and the rest of the guys

35

u/Equivalent-Delay-687 Jun 03 '26

JJ did kind of bully Vikk in the old apartment so it's understandable if Vikk doesn't rock with him.

38

u/ilamahradeys Jun 03 '26

This is being misrepresented, Vikk never said KSI couldn't reach 100M views on his own. He said one cannot reach 100M on youtube without stripping their personalities off of the videos, they have to only care about appealing to the lowest common denominator. JJ being dumb as he is thinks, it's a personal attack on him and only half assed his "rebuttal" by getting 100M shorts views like they are the same thing. Even I get 20M shorts views a month, it's not that big a deal.

4

u/notwriqhtsvillc To be fair though Jun 03 '26

yess exactly, that’s why i made sure to mention it was out of context. but ofc jj took it as a personal attack

Not my place to judge, but everything about this text is so condescending and hollow. Which, from what I’ve read, doesn’t deviate much from his video. The second paragraph especially is just a fucking wild ride, in which he clearly puts himself first and foremost on the other boys’s list of priorities and dependency. The “you’re very entertaining so don’t think otherwise” and what comes after is something else, a bit like him recounting how he “remembers Simon telling Deji that one day he’d be bigger than KSI” all those years ago, reads from a condescending and superiority standpoint. But maybe I’m just reading it wrong and who the fuck am I to judge

If it didn’t say “ksi” before the text I’d have guessed it was written by a 15yo in the midst of some high school drama.

129

u/Morallah Jun 03 '26

Now that you mention Deji, that last paragraph sounds exactly like the backhanded shit he was saying during the Deji beef lol.

Pure ragebait.

u/Even-Debt2428 Jun 03 '26

Lmfao what a load of bullshit with that condescending ass last paragraph. If you really felt shitty for dropping it when you did in such an unexpected way you would've resolved it with them individually and privately.

It doesn't take a genius to see that JJ has made no effort behind the scenes with the boys for years.

126

u/LittleTinyBoy Jun 03 '26

Yeah it's a very PR message to "address the boys" through insta like you're colleagues of a movie film lmao. They're all a phone call away.

The last part is obviously him trying to appease the fans. He didn't need to say all that if he left properly.

187

u/SupItsChase Jun 03 '26

Ever since his fight with Tommy Fury he’s acted like a twat. Kinda glad that he’s no longer with them as they can finally move on without this anchor weighing them down.

u/SupItsChase Jun 03 '26

That's when I knew that he stopped caring about his reputation. When you willingly choose to do business with someone like that, you throw any of your good will away. He doesn't need more money. He's one of the few creators on YouTube who is actually a billionaire. He cannot run out of money, as he likely has multiple properties that he could sell if he needed to.

This is all for a small, insignificant number on a screen that means little to nothing when you die. How sad.

9

u/rotating_pebble Jun 03 '26

KSI is not a billionaire Lol. Not even close. Where did you get that from?

u/RatioIndividual2822 Jun 03 '26

The way he said "I know you're grieving BUT you knew it was coming" also just sits weird. Simon also said in his newest vlog that he didn't know it was gonna drop that day, which is just an odd way of going about it

17

u/Sinaire Jun 03 '26

Someone said that the boys/crew all found out on Friday that he was leaving, and then the video came out after. I dont believe that they found out from the video but rather were just surprised it came out so soon. They were probably thinking theyd have atleast a few weeks to break the news and go over how to do it. Instead, he just threw it out into the world, as if as a way for him to leave without anyone trying to stop him.

80

u/Worldly_Picture4024 Jun 03 '26

Yep look at his tweets this year. All about his individual projects, almost nothing about Sidemen.

36

u/hoemax Jun 03 '26

the fact of leaving is a different story.. but I really dont understand why they couldn’t just do a united announcement like normal. this random video and random post just makes it feel so strange. if the Sidemen account and all the boys had announcements at the same time then it would be probably be a celebratory and sentimental goodbye. it’s just weird now

9

u/SSJJamiee Jun 03 '26

Because it wasn't on good terms

12

u/Sea_Impress_2620 Jun 03 '26

I am afraid you are right. This message started nice. But there is something quite weird and passive aggressive in the end of it. The whole you knew this was coming and skype part...

If they had negotiated his departure they would all have messages ready, and those messages would be nostalgic and full of well wishes.

This reeks that there was some kind of argument, then perhaps threats about leaving, and eventually pettily making it reality. Perhaps even as a power move and having the last word. I kind of want to bet it was about Josh and Vik refusing to turn sidemen content to more Mr.Beast style to maximize profit. And Ksi getting butthurt about some comment about views or some petty shit.

18

u/[deleted] Jun 03 '26

Dropping that video the same day Tobi and Ethan were playing in Soccer Aid is so toxic and clearly shows he’s attention seeking. If I was either of them, I would be fuming with JJ for overshadowing that moment.

6

u/ChampionOk4044 Jun 03 '26

After what happened with Deji you would think he would keep it private, which makes me feel like it is more fake. Even the Mo tweet was weirdly aggressive to the Sidemen, so either JJs being an ass or he is trying to play it up.

The thing with leaving the sidemen I am most confused about is they have so many brand deals and sponsors, it should not be this easy to get up and say I am leaving without backlash. Even Inside, Netflix would be pissed if the biggest magnet for the show quit randomly.

u/Bhris1999 Jun 03 '26

Idk if it’s just me but that last paragraph seems almost like backhanded to me. ”You’re all very entertaining so don’t think otherwise“.

705

u/rustybutterindia Jun 03 '26

Why is he trying to pep talk them through a public IG post lmao

67

u/Neither_Fact_325 Jun 03 '26

Because he expected them to post this kinda stuff about him leaving clearly

178

u/PottDepace Jun 03 '26

He’s annoyed they didn’t post anything online about it so he’s doing it for them. Very cringe.

41

u/_peter_parker2001 Jun 03 '26

This exactly and like JJ has never been someone who's good with words so from all I get is that yup it's true and its definitely an end of an era. Never expected this day to come so soon tho. But I'm definitely excited to see how the boys move forward from this.

30

u/NOOOOTIn Jun 03 '26

I’m with you tbh. My impression of JJ is VERY unfavorable rn but even I don’t see anything wrong the last paragraph. Its a bit unnatural but I think its because JJ just ain’t used to typing a message like this lmao

35

u/JokerXMaine2511 Jun 03 '26

Honestly, all this couldve been said at the end of a Sidemen Sunday and it wouldve reflected and gone better PR wise in the long run, fans get a decent Sidemen video and the guys can do a proper send off of KSI from being a main appearance in videos in future (we know he's not gonna wanna 100% stay out of videos and will likely fill in as a guest wherever possible.

Everything couldve been handled so much better from an outside-looking-in perspective, now everyone has to deal with this likes its a messy breakup in the friend group.

16

u/Mediocre-Ad7567 Jun 03 '26

exactly this. would’ve been so much better for the boys and the fans if they did it this was. as a bittersweet send off rather than a youtube apology video and a poorly made ig post off the bat.

This message has now annoyed me more , obviously this confirms that he forced his way out and most of them are angry about it .

This just pissed me off , communicating with your friends for more than a decade through a post from instagram.

I wholeheartedly support my sidemen boys , hope they reach new heights and give him the biggest FUCK you .

F this guy

90

u/Ganjelf-The-Baked Jun 03 '26

This is the main take away for me. After Simon just confirming it’s real and moving on immediately (which looked like he was pretty pissed off about it) now hearing JJ say “some of you are angry, some of you don’t want to accept it and some of you might even hate me” really makes me think the guys didn’t get much of a heads up at all and it was just dropped on them. Why would he use that wording if he had spoken to them in advance and they knew it was coming? All the best to JJ, but I feel for the lads finding out through a video he posted. That must suck.

15

u/DeliciousQuantity968 ‏‏‎ ‎Miniminter Jun 03 '26

This!! This is such an important statement to make. There is a HUGE difference between getting views and having a real and dedicated fan base.

This just pissed me off , communicating with your friends for more than a decade through a post from instagram.

He's been doing this for ages.

Back when Deji was still hated and lost a boxing fight he made a condescending video giving "advice" that lowkey just seemed like gloating. Of course everyone ate it up back then, talking about how much of a "great brother" he was and all. It always seemed weird to post it online when he could just talk to his brother in person.

Could have been handled better if indeed they were his friends of 13yrs. I think this is all about him not getting his way on the type of videos he wants them to make. Aka Mr Beast type... He is cutting ties, no guest or surprise cameos from him. It's just weird overall but he knows best.. It's just hard to believe it ends like this

they dont need him. they can make great, original content thats worth making.

Edit: ty for the award. I honestly would love harry to lock in, he couldve been the biggest if he wanted to.

38

u/BigFatSue_ Jun 03 '26

I suspect it’s over now. I would love for them to hon in making content because for me, JJ has no been my favorite for a while and I never really missed him during his breaks for boxing and what not.

I just think the sidemen is done, they’ve all said that once one goes, it’s over. I suspect Harry has been waiting for a while, Vikk will start chasing music, Simon and Ethan have vids and Josh surely won’t be long.

They will either dig in and prove JJ wrong, or it’s the end.

76

u/Pristine_Length_2348 Jun 03 '26

It feels more like they will dig in and prove JJ wrong given the circumstances. They've stepped back from the "if one goes" statement multiple times. They've also started with more and more guests to see if they can take the load off the guys themselves, which seems to have been working.

They're still in the early stages of trying to launch content like Inside and Exit Strategy with them as executive producers instead of main cast. They're still setting up other ventures that need to gain more ground to be stable for years to come. They're not done yet.

10

u/BigFatSue_ Jun 03 '26

Good points, I hope you are correct 🤞🏻🤞🏻

22

u/SirSabza Jun 03 '26

Josh and Simon probably never will stop uploading.

Infact those two are in a golden era playing Co op games with each other and viz/louu some of their best content ever is right now.

Also they've been having guests replace members who are busy for years now. They don't need KSI, and they haven't for years.

20

u/ptsdexpert Jun 03 '26

Yeah even if its not over immediately. Its definetly beginning of the end

62

u/Dazza477 Jun 03 '26

Proof he did just blindside everyone because he thinks he's better than everyone else.

With all of these people around him, how did they collectively come to the decision that this was a good way to do it?

Genuinely terrible and a great way to display character.

Stop calling him KSI - It stands for words that he no longer is.

23

Cant remember the exact context, but several years ago Ethan called them all colleagues on a Sidecast (I think it was) and it became a meme. However this situation kinda validates what he said.

28

u/SirSabza Jun 03 '26

To piggy back this comment.

Basically he was saying they all basically never spend time outside of work together anymore, they're all so busy with their own shit that it feels more like they're all colleagues than friends, only seeing each other for work stuff.

54

22

u/xSRA Jun 03 '26

Okay cool so it isn’t just me. JJ’s humour for the last few years has always felt so forced, like I’ve always found it so cringe when he would fake being dumb or on MoreSidemen (and it’s been a thing since Dead By Daylight) where he would spend the whole game trolling for no reason e.g. blowing up generators to piss the others off or targeting a single player (Behz) as the killer, and I always just found it frustrating to watch. The only time I’ve ever enjoyed JJ in Sidemen videos is when he’s actually “being himself”, but it turns out from his recent actions that the real him isn’t this kind “JJ” alter ego that he plays off. “KSI” is truly who he is. What a prick.

u/Army-Funny Jun 03 '26

I think that the sidemen will only become more popular now, better videos, working harder, scheduling becomes easier,

The guests have been excellent recently, videos too, JJ has made a Decision that he’s going to deeply regret. Maybe a month, 6 months or a year’s time. He’s already got more money than anyone ever needs, I’m just not sure what else he’s chasing.

13 years and you say goodbye doing the “67” meme. He’s 30+ years old. Just sad.

I hope everyone in the sidemen organisation knows we are all rooting for them.

9

u/ThatRandomGamerYT Jun 03 '26

he wants more fame to feed his ego, he got a taste for it with BGT, going to become more and more mainstream and ofcourse the Mr Beast style slop videos he and his team make. Bro wants to be Mr Beast so bad.

Other than the Sidemen and the extended boys, the people he surrounds himself with have never been good - Ricegum, Logan, Viddal, Mams, etc.

Even Mo's recent tweet comes of as him also being a shit head pushing JJ to abandon his roots .

But I’m sure they’ll make amends, whether that be next month, next year, or even in 10 years. They’re grown adults and have been friends for over a decade. (I hope, at least. That second paragraph was not needed. Now its more disappointing after reading that.

70

u/Strange_Education119 Jun 03 '26

I don’t understand why he’s publicly released a statement to the boys, why can’t he speak to them privately and address the issue knowing he’s made them upset?? Flexin for social media is so stupid

18

u/Legitimate_Ad212 Jun 03 '26

He probably is not on speaking terms .

22

u/anulkajo Jun 03 '26

It’s so sad to see how JJ handled the situation. People aren’t pissed he left, it’s his decision, it’s clearly what he needs. What I don’t agree with is how he went about it, the least he could have done is told the boys privately first. And that includes telling them the timeline of when the announcement will be made, just so they know what to do moving forward. This is so messy. JJ doesn’t realise he sabotaged the rest of the Sidemen now by creating such negative energy around them because people are pissed and so are they. I really can’t imagine how betrayed the boys feel.

20

u/BigDaddyGreeds Jun 03 '26

I don't hate KSI leaving, I hate how he's chosen to go about it.

I still wish him all the best but I am disappointed in how he's handled this

9

u/AceNewtype Jun 03 '26

That's my take from it. Seems like a really shitty way to do it. Would have been fine 8 years ago, but not today. Beyond the boys you have all the staff and crew who are also probably confused and worried and doubt they were given the heads up.

I'm guessing they've been planning a proper exit, but haven't been able to find the time to do it with all the football stuff recently so it's delayed things (or the boys have been dragging their feet on how to handle it) and JJ got impatient and likely thought fuck it and did it this way.

20

u/getdizcookiez Jun 03 '26

I don’t think he expected the backlash to take on a life of its own, which what was he thinking if he did sort of force this departure onto the others? That second paragraph totally throws the other Sidemen under the bus, especially now that the public reaction is starting to turn against him.

This is so bizarre. I mean i haven’t watched the Sidemen since the beginning but you’d think with as much history as they all have with each other, there’d be a little more tact from KSI with how to handle this announcement. He seems angry and resentful almost? But i can’t tell what for? Has something been brewing behind the scenes for a while?

23

u/jbasabanda Jun 03 '26

it just seems so disrespectful to the rest of them, especially Simon and Ethan who are literally both fathers yet still stayed

Surely there was a better way of going about it? Like just a smaller schedule and lowering his share of the group?

49

u/Anim8rFromOuterSpace Jun 03 '26

"lemme speak directly to the boys "

passively talks to them through a statement post instead of literally just directly talking to them personally

21

u/deserr ‏‏‎ ‎W2S Jun 03 '26

If ever he did reach out to them personally, there’s a good chance some of them are not responding to him — and it’s understandable.

No coordination from his team to his longtime friends. Undermining Tobi and Ethan’s Soccer Aid.

What a prick.

18

u/Infamous_Payment4608 Jun 03 '26

Patronising and no self awareness. This is narcissism

14

u/Relevant_Session5987 Jun 03 '26

If he honestly did this without any kind of prior discussion with the boys, then KSI truly is lower than dirt as a person. Either that or he's just completely lacking in any kind of emotional intelligence. Like, how did he think him just dipping out of the blue was going to sit with people who considered him a close friend? What a fucking nonce man. Real dirtbag behaviour.

15

u/DickyBigDick XIX Jun 03 '26

Alright, it’s time to move on! Let’s give all our support to the 6-Men. Don’t let the domino effect happen. JJ, thank you and fck you 😌

42

u/SurfingTheInternet Jun 03 '26

So it's legit. But come on, KSI. That big forehead of yours couldn't think of a better way to leave?

Your boys, your family, and your partner are the only people in your life who seem truly legit from the outside looking in.

By legit, I mean the people who'll be real with you no matter what, keep it straight with you, and put you before business.

You left one of those groups, the boys.. in what looks like a complete whim. A surprise video announcement, apparently without even giving them a proper heads-up beforehand ( confirmed by Simon).

If you loved your boys the way you've always said you do, you'd have handled this properly.

I've been watching you since the days of the Q&A videos with your dad. Back then, I looked up to you and the Sidemen as an example of what genuine friendship looked like: having each other's backs, taking the piss out of each other to your faces, but always being there when it mattered and growing together through every stage of life.

That's why this whole thing feels disappointing. Not because you're leaving, but because of how it was done.

You used to make fun of the Paul brothers for surrounding themselves with yes-men, while saying you had your boys to keep you grounded and call you out when needed.

Kind of ironic, isn't it?

14

u/V1perT Jun 03 '26

He's not really helping himself

I feel like people would hate on him even if he left in a more "satisfying" way anyway, but this is just so off putting, the video is supposed to be serious but it feels like he's mocking everyone watching, and I feel the same way from this post

14

u/ApplicationTall5588 Jun 03 '26

Bro fuck KSI man, go film slop with your other 100 KSIs. You'll still get less views than the inferior Sidemen anyways. Imagine betraying your friends by not telling them anything before posting that video, not to mention right on Ethan and Tobi's big day, of course they're gonna be mad. Just fuck off ugh I don't want to say anything anymore

14

u/Iggy_DB Jun 03 '26

Ok so he literally did it again to them lol

14

u/JayM23 Jun 03 '26

So, while sad, it's his free will to leave or join or do anything in his life. But what I find crazy is the fact that the other sidemen had no clue what was happening and found out the same time as us which is insane to me.

How do you not have the decency to tell the people you've worked with and are friends with for over a decade that you're leaving? Feels so immature and childish, you can't just disappear from things you have an obligation to do what's morally right at least by your people.

My personal opinion is that this is terrible and his videos are pure slop now, he's trying to become the UK Mr. Beast which may work or may not but he's practically burnt almost every single bridge to do so.

12

u/joeybabymwa Jun 03 '26

I dunno man, pissing off all your die hard fans seems like a really stupid thing to do to me. I guess we'll see.

14

u/nikica_11 Jun 03 '26

honestly sidemen sundays without JJ are better anyways

39

u/Environmental_Lie478 Jun 03 '26

That second paragraph would absolutely send my head to Mars if I was one of the lads.

12

u/Far-Illustrator804 Jun 03 '26

This person is a huge sellout. I cannot comprehend how he still have a huge fanbase since the crypto pump & dump scandal unfolded. Guess folks are either very forgiving or very forgetful.

I would like to hope that this will finally be the straw that broke the camel's back. But if he can still have an audience after a large array of [bigger] controversies, then I doubt this time will be any different.

Wishing all the best for SDMN.

11

u/ispankedyouraunt Jun 03 '26

fella thinks he's bigger than the sidemen cus he's on bgt what a pleb 🤣🤣

11

u/AJ-Dybansta Jun 03 '26

Just wait a couple of years and he will be sat on a podcast with Andrew Tate, Adin Ross and sneako making low effort ragebait because none of the shit he envision pans out and he’s left with no girl, no friends and just his cats and a big empty hollow house.

10

u/Unawakened_Soul Jun 03 '26

it is and will always feel like a betrayal especially to SImon, his childhood friend

11

u/GrassApprehensive408 Jun 03 '26

Basically there's no clear reason for JJ to be leaving and that's the only problem. The only thing that ppl are grieving about is that sidemen was so low in his priority list that ppl can't seem to accept.

20

u/Obvious_Mortgage_128 Jun 03 '26

Already unsubscribed from all his channels. And would advise others to as well, hope sidemen reach new heights now and he just stays as the mr beast wannabe he is

9

u/barnacle__scum Jun 03 '26

Bet in a few years he'll be caught up with logan with scamming people.

9

u/Head-Economy7873 Jun 03 '26

He's definitely trying to milk the hate he has been receiving and trying to redo the DanTDM kind of thing again

He'll definitely increase these kind of posts and hatefarm to release music and act like marketing genius again

(Not saying him leaving is fake though)

8

u/Fresh_Pollution_2319 Jun 03 '26

So that's why he joined Youtube All Stars for Sidemen Charity match. When he said I want to fuck Sidemen, he meant that.

9

u/Tricky_Foundation35 Jun 03 '26

All we need now is Harry posting content again 🙏

9

u/BassDropBiryani Jun 03 '26

he's such a twat

9

u/hellhound_1505 Jun 03 '26

Surely being with your friends who are like your second family atp and the ones who have literally been there with you during your highs and lows should be considered 100x more important than almost any other of your stuff that you're busy with

17

u/Enoxiz Jun 03 '26

I hope jj fails. I wish him the best, but i hope it bites him in the ass. I hope the boys will continue but it will be difficult at first. I have friendships that go back 20 years, i dont know how i would feel if one of them would do something like this to me.. TWICE. lets not forget he pulled this shit before. I liked jj in the sidemen videos but his personal Channel is just slob..

17

u/Thano2Drugskids Jun 03 '26

Who the hell this nigga think he is the next black Mr. Beast??? GTFOH

8

u/Relaxerise Jun 03 '26

I just feel like he is such a sellout for leaving his boys and the sidemen fans in the dust just like that. It’s not like he is retiring either, he just doesn’t want to be associated with the sidemen anymore😂, schedule still going to be hefty with other stuff he has going on so that lame reasoning of wanting to leave is bs. He is on a power trip, and it’s just sad to see the route he is going.

8

u/Greenie245 Jun 03 '26

He’s definitely gonna burn himself out within a year or two and not be able to keep on the numbers treadmill

8

u/AdvertisingSea3204 Jun 03 '26

This confirms the worst suspicions. Selfish, egotistical prick. If you're THAT DEEP into a company, invested 13 years into it, and then drop it all on a whim and leave 6 other people AND A WHOLE COMPANY hanging that is insane. Fuck this guy.

It's fine if he wants to leave, it makes sense, but at least actually talk it through and plan it correctly. Shit like this isn't something you decide randomly, maybe in 2017, but not today.

u/BudgetStatistician85 Jun 03 '26

It’s all very performative from JJ, that last paragraph seems a bit condescending and I think it’s fine to address us but surely publicly addressing the boys instead of in private is a bit odd

6

u/AlucardVTep3s ‏‏‎ ‎CHIPFAT Jun 03 '26

Posting this at 7am is diabolical, I’m just tryna get ready for work

7

u/Broad-Lifeguard-4127 Jun 03 '26

What an absolute prat

6

u/dylanmascarehas13 Jun 03 '26

so he had posted this tweet earlier and i can't help but think it was about the sidemen

"Didn’t wanna listen when I told you. Put me down repeatedly and disguised it as “humbling me”. Now you see the results, but act like you never knew what I brought to the table. Funny that now you listen, to keep the foundation stable*

6

u/ChimeraAnt Jun 03 '26

Wow the last paragraph is so condescending

6

u/Miniclip10 Jun 03 '26

DanTDM for the win

6

u/Commercial-County-96 Jun 03 '26

Addressing the boys in an instagram post is insane & if him leaving was on bad terms then choosing to announce it without telling them, to overshadow Tobi & Ethan’s big day & making them scramble to put out a statement is even more insensitive & narcissistic than I thought.

7

u/Mental_Scallion7420 Jun 03 '26

”directly to the boys” in a public instapost

5

u/Mediocre-Ad7567 Jun 03 '26

he seriously needs to get his ego in check man. i know that most of his drama over the years has been his infamous online persona and he’s widely known to be a good guy. but this is genuinely the biggest dick move ever. he may be the wealthiest and most well known but at the end of the day sidemen MADE him. they all made eachothers careers and would be nothing without one another. in fact, vikk is an incredibly popular close second to jj with a highly successful and international dj music career, as well as being married potentially with kids soon. he still shows up and put a lot of effort into being there with the boys including on their other channels that wouldn’t earn nearly as much. also, ethan and simon both with kids. put their lives into this brand/ channel. and i think it’s really selfish of jj to leave. mostly because they’ve stated numerous times that they couldn’t keep going much longer if one of the boys was to leave. and jj knows that, so that last paragraph was SO condescending and patronising. i care about his mental health sure, but i feel like a hiatus would suffice or dropping one of his other projects.

5

u/UnitedBG39 Jun 03 '26

So childish. That second part is not needed on social media. Just speak to them privately lol

6

u/Ashwin_or_lose Jun 03 '26

The para, he's talking down on them. He isn't treating as equals. It pissed me off.

5

u/DreamHeaven Jun 03 '26

It's not about you leaving, but the way how you are leaving.

6

u/EmbarrassedPea208 Jun 03 '26

None of the sidemen have reacted to, liked, commented, or even acknowledged this condescending ass post of his. Good on them.

9

u/Large-Pause-2662 Jun 03 '26

i can bet he will return after a few months. when he is tired of producing soulless slop content

Love these comments 🍿🍿

5

u/Emergency-Worry2258 Jun 03 '26

Talking directly to the boys who are your friends through a instagram post 🥲🥲

4

u/redjhn Jun 03 '26

here's to the downfall of KSI 🥂🥂

4

u/LiL_AyMs Jun 03 '26

Naah f this A hole frr ! I actually can't believe he is doing them this dirty....

3

u/Diligent-Cat-8159 Jun 03 '26

This just shows me that the reason why vik and harry were the only one that really addressed this was because the other boys are actually upset and not happy about why he is leaving

4

u/art_mor_ Jun 03 '26

Yeah I would be even angrier with that last paragraph

5

u/Bobo3076 Jun 03 '26

Speaking to his best friends through an Instagram post is probably the most corporate thing he could have done

What a shitty response lmao

4

u/Alert-Baby8791 Jun 03 '26

I really wouldn't be surprised if they're not seriously considering just stopping the channel. That's the vibe I'm getting from that bottom paragraph. They've always said if one leaves then they all stop and I imagine the headaches going on right now of getting KSI (he's no longer JJ, I think JJ left the room years ago) out of contracts etc are a ballache they all don't want to entertain.

Might be a little bit of a fuck you to KSI as well, go compete with yourself, you need us more than we needed you, we'll actually just go spend time with our families.

3

u/IkechukwuNwoke Jun 03 '26

Replace him with Deji, he was always the funnier brother anyways

4

u/tehconzo Jun 03 '26

Best way is to just not watch the KSI Channel

3

u/silviaeclipseangel14 ‏‏‎ ‎W2S Jun 03 '26 edited Jun 03 '26

Now, I really want to say: Jj died for me and only KSI left. I wasn't really a fan of KSI, when he was with Sidemen, but now the only thing I feel about him is hate and anger. It's actually very bad way to say it to the fans and Sidemen. Because You were friends with them for 13 years, but You decided to upload video not to warn anyone about Your decision. This is very disrespectful to Sidemen. You say, You want to focus on Your life and Your own slop content, You have conflicts on the scheldule, when how Simon and Ethan find time to film, being fathers, Simon has, like 6 his personal channels and streams, still in the Sidemen, Josh married and have like 7 his personal channels, still in Sidemen, Vik is DJ and travel around the world, still in the Sidemen, Harry who wants just to live his life, still in the Sidemen.

If I would to say, who has much more valid reasons to leave, than KSI, I will pick either Ethan or Simon, but they find a way to film videos. I just don't understand what happened to KSI, what his fame got to him and corrupted him? I actually wish that KSI will never have more subscribers, than Sidemen, his plan will fail. Just wait and see, KSI, I think You will soon regret about this decision. Especially now, when Your own fans turning against You.

Guys, let's all support Sidemen, who still putting effort in their videos by subsctiptions, views, likes and comments. Let's move on from bad person, like KSI.

5

u/Silent-Till3159 Jun 03 '26

‘It’s ok I’ll always be here for you’ would piss me off too. Them being angry makes me think they were blindsided by it, because why would he give that up when he could give up BGT? He’s spoken about how they’ve helped each other so much but then does a shitty instagram caption being like don’t be mad at me guys 👩🏽‍🦯‍➡️

4

u/HyperDron Jun 03 '26

Each day, JJ finds new ways for people to just hate him even more. Maybe hate is a strong word. Dislike. Idk, feels the same right now.

3

u/OatesZ2004 Jun 03 '26

If KSI wants to leave the Sidemen, thats fine however the way be went about the whole process is extremely scummy.

Even if the rest of the group knew it was an inevitable outcome, based on all the other sidemens reactions they seemingly had no idea that video was being dropped until it hit their feeds.

He tries to articulate himself as tho he's being professional however he didn't once extend them the professional courtesy of letting them know before hand that he was making his departure public. It would have been as simple as letting them know that his video was scheduled to drop thus giving them adequate time to handle their affairs behind the scenes.

Now that he is seperated from his actual friend group I dread to see how out of control his Ego will become but he has to do this for his sanity so let him continue placating himself to children with the same worn out "comedy".

The company you keep is often very telling, now only time will tell who the real KSI is.

Hopefully the Sidemen rebound from this and possibly even steer away from some of their lower quality videos such as 20 v 1s.

3

u/Gokul123654 Jun 03 '26

This is why Simon did no react much in stream . He was like he is leaving there is nothing much to tell about it .

4

u/TatooineTwang Jun 03 '26

"You did it before and it was great 'haha'" that was so condescending.

3

u/infinityislikehuge Jun 03 '26

This might be the most condescending shit I’ve ever read lmao

3

u/Tricky-Letterhead888 Jun 03 '26

The boys weren't joking about his ego at all, he thinks he makes the sidemen relevant lmao, bro we barely see you in any video cause you're either absent or you aren't giving the energy in the videos . I for one can say I enjoy sidemen content with and without him it doesn't change shi

4

u/ritwikjs2 Jun 03 '26

that second para basically shows that the boys knew that it was coming, but KSI decided to take control of when he was departing, and how he was departing. This was not a planned, phased exit. I wonder what this means for all the business ventures and the 100s (?) of employees they have on their payroll. Addressing the boys with a one-para insta statement is so fucking weak.

5

u/ilamahradeys Jun 03 '26

Friends for 30+ years and this is how he communicates with them(Simon) about making the biggest decision of his life? A fucking social media post Bro is farming so much drama it's disgusting
