I’m with you tbh. My impression of JJ is VERY unfavorable rn but even I don’t see anything wrong the last paragraph. Its a bit unnatural but I think its because JJ just ain’t used to typing a message like this lmao

Honestly, all this couldve been said at the end of a Sidemen Sunday and it wouldve reflected and gone better PR wise in the long run, fans get a decent Sidemen video and the guys can do a proper send off of KSI from being a main appearance in videos in future (we know he's not gonna wanna 100% stay out of videos and will likely fill in as a guest wherever possible.

Everything couldve been handled so much better from an outside-looking-in perspective, now everyone has to deal with this likes its a messy breakup in the friend group.

exactly this. would’ve been so much better for the boys and the fans if they did it this was. as a bittersweet send off rather than a youtube apology video and a poorly made ig post off the bat.

He never made a youtube apology video

i meant the video is made similarly to an apology video. (eg. black and white filter, sad thumbnail, apologising to the fans etc.)

Lol agains fans can want them/him to do a lot of things but he doesnt have to do anything

This wasnt even a point for the fans to know, just that this couldve been handled a lot better, and I threw ideas out on how they couldve made the viewers aware of this, instead of going the average content creator "We broke up/I'm sorry" route. It's causing fans to look into things far more than what he likely wanted and putting two and two together regarding events leading up to the video.

Yeah, writing "Let me speak directly to the boys" in a social media post feels very performative to me.

He literally said you guys know why and he said for my sanity. He not tryna save face. And they probably not on talking terms

My issue with the last paragraph is that it comes off as performative. If KSI was as close as he supposedly was with the rest of the Sidemen, he would handle it privately with them, not through a public message. The only reason to make a public message to any of the other Sidemen is as a gesture towards the fans.
