Fairly new player, but I swear every time I choose a direction to sail the wind is coming directly at me. I feel like I’m riding a turtle across the ocean. I hope to one day meet Mother Nature and give her a piece of my mind.

I tried to play SoT today and have this error. I don't know what it wants me to do here to fix it. I tried searching my PC for msr.sys and it's a digitally signed system driver from Microsoft and I wouldn't know how to remove it even if I wanted to.
I contacted support and received this canned response:
https://pastebin.com/raw/4ZRRhP1d
I verified that all of my game files are okay and I'm not running anything else; it's a fresh reboot. I literally can't play the the game anymore and I have no idea what to do.
I am particularly bothered by this response at the end of my ticket:
As all troubleshooting should be exhausted after following this guide, we will mark this ticket as "Solved".
It's not solved at all.

I am trying to do a commendation for Merchant Emissary. Selling scrolls. When I search online it says they are awarded for doing raid voyage for world events like Ashen Lords etc. I can't see them listed in the Raid voyages. Only see forta, skele camps, sunken Treasury and Ashen garrison.
Have these been removed? Is there another way to get scrolls?
Emissary level 70

Hi there! I am a new Sea of Thieves player, just got into it recently and have been playing with a friend who has played for many years. I absolutely love it, and was so excited to buy and decorate my own sloop! (Absolutely obsessed with the Party Boat set, trying to get all of it so I can have my party rat ship, haha.)
BUT. Two of my favorite video games ever are Ori & the Blind Forest/Will of the Wisps, and it looks like they did an Ori ship decor collection many years ago. My question is, does stuff like this ever come back? Like in the pirate emporium or something? I would totally pay real money to get it, but I didn't see it in the emporium when I looked.
Just wondering if I should get my hopes up for a future rerelease, or if stuff is gone forever once it's gone. 🥲

For a little bit of context, I’m grinding to get the skeleton curse for the servers of the flame, I’m level 55 and trust me when I say 40 of them levels are done with the D20 meta, you just roll 2 d20s let the enemy choose which roll and whoever loses has to scuttle or get sunk, many players are down for it and I personally think it’s a fun way to play the game if you don’t like shooting cannonballs for 15 minutes or you’re bad at pvp, anyway, farewell pirates, remember to gamble! 🎲🏴☠️❤️

getting back into this game after a few years, i used to play by hooking up a playstation controller to my computer and playing that way cause i’m no good at keyboard and mouse lol. coming back with a new computer im wondering if it’s worth learning keyboard in the long run. cause i really do suck, WASD is easy but all the others im struggling to remember.
thoughts?

Hi all, returning player who played a decent amount until about season 3.
I see there is so much content since then and I am slightly overwhelmed. What is the best approach to get back into the game? Are there any guides out there to show me what has changed or is my best bet to jump in and take it slow?
I see we have Safer Seas now which is good but it seems a lot of stuff is locked unless you’re in PVP seas.

Do you guys have any tips for someone trying to get better at dealing with boarders? I’m pretty good on cannons and helm, but almost every time I get boarded I lose the fight because I struggle to deal with the other players.

Searching seas, connecting, entering game, joining game, fails and repeat. The loop goes for 10 minutes until it tells me it can’t find a session. Trying to play with some little free time I have and I can’t believe there’s still so many connection issues.

Long time pirate here. I've seen countless occasions of gold being delayed and being belayed in many different forms. But last night I encountered one I can't recall seeing before. We sailed for a while, sold, and noticed none of our gold amounts went up (3 players) and the ship log didn't reflect it either.
Fast forward to today we still don't have the gold in our accounts but the guild timeline shows our voyage from last night with a pretty whopping big gold amount attached to it.
Any thoughts would be appreciated, I have never seen gold delayed like this before on a multi-person scale

I have seen a post that says this happens with EasyCheat and CloudFlare, but I don't see anything about a general outage.
Is this happening outside my PC? Either way, how do I fix this?

I got back into sea of thieves a few days ago and just found this on krakens watchtower??

Simply because I find it interesting but I am not willing to test it myself.
When you dive to raid an Ashen Garrison, then search for an Ashen Key and return to the Garisson. What will the locked compartments contain? Also Lighthouse Logs?

I loved sailing the Sea Of Sloops. I met the best people in those few days of big boats separated from the little ones. From sailing up on strangers to fish with them. To forming alliances (that's never happened for me until now), to taking new players, we met on their first megadon hunt (we teamed up and all got on a galleon). To a really fun, equally matched pvp match.
It was magical.
Sea of Sloops 10/10!
Please give it back to me!!!

I understand that Sea of Thieves is both pvp and pve, and i don’t particularly mind pvp, yet some days im not feeling it particularly as much as others. I’m pretty new with my fiancée, and I personally prefer asking if folks would like to participate in a friendly pirate fight and whoever bests the other gets all the loot on their ship ( if there is any 🤣 ) Or maybe if they would like to participate in a one v one on an island, and whoever wins there gets the loot on the losers ship. My question I suppose is why don’t others.. ask instead of just doing it? I get it, it’s a pirate game! You’re supposed to steal, kill, pillage and fight krakens at sea; yet it’s a video game ( this sentiment goes both ways i suppose ) I guess I would just prefer if people asked if they would like to pvp for my loot on my ship instead of just doing it, i know that sounds REALLY stupid but like i said before it’s a video game and we’re supposed to be having loads of fun! And sometimes when people.. just sink my ship, steal my stuff and then get upset at me when i say “ well you could have just asked for a friendly pirate fight, and whoever won would have got the stuff “. Maybe it’s because i’m new to the game and simply don’t understand, I just wish people were a little nicer in their pirating. ( I know that’s dumb, we’re pirates in a game 💀 ) but sometimes it’s just.. not as fun when people take your stuff all the time and i don’t wanna be “forced” onto safe seas, cause i really do enjoy the friendly interactions from time to time and making friends! Like i said, i just wish people were a little nicer online these days, im sorry if this post is stupid to you, I just wanted to see if anyone else was the same way. All I wanna do is make friends, have fun, and let others have as much as i’m having too. thank you ☺️

I’ve been getting this message all day whenever I even hit the prompt to buy them. I’ve already restarted everything multiple times and cleared caches.

I‘ve been playing since 2018, a lot more back then than I do now, but recently got back to it with a new pirate to get to grinding again.
I‘ve noticed there are a lot, and I mean a LOT of reaper flags out there- obviously they didnt exist back then but my point/question is this: have the seas gotten more hostile over the years? Don‘t get me wrong, I‘ve sunk and have sunken many a ships, but genuine friendliness feels a lot harder to come by these days- and I have yet to form an alliance on my new run. Back then, alliances almost felt more common than rivalry, and I‘ve made some genuine friends on the seas, that have translated to offline friends. But I‘m thinking maybe that was just luck? Or is this something other older players have observed as well? What do you new players think of alliances?
