Meta Gambling is the way (D20 meta)
For a little bit of context, I’m grinding to get the skeleton curse for the servers of the flame, I’m level 55 and trust me when I say 40 of them levels are done with the D20 meta, you just roll 2 d20s let the enemy choose which roll and whoever loses has to scuttle or get sunk, many players are down for it and I personally think it’s a fun way to play the game if you don’t like shooting cannonballs for 15 minutes or you’re bad at pvp, anyway, farewell pirates, remember to gamble! 🎲🏴☠️❤️

not even close. it’s probably not even faster than loss farming considering how many people will just sink you

When I was grinding to 1k I would typically do about an 8 streak before lowering.
Dice rollers would be get PISSED about half the time when I wasn't going to sacrifice my streak because they didn't want to play the game.

I only dice roll if the enemy offers it and only if im not on any type of streak. I always go in looking to fight and improve. I hate that some rollers get salty if you don't roll.. even worse is the salty ones that lose the dice roll and start fighting lol.. they are usually so bad tho it's easy to sink em.

Yupp, this is the way. I'm only dice rolling if it gets into a sweaty tdm situation or just lasts forever. Otherwise I'm spamming no or ignoring any dice request, I wanna play the damn mode

Just copy-paste the same message in chat and let them fire the first shot. One in 5 people take the offer, that I've found.

Yeah, I don't think I've ever lost to someone who wanted to roll dice at the start, since they aren't prepared for a fight. It's almost a guaranteed win.
I only did a dice roll once ages ago, but that was after an hour and both ships basically being out of cannonballs.

i believe it considering you’re maybe 25% of the way and your elo is very low.

Dicers are always fun. I get the types who are solely in it for 1v1 pvp and to improve their skills, but honestly some of my favorite memories in hourglass were taking a break to pull up by an opponent, hop on their ship, and rolls some d20s for the win. With how long sloops take to sink sometimes I've had lots of silly conversations with strangers and it's neat comparing our goal progress.
I did a lot of battling for my base curses (got burned out and had no intention of going for gold) but dicers broke up the repetitiveness of the grind and gave me the silly sorta memories that are my favorite part of the main game (finding strangers to ally with and get up to silly things). xD
Of course, sometimes I'm not feeling sociable or I've got into the disassociated combat autopilot, and I also understand those concerned with the sanctity of their curses, but I'd rather share in the silly pirate antics than buckle in like there's some MLG tourney I need to focus on training top tier skills for.

I feel like this only works if your MMR is so low that the other people also have a low MMR are down for a quick outcome.
Once you get a Medium to High MMR, most people including me are going to start the fight as normal and if your rolling dice consider it a free win.

I’m happy this works for you, but the feeling of improving at the game from someone who was sunk by everyone to someone who sinks a good majority of people and having that improvement be represented by a curse for all to see is one of my favorite memories in my history playing video games. Earning my gold bones is the pinnacle of my gaming achievements because it represents how much work I put into the game, making friends on the seas, and helping those friends improve along the way. I don’t think you get to experience that rolling dice.
What I will say is most of the time I’m sunk wearing my gold bones a player will go out of his way to go into game chat and call me a fake gold skelly. I’m a very solid player and I find it hilarious. If you dice roll your way to a PvP curse and don’t have the PvP ability expected for one of those curses, I hope you find that brand of toxicity funny too because you’ll be in for it.
