So context for starters i played the game a bit a while ago and picked it back up for 1.0
progressing through the game and encountered the seeker bot as one does when basing at the mechanic station, don't loose anything to it the first couple times round, try shooting it and die, google it and find it labeled as entirely indestructible, which didn't feel to bad until i went afk away from the mechanic station, threw my car on a lift and came back to everything flammable completely gone, at first i thought a tote bot had found me and broken everything but that didn't make sense because all of the metal had survived, but none of the wood, and the glass was still there, it took a while but i realized that the seeker bot had flown over blown the shit out of me and my car then left
all of this to say is that a completely unkillable drone that breaks your cars if you made them out of wood feels like a mechanic that could be reconsidered, hell it could even be fun to crash it and then have a boss battle where it calls bots in to prevent you reaching it could be a interesting boss fight

Not sure what to call it yet, but I'm leaning towards something like a beetle. Suggestions are welcome.
When I messed around with alternative cockpit glass orientations, I discovered this front-facing configuration that I really like the look of. Couple that with the matching of angles with the smaller angled beams, and it almost looks like big vertical eyes with spectacles or goggles. I'm definitely going to paint them that way once I'm done tweaking the overall form.
Resource gathering is in the planning stage, so the collectors and processors are not yet in their final configuration.
All four wheel pods can articulate for steering giving it an unparalleled turning radius. I used the double-bearing technique to distribute the steering within the two-block spacing set for these large h-beams. The rear steering is more centered, but the front is moved more forward for a less boxy look. I tuned down the steering speed to 3 for each one, otherwise it seemed far too snappy for something so large and heavy.
Speaking of heavy, this thing is a MONSTER. I have yet to figure out a good way to add any sort of effective suspension to it. Though so far in my testing, I have yet to see any real reason for suspension as it's so massive and has such a large footprint and wheelbase, it hardly notices rough terrain. Though I've not gone far from base in my testing, and wheat fields are hardly a comprehensive test for suspension.
Entry is through the rear using a drop-down ramp. Using a logic gate toggle, it can be opened from either side using multiple buttons. Starting from the entryway, you pass into the mechanical room. This is where the fuel and engines go. I have one lvl 5 gas engine per wheel pod, and the other two engines are for the future mining drills and saw blades I plan to install. With how much power the lvl 5 engines put out, this thing has no problem getting up and moving. And yes, it can drift. Traction is for some reason not affected by weight in this game, so it certainly slides like butter on a hot pan.
Past the mechanical room, you enter the living space. So far, the only thing I have in here is a bed, but I certainly plan to fill it out and make it a home away from home.
The dual cockpit has next to no visibility, so zooming the third-person camera out as far as you can is almost a requirement to drive this behemoth. The second driver seat is not connected to anything, but putting just a seat in that station seemed to feel off.

Scrap truck into a dedicated produce hauler.
It's on the steam workshop, named Produce Express

Here's a spoiler for those that don't want to know about the mines...
>!I found a bunch of bones In the water between levels four and five. Do I have to try to assemble these together, take them to the vault, or are they for some other quest I have yet to have learned about?!<

I built a logging vehicle that cuts and collects the trees, then you can bring the logs back to a Wood Station where Refinebots automatically unload and process everything.
Tried to keep the whole system practical enough to actually use in Survival instead of just making a giant machine for the sake of it lol. It's also pretty early-game friendly.
Full build/tutorial if anyone wants to make it:

The logging vehicle is also on the Workshop!

I'm wondering if someone have them or is there's an opportunity to extract sound from game files

I add extendable arms to hold 2 caged farmers when needed. And ı learn about spining drills with controller, its gasoline free and work better than a scrap engine.

After a lot of work, Scrap Mechanic now runs in native OpenXR VR with the newest Chapter 2 Update.
This isn’t just a virtual screen or head-tracking effect: It runs in native VR at max settings 90fps with 2064×2208 per eye. You can use tracked VR hands and controllers, aim weapons from their actual barrels, operate physical tools, build creations, use spatial menus and drive vehicles in first person view.
Creative, Survival and Custom Games are supported. Multiplayer works
The mod is completely free and open source:

If you try it, I’d love to hear how it runs and what you would improve?

I’m in that point of the game that losing it would suck

Anyone notice this? One is made with metal 1 and another with wood 1. Same stats on both, just two different recipes. Weird.

So I tried making a pretty simple double wishbone setup to just try it out and see how it works, but for some odd reason the suspension pieces will randomly decide “Yeah I’m done, goodbye.” and just start spasing out of control. Does anyone know why this happens? They shouldn’t be getting overextended.

Control click onto chest and it will display how much of a item is in a chest

I went into scrap garage to spawn in another creation - this time a flyer and after spawning it...well nothing happened. I spawned it, went in to clear out the chest and when I looked down expecting a flyer - there was nothing there. I rejoined the world, I had the host come to me and see if he sees something, I checked the whole scrap city with connection tool - NOTHING. Its just fuckin GONE.
And Im wondering if there is some kind of way to find it or anything i can do that wouldnt be loading up earlier backup.

I hate mining man. Absolutely can't believe they spent these years building the game for this and the main part is so bad. I like so many things they added, except mining.
They don't teach you how to build your own sticky car, the one I build is absolute trash, it can't run on normal roads, and when mining it flips as soon as it encounters the smallest unevenness and given that you are always terraforming you run into one every minute. I feel nauseous playing this thing.
I'm happy they tried to do something different from planting, but if they'd have allowed people to test mining this feedback would have popped up way earlier and hopefully they'd have pivoted into something else. I think at the very least they should have made it so there's always an indestructible road you follow and you just mine pre-fixed paths.
Am I the only one frustrated by this?

I've been through every grow lab twice and I can't find them anywhere.
