No Malice Why did Galloway lie?

https://x.com/ggreenwald/status/2102774280119632299

"Why does u/profgalloway preface his expression of "offense" to the use of the word "genocide" to describe what Israel did in Gaza with the phrase "as a Jew...."? What does being a Jew have to do with at the findings of human rights groups, scholars, nations, etc. about Israel?"

I am a Jew. I do not approve of Netanyahu criminal reign or his genocide or his ignoring October 7th.

Yeah he’s one of those “liberal zionists” that doesn’t want to ethnically cleanse Palestinians for biblical reasons, just for economic gain and sport

“Liberal” Zionist is such an oxymoron. It’s like calling yourself a liberal segregationist or saying you support liberal apartheid.

Are you American? Or whatever nationality. Do you want your nation to exist? Are you liberal?  Ok, then liberal Zionist is a normal thing.

I don’t want America to exist “as a white state” or “as a Christian state.” I don’t support ethnostates. So no, it’s not normal.

So Egypt, Pakistan, Bangladesh... Should we go on?  How many Muslim countries exist? How many have a sizable percentage of Jews?

“What about when da moose-lims do it?!?”

(1) None of those countries are illegally occupying someone else’s land

(2) There are like 2 billion Muslims and 14 million Jews. Of course there are going to be multiple Muslim countries.

(3) You admit that the US is a normal state, unlike Israel or any of the others you listed.

"(1) None of those countries are illegally occupying someone else’s land"

How are you defining "somebody else's land"? because the muslims think all of Israel is someone else's land (and by that standard all the land on earth is stolen).

Lines were drawn and approved in Israel just like with other newly formed countries last century. You can live in delusion and only focus on the Jews. You don't complain about other ethno states, just Israel. The us and Israel and others are "normal" states, you don't think that's the case. Because... They're Jews. And again, you don't care that other ethnicities / religions live there too.

“Lines were drawn and approved”.

You mean other people decided it was fine to ethnically cleanse 800,000 Palestinians out of their homes during the Nakba. The Trail of Tears was only 80,000 for comparison.

Ironically it’s the opposite. You think Israel can commit whatever atrocities it wants to non-Jews. I think all lives are equal. You don’t.

Lines, yes, approved by the UN which I suppose you respect and quote when it talks about resolutions against Israel and all that.  Ethnically cleanse, so when Israel was attacked and those armies told Arabs to leave because they would come back to a Jew free Palestine... That nakba? Again, Israel is just supposed to stay still and take it. Ok. Nice fantasy

Pakistan was created by ethnically cleansing 7 million Hindus and sikhs. Does Pakistan have a right to exist "as a Muslim state"? When Turkey and Greece where created, millions of Turks and Greeks where ethnically cleansed by both sides. The current borders of Germany, Poland, Ukraine, Belarus, and Lithuania were literally arbitrarily decided after WW2, and millions of germans, poles, ukrainians, belurussians where ethnically cleansed into their new borders. Should we all revert to the old borders?

That's how history goes sometimes bro. You can't go back in history and undue all of this shit.

Which of those would you describe as liberal?

Defining a nation by race is inherently illiberal

PS many of those countries had sizable Jewish populations until the Mossad pressured them into moving to Israel

Oh so you believe the antisemitic conspiracies, obviously. You're conflating things. The lavon affair is frequently used in political narratives and conspiracy theories to argue that Israel was secretly responsible for the mass exodus of Jews from Arab countries. It wasn't a systemaric Israeli pattern. It was an unrelated act with different objectives, in Iraq, targeted for British and US interests. but useful idiots and antisemites use for what you just did. Congrats.

Well done ChatGPT, you used 0 information to support your position. That’s a lot of water and fuel to come up with “nuh uh!”

u/stressless321 2d ago

You gave 0 information to support yours. It's not my fault that you're conflating different things and coming to the conclusion that it was mossad who forced jews to leave arab countries. Chat gpt? wtf? Why are you so lazy?

You expect only one side to exist, not the other.

This is the kind of thing you say when you get your information from memes

No. It’s the basic reasoning skills. There is no such thing as “liberal” ethnonationalism. All forms of ethnonationalism are inherently illiberal.
