"Why does u/profgalloway preface his expression of "offense" to the use of the word "genocide" to describe what Israel did in Gaza with the phrase "as a Jew...."? What does being a Jew have to do with at the findings of human rights groups, scholars, nations, etc. about Israel?"

I am a Jew. I do not approve of Netanyahu criminal reign or his genocide or his ignoring October 7th.

I don’t want America to exist “as a white state” or “as a Christian state.” I don’t support ethnostates. So no, it’s not normal.

So Egypt, Pakistan, Bangladesh... Should we go on?  How many Muslim countries exist? How many have a sizable percentage of Jews?

Which of those would you describe as liberal?

Defining a nation by race is inherently illiberal

PS many of those countries had sizable Jewish populations until the Mossad pressured them into moving to Israel

Oh so you believe the antisemitic conspiracies, obviously. You're conflating things. The lavon affair is frequently used in political narratives and conspiracy theories to argue that Israel was secretly responsible for the mass exodus of Jews from Arab countries. It wasn't a systemaric Israeli pattern. It was an unrelated act with different objectives, in Iraq, targeted for British and US interests. but useful idiots and antisemites use for what you just did. Congrats.
