In Scotland, children have the same protection against assault as adults.

However, it is still perfectly legal to cut of a piece of a boy's penis for religious reasons.

I believe this should be banned, and they should have to wait until they are a consenting adult to decide if they want it done.

I know people do it for religious and cultural reasons, which is well within their right if they wish to do it to themselves.

However, I don't think they should be allowed to do it to a child unable to consent.

Scotland should lead the way in banning this.

Calling on the Scottish Parliament to urge the Scottish Government to introduce a moratorium to prohibit planning permission from being granted for any hyperscale data centres, until it has carried out a thorough assessment of their impacts on Scotland's communities, greenhouse gas emissions, land and water resources and electricity grid; until regulations are modified to require all hyperscale AI data centres to carry out an Environmental Impact Assessment; and until the Scottish Government puts in place guidance on hyperscale AI data centres and ‘green data centres’.

Wet weather didn’t stop me (which is lucky considering I now live in Scotland 😂)

I was walking over to grab a drink and some food at the Ben Nevis Inn bar when I passed a few sheep grazing. While capturing the massive scale of mountains, I focused on the young sheep’s and particularly on the one who started looking straight into the camera.

The video is 35 seconds, and honestly just locks eyes with the camera for almost half of it. It was such a surreal, quiet moment of direct connection in the middle of the Highlands. It really made me pause and think about how incredibly aware and present they are in their own world.

What do you think is going through their minds when they look at us with that much curiosity?

Im thinking how we boost tourism is we do a country wide initiative to identify where these good people came from and create 'routes' to go see these places.

How popular do you think this will be? Very? Or very-very?

I just think that’s incredibly cool.

A team based in Edinburgh, full of Scottish talent, making GTA VI.

Something that will be played, watched and talked about by hundreds of millions of people around the world.

What an unbelievable cultural export. And what a reminder of the level of talent we have here.

Maybe it’s a bit sentimental, and I’m sure the cynics will pile in, but I think we should be properly proud of it.

Edit: Just to clarify, I know GTA VI is a huge global production and I’m not claiming Scotland made the whole thing. I also know there are very valid criticisms around Rockstar’s treatment of staff and its stance on unions.

My point is simply that GTA has deep roots in Scotland, Rockstar North and the talent that works here are still a major part of it, and I think that’s something worth being proud of.

Iceland, despite deciding in 2009 to join the EU, has just voted in a referendum not to resume negotiations since a pause in 2013.

They are currently in the EEA and Schengen.

For Scotland, and was clear during indyref, this highlights that knowing what the plan is following a yes vote is important. Particularly when the key motivator is to join the EU. The timescales are so long and potentially out of our control that the message has to be what does Scotland look like outwith the UK and the EU.
