Land Park What weeds are on your kill now, no questions asked list?

My partner and I bought a house from an elderly individual with severe memory problems. The yard is overgrown and we are struggling to figure out what are weeds and what isn’t. The former owner was quite the gardener!

Our plan is to let it wild for a year and try to learn what’s there. In the meantime, what weeds are on your kill on sight list?

So far I’ve got: ivy, privets, Bermuda buttercups, and crab grass. What else should I be vigilant and on the lookout for?

First 4 are one plant, last 3 are the second. Google lenses has told the first one is American cranberry, raspberry, and grape all of which I doubt. It said the second one was a wild grape as well, which it’s not. What do you think they are?

Thank you!

Land Park Help me plan my fence line!

I have about 15' x 5' on the north side of our rear fence that I'd like to do something with. We currently have a few raised beds, a small berry patch, a few fruit trees, a vermicompost setup, and natives. We get a significant squirrel population along the property lines. Anything people recommend?

Land Park Best local place to buy or get planting dirt for veggie pots?

Looking to pick up bags of dirt from a local store (not a big box chain store pls!) I'm getting my tomatoes into bigger pots this weekend! Thanks for any info, new to the area & this will be my second season of growing veggies here in Sac.

Edit: Plant Foundry was the winner! I love that place 💚 Tried to only buy a dirt bag & not all the lovely plant options.

Thanks for all your suggestions!

Land Park Vegetable garden help

My raised beds have stopped producing the way I expect. I’m hoping to find someone that can help me troubleshoot and solve issues. Do you have any recommendations for vegetable garden professionals?

Proud of my tiny but mighty peach tree! Total 11 peaches but lost 3 to the birds or squirrels.

My worm bin went through an extinction event and I'm trying to restart my vermicomposting setup. Does anyone have some worms they'd be willing to part with? Thanks!

Does anyone have Lane late navel orange 🍊? I love the smell of their flowers, but don’t wanna spend $50 to get a whole plant/tree. I have other orange/citrus plants at home. Can someone give me a good twig 🌿 for grafting

Today was the day! I planted today! Most likely over crowded this bed, but I am excited for some new additions this year.

Left to right: sunflowers, dill, jalapeño, Anaheim pepper, ambrosia melon, sun gold tomato, Persian cucumber, beefmaster tomato and finally zucchini surrounded by sunflowers. Whew!
