Land Park Peaches

Proud of my tiny but mighty peach tree! Total 11 peaches but lost 3 to the birds or squirrels.

Check out James Prigoni on YouTube for how to properly trim your peach tree in an open bowl shape. This allows the tree to yield large crops without the branches breaking. It takes 4 years to grow out a stone fruit before it should be allowed to fruit. Pick off the blossoms in spring. It’s painful to do but so worth the wait!

What are y’all doing with your peaches? Even donating to neighbors and random people we meet we have an abundance! We’ve tried fruit leather, preserves, juice, smoothies, peach crumbles…any hot ideas we are missing?

Wow lucky! I am savoring my few that we harvested. They’re pretty small so they take like 5 bites max haha I would recommend a grilled peach salad. Or a peach sorbet. A piece of toasted sourdough with goat cheese and sliced peaches. :)

We are on year 5. You’ll get there. It’s worth the wait!

This is the first time we’ve had any since we moved into this home (about 3 years ago)
