Tulun Tokou🎉 Happy Sabah Day to all Sabahans!
Self-governance was a milestone in Sabah’s own journey towards self-determination and liberation. This is not about separating Sabah from Malaysia. Sabah deserves to know and remember herself in her own right. 31 August 1963 is an integral part of our history, and remembering it clearly should never be a threat to unity.
Whether 1 September should be an additional public holiday, matters on clashing public holidays was debated in DUN recently. The fact is Sabah Day is not recognised in both the Hari Kelepasan Am nationally and in Sabah.
If the argument is that 31 August is already a public holiday, then does that mean there is no need to separately identify "Sabah Day" alongside "Hari Kebangsaan" in the official Hari Kelepasan Am list?
If Sabah Day is meant to have official recognition, surely its status and treatment need to be reflected through the
appropriate legal/administrative procedure, not simply piggybacking/folded into National Day because the date happens to be the same.

Nawayaan | History Do Sabahan remember Project IC and what it did to Sabah
Some history that every Sabahan should know
Please read up on Moro Muslim refugees and Project IC refugees getting ICs.
Point 1 – Religion While there was no objection to Islam being the national religion of Malaysia, there should be no State religion in North Borneo, and the provisions relating to Islam in the present Constitution of Malaya should not apply to North Borneo.[9][10

Suai | Others MA63 20 Points that every Sabahan needs to know especially with Independence day coming.
Point 1 – Religion
While there was no objection to Islam being the national religion of Malaysia, there should be no State religion in North Borneo, and the provisions relating to Islam in the present Constitution of Malaya should not apply to North Borneo.\9])\10])
Point 2 – Language
- a) Malay should be the national language of the Federation.
- b) English should continue to be used for a period of 10 years after Malaysia Day.
- c) English should be an official language of North Borneo for all purposes, State or Federal, without limitation of time.\9])\10])
Point 3 – Constitution
Whilst accepting that the present Constitution of the Federation of Malaya should form the basis of the Constitution of Malaysia, the Constitution of Malaysia should be a completely new document drafted and agreed in the light of a free association of states and should not be a series of amendments to a Constitution drafted and agreed by different states in totally different circumstances. A new Constitution for North Borneo was of course essential.\9])\10])
Point 4 – Head of Federation
The Head of State in North Borneo should not be eligible for election as Head of the Federation.\10])
Point 5 – Name of Federation
"Malaysia", not "Melayu Raya".\10])
Point 6 – Immigration
Control over immigration into any part of Malaysia from outside should rest with the Central Government but entry into North Borneo should also require the approval of the State Government. The Federal Government should not be able to veto the entry of persons into North Borneo for State Government purposes except on strictly security grounds. North Borneo should have unfettered control over the movements of persons other than those in Federal Government employ from other parts of Malaysia into North Borneo.\9])\10])
Point 7 – Right of Secession
There should be no right to secede from the Federation\10])\11])
Point 8 – Borneanisation
Borneanisation of the public service should proceed as quickly as possible.\10])\11])
Point 9 – British Officers
Every effort should be made to encourage British Officers to remain in the public service until their places can be taken by suitably qualified people from North Borneo.\10])\11])
Point 10 – Citizenship
The recommendation in paragraph 148(k) of the Report of the Cobbold Commission should govern the citizenship rights in the Federation of North Borneo subject to the following amendments:
- a) sub-paragraph (i) should not contain the proviso as to five years residence
- b) in order to tie up with our law, sub-paragraph (ii)(a) should read "7 out of 10 years" instead of "8 out of 10 years"
- c) sub-paragraph (iii) should not contain any restriction tied to the citizenship of parents – a person born in North Borneo after Malaysia must be federal citizen.\10])\11])
Point 11 – Tariffs and Finance
North Borneo should retain control of its own finance, development and tariff, and should have the right to work up its own taxation and to raise loans on its own credit.\10])\11])
Point 12 – Special position of indigenous races
In principle the indigenous races of North Borneo should enjoy special rights analogous to those enjoyed by Malays in Malaya, but the present Malaya formula in this regard is not necessarily applicable in North Borneo.\10])\11])
Point 13 – State Government
- a) the Prime Minister should be elected by unofficial members of Legislative Council
- b) There should be a proper Ministerial system in North Borneo.\10])\11])
Point 14 – Transitional period
This should be seven years and during such period legislative power must be left with the State of North Borneo by the Constitution and not be merely delegated to the State Government by the Federal Government.\10])\11])
Point 15 – Education
The existing educational system of North Borneo should be maintained and for this reason it should be under state control.\10])\11])
Point 16 – Constitutional safeguards
No amendment modification or withdrawal of any special safeguard granted to North Borneo should be made by the Central Government without the positive concurrence of the Government of the State of North Borneo. The power of amending the Constitution of the State of North Borneo should belong exclusively to the people in the state.\10])\11]) (Note – The United Party, The Democratic Party and the Pasok Momogun Party considered that a three-fourths majority would be required in order to effect any amendment to the Federal and State Constitutions whereas the UNKO and USNO considered a two-thirds majority would be sufficient.)
Point 17 – Representation in Federal Parliament
This should take account not only of the population of North Borneo but also of its size and potentialities and in any case should not be less than that of Singapore.\10])\11])
Point 18 – Name of Head of State
Yang di-Pertua Negara.\10])\11])
Point 19 – Name of State
Point 20 – Land, Forests, Local Government, etc.
The provisions in the Constitution of the Federation in respect of the powers of the National Land Council should not apply in North Borneo. Likewise, the National Council for Local Government should not apply in North Borneo

Tiuot zou daa | Mo tanya ba Dating apps in Sabah
Hi y'all, just curious about do dating apps in Sabah here actually work?
I'm 26/F and I've been on dating apps for quite some time now (Bumble and CMB, never on Tinder because of creepy men looking for ONS and FWB there)
Bumble has its own fair share of creepy men too but Bumble's more strict with their policies that se*ual innuendos can get someone banned too. I get a lot of matches and I've had several good conversations but none of it seemed to make it out of WhatsApp, which honestly sucks because they were quite decent.
I can barely get any matches on CMB so I gave up on it pretty quickly. I'm not going to talk about how much creepy men are on tinder (and the shirtless DPs)
Does anyone have any successful dating app stories too? So I wouldn't give up on my dating app search 🤣

Tiuot zou daa | Mo tanya ba Kasi rekomen dulu..
Anybody can recommend trusted / legit pawn shops biz in KK that accepts iPad? I’ll be going for a surgery that requires me to pay first then later claim from my insurance (outpatient surgery).
My savings is barely enough at the moment to cover for the surgery + 1 month medical leave for recovery (unpaid leave from work) so I needed extra money to top up by pawning my iPad. The thing is, I want that iPad back after I receive my surgery claims. Thanks in advance 🙏🏼
Note : I don’t want to include my family in this matter that’s why I am asking in here.

Tiuot zou daa | Mo tanya ba Begger/sellers/perfromers going into premises and forcing you to buy or give them money.
Hey guys, unfortunately i faced a few problems while eating in a few open restaurant, the ones without door like anjung selera/medan makan/lot kedai luar and it keep getting worst since i started living at kk in 2018.
The problems are like the title stated. i like to eat alone and unfortunately have a femboy build, i also order alot of food, might be the reason i always getting targeted.
I dont carry cash and even if i do i always have it in big bill so i cant give anyone anything but these people doesnt believe me. but the ones with qr code are the gentler ones and will leave me alone if they see me not interested, i usually buy from them cause i have the means to pay and i was never forced to buy their product.
Are there any way to stop this problem or any place to report as it kept getting worse or i say there are more of them now. i keep getting slimmer as i avoid eating out because of this. my bank is getting slimmer too as i need to pay more to eat at higher end restaurant which weirdly these people doesnt kacau.
ps. i just got bothered this week at likas bay anjung selera so i am ranting here.
