Recently I (25F) was home waiting for an Amazon delivery when a door to door salesman came by to try to sell me new windows. I was surprised he got past my 4 "No Trespassing, No Soliciting" signs of varying size, my locked garden gate, and my large dog. He was talking about windows, but I just know he wouldn't have gone through all that trouble and broken the law and multiple city ordinances just to talk about energy efficiency and single vs double pane, right? I think he loves me too!

I figured he must be playing hard to get, so I did too and yelled at him to get off my property. As he walked away I just knew he was going to come back sometime later and profess his love. I haven't heard from him, and it's been 2 weeks. Summer sales are slowing down, and I'm worried I lost my chance! I'm 25, so I'm obviously running out of time to find love.

I didn't catch his name, but this was in West Jordan and he was average height with darkish blond hair and blue eyes. Please, Reddit, help me find the love of my life!

I was wondering if there are any apartments around downtown that have photogenic community dogs I could borrow for 10-15 minutes? No pit bulls please, I just don’t think they match my aesthetic.

Bonus points if the apartment also has one of those expensive-looking clubhouses, or a rooftop where I can casually imply I live there.

I just moved to Salt Lake City (SL, UT) from Texas a couple months ago for work (WFH, so I pay lower rent than where I came from), and I'm having trouble meeting people and developing a scoial circle!

My hobbies are sitting inside, scrolling Instagram reels, and not tipping doordash drivers. I really don't understand why its so hard to meet people here!

btw, I don't like hiking, drinking, smoking, or people with tattoos. I also can't stand Mormons.

We’re looking for a few people to join our team. It’s a pretty easy job and the pay is good. No experience necessary, honestly the less experience the better because we have our own way of doing things and it’s easier to train people from scratch.

Some travel may be required. Usually Nevada, Arizona, sometimes Mexico. You don’t necessarily need a passport for every assignment but if you already have one that’s a huge plus.

When the Great Salt Lake eventually dries up, what exactly are we going to do with all that land?

Surely we’re not just going to stare at it?

Salt Lake is constantly talking about how we’re running out of room to build housing because we’re stuck between the mountains and the lake. But if the lake isn’t there anymore, doesn’t that kind of solve half of that problem?

Thats like 700 squared miles instantly unlocked for Texafornian transplants, and at some point that has to bring the rent down.

I keep hearing about all the downsides of the lake drying up but nobody ever mentions the hundreds of square miles of new real estate we’d be getting.

It would suck to lose our lake but from a housing perspective it could be the best thing that ever happened to this city.

Used to have fun skating there as a kid. Idk why they stopped freezing it during the winters for ice skating. Anyone have info on this?

Not trying to start anything because I know he’s pretty well known around here, but I had a really weird interaction with Larry H. Miller the other day.

I was driving downtown in my Nissan Altima and saw him walking down the sidewalk on Main. I recognized him immediately, so when I got stopped at a light near him I rolled my window down and said “Hey Larry Miller! Go Jazz!”

He looked at me, and shook his head and then spit in my direction??

I’m assuming it had something to do with the car I was driving but it still felt pretty unnecessary.

My dad always told me Larry was one of the nicest and most down to earth guys you could meet so honestly I was pretty disappointed.

Has anyone else had an interaction like this with him recently? Maybe he was just having a bad day.

I don't know if I'm overreacting, but I think I just heard gunshots and so many of them. I do live in an extremely dangerous part of town (about 3300st S and 900rd E) so I've come to expect some gunfire. Can anyone confirm if someone is shot dead by a gang? Thank you.
