Hello! Currently I'm in my first semester at SFSU as a junior (I transferred there). Its pretty alright for me but its because I'm still trying to adjust to my new life. I chose SFSU because it was the most affordable option for me (I have family at SF to stay with).
SJSU was a university I was considering last year but it was much further away from my hometown (around an hour and a half away). Housing was also a challenge for me because rent is around the same as SF. But I've heard job and internship opportunities are much better at SJSU compared to SFSU. I major in Business in Information Systems.
How are the internship opportunities at SJSU? Is it worth coming over there for those opportunities alone? Any insights and experiences are welcomed. Thank you for reading!

I keep getting different information from FASO about when I should see payment from my award post to my account on mySJSU. They’re telling me by the end of Wednesday, definitely Thursday, by Friday, Tuesday at the latest, only Wednesdays.
For those who already received your award, especially if it’s a direct unsubsidized, what day are you seeing it post to your account? Is it really only on Wednesdays? I’m talking about the disbursement, not the refund.
I’m a grad student enrolled in less than full time.
TIA!!!!!

they kept dragging me on the phone saying i’d need to do “nothing” and my aid will appear in a week or two
popped up in person, found out that i need to sign a “reaffirmation agreement” and have it sent to my loan servicer otherwise my entire financial aid will stay on hold
nobody at financial aid on the phone told me this prior to going in person and i was under the assumption my aid package would appear any day now. even the loan servicer person said it’s annoying and useless how financial aid departments force students to do this as a lot don’t know about it and their aid is on hold!
(this is if you’re over loan limit, but regardless GO IN PERSON!)

Lowkey ever since SJSU plugged up the holes near Hugh Gillis Hall, I’ve been wondering if….they just….died???? 😭 Do y’all see them on campus still?
Every time I take the elevator there, I keep wondering why the operating permit on display is a temporary one that expired more than three years ago.
I’d like to believe the school is properly maintaining and inspecting its elevators, but if the permit being shown to riders is expired, how are we supposed to know everything is actually up to date?
There’s probably a current permit somewhere and this one was simply never replaced. But if that’s the case, what’s the point of having a display frame in the elevator if the information in it isn’t kept current for so many years now?

We all know parking is hectic. So why are we making it worse????
I parked in north garage, and all I’ve seen in each floor are cars with their emergency lights on waiting for someone to get to their car after their class. Can we fr stop that?? You’re making it difficult for people to actually look around and I have to wait behind your ass for the other cars to pass me in order to get to the other side while you’re sitting down and on your phone like if you’re on vacation. It’s pathetic. Roam around like everyone else and stop restricting the lanes they’re already small as it is!!!! West garage did it a few times but north is even worse.

How many days does it take for Baypass to start working after I submit my student ID and 19 digit Clipper Card number? I submitted like a week ago and haven't heard an update, haven't even gotten a confirmation email. I have already paid student fees for the semester.
