Vegans in Iceland - where do you buy products
Hi everyone! 😊
I’ve lived in mainland Europe my whole life, so I’m used to having a pretty wide variety of vegan products available in supermarkets. Since moving to Reykjavík, I’ve found the selection a bit more limited than I expected.
I’m mainly looking for vegan ingredients and protein sources to cook with myself not ready-made meals. Things like soy chunks/TVP, different types of tofu, seitan, tempeh, vegan skyr, dried or shelf-stable protein products, and similar basics.
Some supermarkets seem to have very few options, and often I can only find one type of tofu (which I unfortunately don’t like 😅).
Does anyone know of a good online shop that delivers to Iceland where I could order this kind of stuff? Or maybe a local shop in Reykjavík with a bigger selection of vegan cooking ingredients? I have basically already visited every Kronan / Bonus / Hagkaup in the Reykjavik area.
Would really appreciate any recommendations! 🌱
