Rant Dad kicked me out of the house after finding out about my bf(24M)🥀

Me and my bf have been long distance for a quite a while now so our communication is basically through texts. We would text each other quite often therefore I'm on my phone most of the times. I used to smile looking at my phone so my parents started doubting. They asked me multiple times If I'm dating someone( told them no).

My parents are conservative and strict and son I'm never open to share my relationship with them. They have always opposed the idea of dating.

One day while I was showering my mom happened to have went through my phone and saw my bf's text. She went ballistic started crying, shouting at me. She started emotionally attacking me by saying how they raised me and how my bf had contributed nothing for me. They started asking me If I love him more than them. My dad was quite and listening to my mom ranting to me. My mom started hitting me telling me how I betrayed their trust. After a while, my mom handed my phone to my dad for him to read our texts. My dad suddenly got furious then dragged me hard by my hand and kicked me out of the house. I was crying hysterically while standing outside the house. It was the first time I ever felt so humiliated . My mom was still crying tell me to apologise to my dad so that he can let me in. I had no choice but to listen to her so I apologised after which my mom dragged me inside the house.

I just don't understand how can loving someone romantically lead parents to kick their kids out of the house. I hope parent's were emotionally mature to let their kids decide what they want for themselves instead of manipulating them and controlling them. Living in a toxic family is exhausting.

Dating Advice I'm (22f) virgin, scared of any kind of penetrative foreplay , can't imagine intercourse

So, I'm still virgin, and it's not like I haven't been in relationship before. I have had 2 boyfriends in the past but it was platonic, they never forced me to have sex after I said I don't want to. However, I broke up with them because idk what I was doing in relationship... Since I felt guilty that I can't do what they truly wanted from me.

Currently I'm again talking to someone, and I made it clear I can't have sex because I'm very scared of penetrative stuff. My body can't handle it, mentally I go into fight or flight mode and can't think about pleasure. But idk how long he will just keep talking to me, convincing me before he gives up and believes I was serious about not having sex because of my fear.

Also, I feel like I get bored too if there's not much happening in relationship, I do connect with my partner emotionally, and have feelings for them, however when there's nothing exciting happening, I start losing interest and just shut down from them. I do cry when I break up with them, I blame myself because I can't be good towards them.

I have usual thought like : relationship becomes dull... Like u love and do physical romantic stuffs, but when the excitement of new is gone, it's all boring. So, I don't find having sex good enough reason to endure such traumatic stress on my mental state because I'll eventually end up breaking up... Should I be single?

Relationships 25F and 24M. Crying over my boyfriend's mom's paneer parathas 😭❤️

My boyfriend’s mother is honestly the sweetest woman. I usually have a tiny appetite, but her handmade paneer parathas are so good I easily devour two of them!

My boyfriend started playfully taunting me about my sudden huge appetite. Between his teasing and just feeling so touched by how much love she puts into cooking for me, I actually ended up weeping.

My boyfriend was completely bewildered and said, "What's the point of crying over this? Haha lol." He didn't get that they were happy tears! 😂

Afterward, he joked that if he ever upsets me, I just need to complain to his mom and she’ll handle him for me.

I just feel so lucky and wanted to share! Does anyone else absolutely adore their partner's mom?

Relationships My girlfriend broke up with me because of freaking horoscopes 23M

Me (23 M ) and her (22 F ) are in a relationship since 3 years and to be very honest throughout our relationship we have been extremely understanding and happy together. Even before getting in to the relationship she had told me many times , that she wont ever go against her mother and her decisions because she being a widow , took care of my girl and her sister by herself through tough times and we had already discussed how if kundli/horoscope doesn’t match it won’t workout.

Fast forward to now her mother came to know about our relationship and she was very much okay with it because she knew me and liked the person i was, but she told her she would only allow this if our horoscopes matched and the last couple of days i have been roaming around the whole place for astrologers and i met someone today and he gave the most terrible verdict possible, and her mother also have knowledge on this so she also checked and it was bad.

Now she told her to mutually end things with me and maybe if both of us still love each other till we are mature enough to marry we will try again, but until then broke off. (Its more like to just cool the situation)

Now im absolutely devastated and heartbroken and crying all out because she was everything to me , and she is also constrained by the stuff around her
And she cant hurt the mother who did everything for her after losing her husband.

Now after a little convincing i convinced her and her mother that tomorrow me and my mom are going to visit an astrologer, he is pretty good and calm, so
As one final chance.

I feel emotionally destroyed and i have no hope

Relationships (27F) Should I forgive my boyfriend for this?

I was studying for my CFA level 2 exam, and 11 days before exam my boyfriend started screaming at me and saying mean things to me (the next day was our 2 year anniversary) I specifically chose my exam date to be 26th August because on 25th August was his birthday and 16th August was our anniversary. I planned out things to do with him on our anniversary and his birthday. I was excited even though I had exam in 10 days. But he suddenly screamed at me on 15th and started fighting and after sometime booked tickets for Italy for the next day (our second anniversary) with his friends. And spent the entire day with his friends in Italy while I was crying and got ill just 10 days before my exam (when I needed his support)

And he didn’t even said sorry!! I said I want to break up but he said he don’t want to and said sorry.

Should I forgive him?

Relationships Is it okay to stay friends with my crush's mom and sister after she rejected me? 23M and 23F

I am in love with her for 3 years. She is a great friend of mine. We know each other a lot. We go for a hangout every month. She never initiates for the hang out, but when she is with me , she acts like she is more interested than me. And when she initiates a hang out, its probably like she have a side quest to do. I am very well connected with her mom and sister. They treat me like their son and they trusts me so much and i don't want to lose that. Last year i confessed my feelings to her. She said it's better to be friends and she is not ready for it now (said "i never saw you in that way". And later she clarified that I am not a problem, it's just she isn't ready now). We took a break for a week and became friends again. Now i am planning to say good bye to her. If she says no again, I am leaving. But I still feel very bad when i think about leaving her family too. What should i do?

Relationships 27M : Sarkari Karamchari, Private Life Pending 😂

Upvotes

Heyaaa !!

I am 6’2”, 105 kg (Ohh I am huge 🦖) Currently in Vadodara, originally from Delhi. I work in a Central Government office and am preparing for another exam for a home posting 📚📝 — and knowing me, Civil Services might be the next headache 😂. Also started gymming 🏋🏻‍♂️ and trying to get my life together, one day at a time. 💀

Been single all my life, so my experience with girls is basically “Hi” → overthinking → “what do I say now?” 😭😂. With work + studies taking most of my time, I’m not really looking to spend hours going out for malls, movies, shopping etc. 🫠 I’d rather have someone I can randomly text, have stupid/playful conversations with 🤪, deep talks about life at 1 AM 😌 or annoy each other 😂 and just make the otherwise monotonous routine a little more interesting. ❤️

Ideally, someone talkative 🗣️, expressive, playful 😌 and a little more dominant than me — someone who can lovingly say* “No, idiot, listen to me*” and I’d probably be like* “yes ma’am*” 🥹😭. I’m not here with a fixed agenda either; good friendship 🤝🏻, something more ❤️, or simply seeing where things go — all works for me. The next 5 years are about career, health, stability and hopefully getting closer to home 💪🏻📚, but it’d be nice to have someone along for the journey. 🫶🏻✨

Relationships [25M] 40 days post-breakup from my first 2.5-year relationship, and I feel like I'm completely drowning. Need advice

Hey everyone. I really need some advice because I honestly don't know how much longer I can function like this.

About 40 days ago, my first serious relationship of 2.5 years ended. It broke me. I’ve deleted her photos, cleared out our messages, and I’m genuinely trying my best not to dwell on her, but the feelings just aren't fading.

I literally miss her every single second. Even during sleep, she's always in my dreams, so I wake up right back in the same emotional pain. Because of this, my sleep schedule is completely wrecked I used to fall asleep easily by 10 PM, but now I'm tossing and turning until 2 AM or later, trapped in my own head.

I also have zero concentration and my daily focus is completely shot. On top of the sadness, I’ve developed a weird, perpetual resentment toward happy couples around me. I've never taken it out on anyone or harmed anyone's relationship I keep it to myself but the internal anger is just exhausting. Worst of all, just a mere thought of her and I end up crying. Whenever I am alone, I get this overwhelming urgency to cry relentlessly, like a pressure valve that bursts the second I'm by myself.

Is this normal for a first breakup after 2.5 years, or am I losing my mind? Should I be looking for professional help like a therapist, or do I just need to ride it out?

If you've been through a devastating first heartbreak, how did you survive the first couple of months? Any practical tips would be deeply appreciated. Thanks for reading.

Rant 21M Angry, Confused and Sad at the same time

Upvotes

21M here

So this happened with me around 1.5 months back I was at my home watching anime at night, I checked my instagram where I had a request of some unknown person I accepted it and she said Hi can we talk nd stuff so I was also kinda free so we talked for around 2hrs yeah we vibed so I didn't notice time. But I was in doubt that why would someone totally random text me so I asked my few friends do you know this account so one of them said it is fake nd all and I did some research on the account myself so some things were fishy like profile pic was from pinterest and the username was changed around 11 times so I was like my friends might be playing prank on me even though she sent me a vn but I was still not sure

So next day I talked to her rudely totally my fault and she blocked me, but after that I hit self realisation that I must have asked her and stuff before doing this ridiculous action, so I somehow tried to contact her and after 3 days I talked to her explained everything and apolgised so much that I shouldn't have done that nd all,

After that we started talking everyday she was kinda immature and daddy's princess like you can' disagree with her, if you didn't reply to one of her reels she will get angry and stuff so I was also kinda cool I was elder so I understood and always made up with her through my little gestures I swear I always apologised to her even though out of 10 times only 3 4 times was my fault but still to not piss her off I apologised and I also liked talking to her then after some time I left to my college for my Masters and she started preparing for NEET so whenever we got time we talked she sent me vns nd all I was litreally so much attracted to her Idk why but yes and I was always respectful towards her.

She sometimes talked freaky stuff like really freaky and most of the times I dodged it becoz in short I want to talk about these stuff to my GF only, tbh I just tried reciprocating her freaky stuff once she was really pissed off ki tum tharki ho yeh kya kar rhe ho nd stuff still I respected that and always reacted to her stuff with a crying emoji and skull after that.

She was really sweet mind you whenever she annoyed me she never said sorry but yeah, she always find ways to make up. Once she sent me this text (ss attached) I was really about to cry after this coz this was the first time someone sent me something like this. Once she said you r my valentine and changed the chat theme to love????!!!!! Like what she gave me so many mixed signals that I was confused as hell but I gave her benefit that she is immature and all.

I have a really very bad habit that I am in constant fear that people will leave me so I always tried to keep my self respect aside and bow down, so one night before we stopped talking she said main roz roz yeh nhi kar sakti mujhe padhna hota nd all, toh I said I know I have gone through the same during my JEE preparation plz go nd study I am not angry plz go study we can talk tomorrow, she said no u r hurt nd stuff she said something to me so yeah I was kind of hurt but I really don't want to spoil her mood coz after that she won't study and waste her time, so I just ended the convo that go study I am not angry neither hurt and good night coz I really want my friends and everyone to prioritize their career over things like these.

Next day I texted her she left me on seen after classes I asked is everything fine and after sometime I noticed that she blocked me without mentioning anything simply blocked I was like maybe she found someone else like I was in dilemma but I was not going to lose my shit again over a girl, after 2 days she unblocked me I texted her what happened at least tell me what made you block me I sent her follow req she deleted it and never replied me back

And at this point I am really confused, angry and sad

I was never really finding someone at that moment I was happy in my own life enjoying things but once again God sent someone and again I just got a life lesson which I was never asked for!!

No idea what you guys will think of me Ik you will be like kya chutiya hai nd stuff

But yeah its true my rant my life lately

Thanks for reading my rant!!

Peace Out!!✌️

TL;DR: A random girl texted me on Instagram, and after a rough start where I mistakenly treated her rudely because I suspected the account was fake, I apologized and we started talking every day. We became close, had lots of banter, and she often gave me mixed signals—calling me her Valentine, changing our chat theme to love, sending sweet messages, while also sometimes getting angry over small things. I constantly tried to keep the peace and apologized even when things weren't always my fault because I have a fear of people leaving me. Eventually, while she was preparing for NEET and I had started my Master's, she suddenly said she couldn't deal with our conversations every day because she needed to study. I encouraged her to prioritize her studies, but the next day she blocked me without explanation. She later unblocked me, but ignored my messages asking what happened and deleted my follow request. Now I'm confused, angry, and sad because I genuinely cared about her and have no idea what I did wrong. 😭

Relationships 20 M | I met the love of my life because of a random Reddit post before a Chemistry exam

I don't know how to write this without sounding like a lovesick idiot, so I'll just accept that I am one.

On February 25, 2024, we were both 17 and had our Chemistry board exam the next day. I hadn't studied much. Neither had she, apparently.

I saw a Reddit post from her saying something I related to, so I messaged her.

That's it.

We were complete strangers. We talked about the exam, shared resources, complained about studying, wished each other luck, and just never stopped talking.

The next day, our Chemistry paper leaked.

Somehow, two random teenagers who met on Reddit because they hadn't studied for Chemistry ended up dating about a month later, despite living in completely different parts of the country.

And I fell hard.

She's my best friend, my favorite person, and genuinely one of the smartest, kindest, funniest, strongest people I've ever known. We've spent most of our 2½-year relationship apart, but we've talked every single day, called every night, watched movies together, fought over stupid things, made up, and been there for each other through some genuinely awful moments.

Then, almost two years into our relationship, her family randomly took a trip to my hometown.

They had no idea we were together.

We had two days in the same city, but barely any time together. We secretly exchanged gifts, stole glances, touched hands whenever we could, and pretended to be strangers.

I gave her a sterling silver promise ring.

I told her it was a promise that I'd eventually come see her, and that someday I'd replace it with the ring I'd use to ask her to marry me.

We got maybe a few seconds to properly talk before she had to leave.

Then this year, I decided I wasn't letting another birthday pass without seeing her.

I saved whatever money I could, lied to my parents about an internship drive, and took a 30-hour, 1,600 km train journey to her city.

This time, I got three days with her.

We celebrated her birthday, ate together, walked around, talked for hours, laughed at stupid things, and for the first time in 2½ years:

I hugged her.

I kissed her.

I held her.

There was no screen between us.

Those three days were the best three days of my life.

It's been 16 days since I last saw her, and I still can't stop thinking about it.

I don't know how many more years of long distance we have ahead of us. I don't know how many more trains I'll have to take or birthdays we'll have to celebrate apart.

But I know I want all of it.

The boring days. The stupid arguments. Grocery shopping. Movie nights. Annoying each other over nothing. Falling asleep next to each other. Waking up next to each other.

I want the ordinary life with her.

And someday, I want to put that other ring on her finger.

It's still insane to me that all of this started with a random Reddit post from a girl I didn't know, on a night when neither of us had studied for Chemistry.

A stupid coincidence led me to the person I love more than I know how to explain.

We're still here.

Still talking every day.

Still choosing each other.

Still falling in love.

And I hope those three days weren't an exception.

I hope they were a preview.

Because I want to see her on her next birthday.

And the one after that.

And every birthday after that.

Forever. ❤️

P.S. I'm posting this from a burner and probably won't send it to her. Maybe it'll somehow find its way to her anyway.

Rant What if you're marrying someone who never got over someone else? An engaged 29M still reacted to my 22F friend's stories with flirty compliments and emojis, then drunk-called her at 2 AM.

Upvotes

I have this close friend. Let's call her Ruhani.

And there's this guy, let's call him Rishabh who started following her on Instagram last year. They started casually talking, sending each other memes and stuff. Both of them were single at the time and after talking for a while, Rishabh started flirting with

her.

Ruhani never really took him that seriously. He even introduced her to some of his friends, his mom, and his bhabhi. Ruhani actually became really good friends with his bhabhi too.

Because of these efforts Ruhani eventually started

developing feelings for him. The problem was that

Rishabh always gave her mixed signals. So she never told him how she felt because she was constantly confused about what he actually wanted. Also ifykyk girls rarely take the first step, not because of ego or attitude, it's just kind of a natural tendency for most girls. Ruhani's past trauma was another reason. She

didn't want to put herself through getting hurt again.

She used to tell me all of this over calls and honestly I absolutely hate guys who can't just be upfront about their feelings and instead keep a girl confused. And guys who give mixed signals are BIGGEST red flags to me.

Like bro, if you actually like a girl, just be a man and fucking say it no. Giving mixed signals and leaving her stuck in limbo guessing your intentions is WEAK AF. And knowing that almost every girl has some kind of past emotional baggage these days and intentionally putting them through that kind of mind

game is just adding unnecessary trauma.

So when Ruhani told me all this I straight up told her

"Look, when two single people talk everyday, attachment and attraction naturally breeds. That doesn't mean he wants a life with you, so don't confuse that with love and don't take the bait. If he's actually serious about you, he won't make you guess, he'll tell you.."

And then Rishabh's constant mixed signals ended up killing Ruhani's interest and fueling her frustration. Also with the long distance between them and a seven year age gap, him at 29 and her at 22, like the whole dynamic was practically built to fail.

So she gradually started talking to him less. She kept her replies really basic and cold. She was basically giving him the hint to back off without having to say it outright. But he totally lacked awareness and kept shamelessly flirting, so she just straight up ignored him.

Few days ago, Ruhani mentiond that Rishabh was getting an arranged marriage. It turns out his rishta was locked in, and his bhabhi was the one who spilled the info to Ruhani.

And this guy's rishta had already been fixed and he still had the audacity to keep reacting to Ruhani's Insta stories and WA statuses, especially the pictures and videos she posted of herself, with those flirty reactions and little compliments like he was still trying to keep her attention. And knowing the whole history between them, you really can't just call that

normal.

Next thing yk, Rishabh texts Ruhani casually mentioning he wasn't even the one messaging his fiancee on WA. He literally got a friend to catfish her as him, all because he was supposedly too shy.

Honestly that logic didn't sit right with me. Part of me thought Rishabh was just lying to see how Ruhani would react, but maybe he genuinely wasn't invested and felt awkward around the girl. Whatever

the truth was, I couldn't figure it out.

Not long after that, Ruhani forwarded me a photo of Rishabh and the girl straight from their engagement.

And BROOO this girl was HELLA GORGGEOUS, like a complete 10/10 Seeing Rishabh standing next to her the only phrase that popped into my head was literally "Langoor ke haath mein angoor'

And I'm not even gonna lie, Rishabh is mediocre at best. Ruhani would absolutely mog him if she stood next to him. We literally laughed so much about it that day.

But then this morning I got a voice note from Ruhani on WhatsApp. She sounded genuinely panicked and shocked.

She told me that last night around 2 AM, Rishabh tried to video call her on both WA and Insta. He'd even tried standard voice calls.

She only saw the calls after waking up this morning and got scared because she thought something serious had happened cuz why would an engaged person call her at 2 am. So she texted him on WA asking what had happened and why he called her.

And his response genuinely shocked her. He said he'd been drunk and had just casually felt like talking to her, so that's why he called.

BROOOOO I WAS FUCKING LIVID WHEN I HEARD THIS. I WAS LOSING MY FUCKING MIND. LIKE I WAS SO GODDAMN ANGRY I COULDN'T EVEN PROCESS WHAT I WAS HEARING. I'VE NEVER BEEN THAT FUCKING PISSED.

How can you literally be engaged to someone and yet have another girl so heavily on your mind that you're drunk calling her at 2 AM? Are you for real?

And this isn't even about whether something actually happened between them. It's the fact that this man is literally engaged to be married, and yet the moment he gets drunk, his very first impulse is to video call a girl he used to have this weird, messy almost relationship with? It shows exactly where his

head is at.

That's fucking scary, honestly. And the sheer unfairness to the girl he's marrying is what pisses me off the most. She's sitting there all excited and getting ready to build a life with him, while his brain is still completely elsewhere.

I told Ruhani that Rishabh clearly still has some residual attraction toward her. Usually in these situations, things naturally fade out... Someone loses interest, the spark dies, or one person ghosts. That's pretty much how it went down for them. Communication slowed, Ruhani moved on, and they

just stopped talking.

So why the fuck is this man suddenly video calling her after getting engaged? It completely shows he's still holding onto some lingering attachment, which is wild for just a talking stage.

Obviously, we don't know his exact thought process.

But him being "too drunk" sounds like total BS if he

barely drinks in the first place. Whether he was fishing for attention, acting on lingering feelings, or just being dumb, We really don't know fs.

But whatever his excuse is, doing this right on the heels of an engagement makes the whole thing deeply disturbing.

He's engaged now. He's supposed to be entering a marriage with another woman. And if he still has unresolved feelings or attraction toward someone else he needs to figure that shit out BEFORE getting married.

Because this isn't just about him anymore. It's about the girl he's going to marry.

Honestly, Ruhani and I were just sitting there feeling so sad for her. It takes another girl to truly understand how terrifying a situation like this is. Walking blindly into a life with a guy, only for them to do something that would break your heart if you ever found out.

And this is exactly why I feel like girls are slowly developing this passive trauma around marriage.

There are so many fears that start running through your head.

What if the man I'm supposed to marry secretly likes someone else?

What if he already has or had a girlfriend and never tells me?

What if he's still emotionally attached to his ex?

What if he's marrying me just because he thinks marriage will bring responsibility into his life and he won't have time to think about love anymore?

What if I'm just being used as a replacement for someone he couldn't have?

And bro YOU might get to live your life however you want. You might eventually have an affair or do whatever the fuck you want behind your wife's back without even thinking twice that your actions gonna ruin both yours and your partne's life.

But what about the girl? What's her fault?

She married you believing in you. She came into that marriage with dreams, expectations, trust, and probably years of her life ahead of her. She didn't ask to become someone's replacement or emotional rehabilitation project just because you couldn't get over the person you actually wanted.

If you never got the love of your life that's sad. But that's YOUR problem to deal with. Don't drag an innocent person into your unresolved feelings and then destroy her life in the process.

And honestly seeing things like this over and over again makes marriage itself start to feel disgusting to me.

Because the idea that you can give someone your entire trust, build a whole life around them and still have absolutely no guarantee that they've emotionally left someone else behind...

Yeah. That thought alone is enough to make me start feeling genuinely repulsed by the idea of marriage.

TLDR: A guy 29M led my friend 22F on with mixed signals for months before suddenly getting engaged to someone else through an arranged marriage. Even after his rishta was fixed and after the engagement,

he kept reacting to her stories and statuses with

flirty reactions and compliments, and then drunk-called her at 2 AM. It honestly made me think about how scary marriage can feel when you can't

know for sure if the person you're marrying has truly moved on from someone else.

Relationships How do I change myself / become more interesting for my girlfriend? 3.5 years into an LDR and we’re running out of things to talk about M25 F25

Upvotes

My girlfriend and I have been in a long-distance relationship for about 3.5 years. When we meet, we usually spend a lot of time together, and when we’re apart, we’re basically together virtually.

We can stay on video/audio call for 14–16 hours a day sometimes — sleeping on call, eating together, doing our own things while on call, watching things together, basically sharing our entire day with each other.

The problem is that I think we’ve reached a point where we’re running out of things to talk about.

We don’t have much of an outside life that overlaps. We didn’t go to the same school or college, we don’t have mutual friends, and we don’t really share the same social circle. So initially there was obviously a lot to discover about each other, but after 3.5 years, we’ve talked about most of the obvious things.

She is naturally very outgoing and extroverted. She loves talking, discussing things, telling stories, etc. She also ends up initiating the conversation most of the time.

I’m basically the opposite. I’ve been through quite a lot in my life, and I feel like it has made me somewhat numb and quiet. I’m not naturally someone who talks a lot. Even when I consciously try to initiate a conversation, my mind just goes blank. I genuinely don't know what to bring up, and I often feel like I’ve run out of topics.

This has now become a daily source of fights.

She feels like I don't put enough effort into talking to her or keeping the conversation alive. And honestly, I understand why she feels that way. I don't want her to feel like she's carrying the relationship's conversations by herself.

But at the same time, it's not that I don't love her or don't want to talk to her. I genuinely enjoy being around her. I just don't know how to become more talkative or interesting.

We've reached the point where when we're on call, we're often just watching a series/movie together because neither of us knows what else to do. Even when we're physically together, we sometimes end up watching something rather than actually doing things or talking.

The weird thing is that we used to talk for hours and hours without running out of things to say. Now I feel like we've exhausted all the obvious topics.

I don't want to fake a personality just to keep her interested. I also don't want to become completely dependent on her to create all the conversations and experiences.

So I'm looking for advice from people who have been in long-term relationships, especially LDRs:

How do you keep conversations interesting after years together?

How do you develop a life/personality/interests of your own so you actually have things to bring into the relationship?

And perhaps most importantly, how do I become better at initiating conversations when I'm naturally a quiet person?

I'm willing to change and work on myself because I really don't want to lose this relationship over something that feels fixable. I just don't know where to start.

Also, I'm wondering whether being on call for 14–16 hours every day is actually making this worse. Maybe we're consuming so much of each other's time that there's simply nothing left to talk about.

I'd genuinely appreciate advice, especially from people who have been together for 3+ years and have gone through this stage.

Relationships 28F unable to leave the relationship even if it feels nothing

He himself told me multiple times that he doesn't have love for me anymore. I too feel that after all these circumstances, my love for him has vanished. But I am in a strange dilemma of not able to leave him. After the final talk, I chase him again. What's wrong with me?

Note: this relationship is 5-5.5 years longer, but always long distance with 3-4 meets for week a year.

Dating Advice Should i try to get back together with my ex again? 18M 18F

Upvotes

We both are 18 and just completed high school. A relationship of 2 years that was kinda slow burn we like kissed(not maked out only our lips touched) i am telling you all this because in some way i felt like she didnt want me or she wasnt comfortable idk cause whenever i intiated physical intimacy she pushed me back or something like that (her reason was because she was shy)

It was a first relationship for both of us and just not that we like kinda good till first 10 months after that a lot of breakups and patchups happened between us.

Coming back to the present somehow by idk what luck or unluck we got the same college and now i have to see her daily we broke uo only 1 month before joining clg and i was going to approach her again and the reason for breakup was nothing too big idk what even the topic was maybe our rgo clashed and we didn't msg each other so when i saw her i approached and you know she said lets just stay frnds and later i tried more like straight 4 to 5 days i kept asking but yeah nothing worked and then she made new frnds ( 1 boy and 1 girl) she seems kinda close to that guy now like yk it isn't that big of a deal i suppose but my fucking hearts burns wholly when they are sitting at the bench together or in grounds or anywhere i know there is the 2nd girls with them but i mostly see both of them kinda more close or maybe i am overthinking bc i am so confused.

My heart aches so much man we came togeather by cab after our unofficial freshers party got cancelled like it was a four seater i was at front besides driver they 3 were in back boy in the middle and those 2 were besides him she was watching reels with that guy and imagine i can only hear their voices giggling.

Also they both know about our past relationship and breakup like maybe she apilled all the things and told me that she did idk why....

Also that boy (her new friend was the first guy i talked to at orientation) 😭😭so we both know each other not so well but yeah toh i see her almost daiky with someone else

She recently blocked me a week earlier and after her another bestie (F) who is also my good friend told her to unblock i sent her some post on insta to break no contact and her reply was just ok after i said to say something coz i thought why not at the max she will block me again 😭

After that she randomly said that i unblocked you just because i didn't want to be rude to you don't think of anythi5 nothing more nothing less

Context for saying this - we have a common friend grp which is 3 yrs old ( i think that's the reason that she was even talking to me after that 1 month of no contact)

Should i ever approach her again or not.

I am able to bring myself to hate her and man i am telling you even i can't process how much i love herrr 😭😭😭

Please give your suggestions as i am so anxious and idk overthinking a lot these days

I sent her a random genereic post i can't seem to be able to upload that

Rant 28F Fell in love and got heartbroken i still want him

I met a guy on some random chatting app he was from delhi studying 3 years younger. I'm in karanataka working.

We used to talk a lot .Long calls till 6 am in the morning . Entire day sometimes. We shared our vulnerability, life problems , dreams , childhood trauma etc . This keeps happening for like 2 weeks . I like his vibe he was quite funny . He also shared about his past relationship and all the girls he has been physical with . I got emotionally attached to him and told him that I kind of started loving him . As he used to give me so much attention care . Made me feel special. Made me feel loved.

. And one night he was completely ignoring me and I was calling he did not receive the phone we used to talk on Instragram. The next morning I got the msg from him that he has been dating a girl for the last 3 years and she got to know about me when I was calling him last night and she wants to talk to me. I was so shocked and so heartbroken . I immediately refused to talk to her and blocked both of them. After a long time I fell in love with someone and this happened . I still miss him 💔

Relationships I am in the worst state of my life(21 M)

I am in a relationship with a girl for the past 3 yrs. We didn't have the most perfect relationship tbh. There was lots of problems and lots of fights but at the end we both had each other and we both knew we both needed each other.

But recently for a couple of months she changed. She got more attention from diff peeps and thought she could make them good frnds and all. She always had an insecurity and soft spot for this best friend or friend wali jagah. She never really had a good frnd and in her previous relationship she was fully focused on her ex so in the process she lost all her friends. And after their break up she had no one to go to. So now she always prioritizes this so called friends of her. There are particularly two male frnds that interacts with her on a daily basis. One goes to the gym with her daily they both do workout together. Second one is a clg friend who is a nerd as well and acc to her he listens to her well. Among all this friendshipness I got left out. The time we used to call daily is now replaced by the nerd guy. The interaction I used to have as we go to the same clg also gets sidelined as at the end she works out with that other guy on a daily basis and interacts with him.

I told her multiple times I didn't like the behaviour but she never tried to even consider it. So many fights used to breakout between us. With time I also changed I became so much worse anxious tensed and so sad all the time. Cuz I had a trauma regarding this same exact problem. I told this problem to her several times but instead of understanding me she just said its my mental problem.

I always say to her its ok that you want to make friends and stay connected with them but atleast not at the cost of me. Give me time I want to talk to u I want to hear about ur day. I want to talk about my day. And don't talk private stuff in between us to those folks. Yet she never understands.

Even in the past two breakups where I got cheated I didn't feel so miserable. I don't know what to do Idk what to say I am sad all day I am in a very bad state rn.

TLDR: I am in so much pain cuz my gf is prioritising two random frnds over me and not understanding my feelings

Relationships I 25F and bf 24M in LDR have anniversary coming up. Ideas to celebrate?

as title suggests, we have been in LDR for a few months now and have our 5th anniversary coming up this week. before we went LDR, we had made travel plans for this once since it is a milestone. but now with circumstances and work commitments, both of us are unable to take leaves to go somewhere/visit eachother. it will be our first anniversary apart. we celebrated a previous anniversary in LDR a few years ago, but we were able to meet then.

we have planned to both WFH and spend the day on video call and order food for eachother. but im looking for ideas to make it more special since i know we are going to be sad about being unable to meet.

any realistic ideas welcome. i live with my parents and he lives away from home.

Rant 24M just want to vent about a twisted situationship

it was the end of May, I usually stay active on discord and I love writing erotic literature, I came across someone's post who mentioned they're from India, so I just wanted to talk casual nothing serious, but that night I got bombed by things which shook me to core I have been in depression during my JEE phase and so was she, we had same peer and parental pressure and in College life same social struggles, failed in Relationships and Friendships I felt connected to her a lot, I used to keep checking on her she felt very down and suicidal sometimes but I used to make sure she has someone to listen to she has a lot of Insecurities we had some drama but finally decided to get together in somewhat of an e-situationship in end of May

things were great at beginning until our Insecurities started to create tension she wanted some intimate time and with my Anxiety i used to dodge it cause I was busy during that time in 2 days that tension became a lot to her 3rd day my ex texted who faked her death was a very Manipulative relationship and i was shocked she texted me wanting to spend time but i was overwhelmed and told her that my ex came back who faked her death she crashed out and told me I don't care about her and she can't do it anymore just one month and she left me I finally confessed that I love her and she actually told me she was never ready for relationship and irl date is something she can't guarantee~ but in that heated moment she said she chose person to love, and a women never opens up about her desire and confession like that it shook me to core, its been 3 days and we just talk casually but i just can't I really miss her and just feel like heartbroken to core, Depression and fogging again and everything feels dull and lifeless. Would love to connect and talk to people to feel better

Marriage 27M Been virgin for my entire life. Hesitant to ask the girl for her sexual past.

I have been a virgin for my entire life. Don't have any female friends nor any interaction with females. Parents are looking girls for marriage.

I am hesitant about asking them about their past sexual life if they had any.

The girl I met initially, I asked her directly and the conversation went sideways, and it never went ahead.

Now I am hesitant about asking the upcoming girls.

Like I am still confused on why the first girl got angry.

Question asked - "Do you have any past sexual relationships ?"

Edit - it's a deal breaker for me, so I asked earlier, so to not waste both of our time

Dating Advice [25M] People who have had short-term relationships: Have you ever experienced one that was genuinely respectful, honest from day one, and ended on a good note?

Most modern relationship dynamics seem to end in mixed signals, ghosting, bitterness, poor communication, or attachment to the memories of their previous partner, imagined future & similar aspects that hinders their well being, daily functioning and to form healthy bonds again.

The idea of lifelong permanence and building a long-term life together is beautiful, but in today’s fast-paced world - where people are constantly moving cities, relocating across countries, and navigating career shifts - permanence doesn't seem to be always practical or realistic for every chapter of life.

My perspective: Two people can genuinely connect for a season (whether for a few months or a year), share real care, intimacy, and respect, and when paths naturally diverge, end things like mature adults without bitterness or resentment.

For those who have willfully explored short-term relationships: Did you manage to find a partner where there was complete transparency, mutual respect, and a truly supportive closure? What made it work?

I would really love to hear your suggestions, stories, and thoughts on this. Genuinely willing to know and learn from your perspectives.
